I'm on it like a squeege-guy on glue.

I do not have a mullet, dammit.

Great job again, guys. I especially like that dead sexy new music in there.

japanime?
Hmmph!
*walks off in a huff*

I call shenanigans! The only list a Myst games belongs on is a 'most inexplicaby popular' list.

Other than that regrettable lapse in taste, it was a most excellent show. You sound much more comfortable this time around. I also like the porn grooves.

Exactly, this whole segment was riddled with lapses in judgement. Fletch dissing XCom, all the ridiculous Myst love, they either sobered up for the rest of the broadcast or they weren't drunk enough, I haven't decided which.

Seriously though, the show was great. I didn't think you could make me laugh more than last week, but you did

Looks like its going to be a good Monday... if I can get iTunes to work... where my Mac is when I need it!

Myst? How can you all remember Myst and forget Tetris? That game was a social revolution. I think that should be number one, with Myst as a close second.

Anyway, good job guys, again. You wouldn't believe the amount of work I get done when listening to the radio show - making up for lost time, I guess :).

*edit: Also, I too love Leonard Nimoy. Everything, from Futurama to In Search Of, is made better with the addition of Mr. Nimoy.

This issue was... weird. I think the guys simply haven't had any worthy subjects to discuss. They made a commendable effort at discussing whatever they had at hand, but still... Come on. How interesting some list at Gamespot.com really is?

You're just saying that 'cause you're a girl.

I thought it was really interesting to note that every game in the top 10 is going to have a sequel within the next year. I thought the list smelled fishy and that nailed it on the head.

Also, hello? This is a gaming site. We don't discuss anything of worth, ever. Sorry it's not about World Oil Futures and the rise of the Peruvian dollar.

Hey, shutup, Mullethead. You're just jealous cause I have better mudflaps than you ;).

If I had to pick this list, I don't think Metal Gear Solid, for instance, would be on it. A good game, but not nearly as revolutionary as, oh, say, Super Mario Brothers or Final Fantasy VII (or VI!) or Pong.... or Myst or Tetris!

iTunes 5 rule...! I updated my Mac but have not loaded up yet. If it's anything like on PC... WOW! Seems better over all, loading time, UI and actually works in Podcast department!

Great show guys... funny as hell. Now I have to props on pronouncing my name right... oh how I hate those 14yr on xLive! They seem to find all kind of ways to mess it up.

Very cool... made my Monday more than tolerable

The Masterpiece theater bit was pure gold.

I'm a little iffy on that CNet list too... mostly FP stuff of which 4 were shooters. Would've been nice to see C&C get it's own slot instead of being lumped in with Starcraft.. I'd also like to see FFVII on there (first port of that franchise, IIRC).. although that was more of a revitalization of an old franchise and of course the original was made in what.. 1991?

And some minor constructive criticism.. try to jive up the volume a bit.. I had to keep one finger on the volume slider to make this work-playable.

All in all.. great show and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Funny, I was always told that when I had nothing nice to say, I should discuss the weather...

Yoink!

That CNET list was top 10 games of the last 10 years, otherwise I would have been all over Tetris as well, Kat.

Oh it was? I must have missed that part. Um. Woops?

But still... then why Myst? You said Myst came out in 1993, which was 12 years ago... Wouldn't Riven (released in 1997) be a fairer suggestion?

His argument, and I'm not sure I agree with it, is that Myst was rereleased in '95 to run under the new Windows OS. I'm tempted to call shenanigans on his shenanigans, but then we'd have a big pile of shenanigans to clean up later, and I'm on shananigan clean up duty this week. Just sounds like a lot of work to me.

Oh, and this is an outstanding broadcast! Anyone who says otherwise can go stick their head in a big bucket of hydrogen peroxide!

If you have no strong thoughts about Leonard Nimoy one way or the other lets take care of that right now.

Oh. Now I feel pwned by the assorted shenanigans. Perhaps I should have done less work, and listened more carefully to the broadcast. (I guess I'll have to listen to it again! ;))

Anyway, you guys did do a great job this week in any case. And I thought the audio sounded much better this time around, too. Also, the bit about the horseless carriages made me giggle like a schoolgirl.

Phenominal job guys.

Any reference to 'schoolgirls' makes me giggle like a dirty old man.

You have maligned the sacred metal. I'm sending Ronnie James Dio over to your respective houses and he will kill you and eat your scrotums raw.

Enjoyed the hell out of that broadcast. Well done, folks! I'm looking forward to the next installment. You guys sound like pros.

You're out of control and need to be formally censured.

Also, great broadcast guys. You're sort of like talk radio DJs, except you say f#ck and dude more, to which I can totally relate.

No love for Fallout or System Shock.

For shame. Shame on you so much, that when your children grow to play games, may they turn to you and say, "Shame on you for giving no love to Fallout or System Shock."

When I first heard about the idea of the podcasts, I thought, "interesting idea, but I can't imagine these guys have enough wit to provide much beyond their typically excellent front page articles."

Well, I was dead wrong, I'll just leave it at that. Keep em coming!!

And Rilla, sure the newsworthy stuff was thin this time, but that isn't their fault. They made it about as entertaining as it could've been! I'm still happier having listened than if I hadn't, so it's all good.

And great work on the music Podunk! As a musician AND someone whose profession it used to be to do music interludes on radio, they sound a hell of a lot better than 95% of the radio you hear out there!

Thanks, man!

Right now just the intro/outro/porno music is mine, the other stuff is still miscellaneous material that Fletcher picked out. I'll have some more stuff in there next time around...provided, of course, that Fletch continues to like what I'm working up.

I checked out your band, it's pretty sweet!

I'M ALL BLONDE! : (

Oh, I love these shows man. I hope you keep doing this for years and years. I can't find the link to the cnet list, tho.

The "Masterpiece theater" was awesome =)

I'm going to call shenanigans on the list because Mario 64 isn't on the list. Mario 64 is the most important console game of the 3d console game generation, more important than in my eyes than Myst or Half-life. I agree that Myst was bigger with non-gamers so that is points but to the game industry Mario 64 is up there.
