League Of Legends Catch All

Teemo is so squishy...

We just finished an hour long game with an enemy Twitch that had over 400 DPS, he sunk us in one second, we were able to coordinate to squish him (to recycle the term) and the rest of the team would fall soon afterwards.

I'm in love with Annie, all of her abilities are just brutal; when you nuke for almost 2000 instantly (Q+W+R) on a single spot and find out you killed 3 people by the time you setup your fireshield... it's nice.

I'm a nuker; high mana (in this case AP, since Dota had a pretty good mechanic I missed; mana = attack power) will get the job done, Nice and Simple.

Off to bed since it's almost 4.00am and I need to wake up in3 hours.

Sorry that we broke your winning streak, ranalin

No worries it would've happened anyway. That last match i was sucking on fumes especially. Still the streak was a blast... 9 or 10 i'll have to check. Either way it was fun and i like playing with Goodjers win or lose. Prefer winning of course

Annie is crazy if you set up her stun and then drop Tibbers into the middle of an unsuspecting crowd. AOE stun followed up by a high damage incinerate (if that's the cone of fire one) works amazingly well.

Have you seen my bear Tibbers?
And yes, Annie is the ganking queen. Forget everything you've heard about Eve, Annie's where it's at.

Since her Disintegrate spell get's replenished if you kill a minion (or Champion) she's also great for early game; mana depletion is what's giving me a hard time with Vinegar:

I think it's spell Veigar but, yeah, he's annoying. I find his stun more irritating than anything though.

I like Vinegar better.

yeah, it was kind of on purpose;

the AP building skill is just brutal. If you get enough mana-regen for early game, you can top 500AP by mid-to-end game (level 16 to 18). Then just a couple of items to assure mana-penetration and you're set.

Is it possible to reach a level at which you stop getting pure feeders in games? I understand that you'll always have your share of bad teams and not-so-good players, but the system really should be coded to recognize the folks that consistently feed and segregate them into their own games.

There is a hidden ELO rating system so if you get good enough then you'll get into higher skill games, theoretically.

Agreed, as system that took use of actual playing stats to group people is much better then simple grouping them based on how much they've played. Win/loss ratios, kill/death/assist ratios, ect.

I think if there's a system like this already in place, it's not working right.

In order to help you all with picking Runes I have put together the following spreadsheet.
It simply shows the Tier 3 runes and compares them across Mark/Glyph/Seal.

Each rune type has a specific 'area' it focuses on - you can see how this easily in the spreadsheet.

I did not put in costs as it is a fairly moot point in the decision process, (for me at least). If I want to focus on building a rune set - I'll do that regardless of cost as it takes a while anyways.

Nor did I include tier 1/2 stats as they fall in line with tier 3 in their weightings.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...

If you see any thing I typoed or such just let me know.

Also it "seems" to me that if you combine runes make sure to combine all of the same type -or you seem to get random junk as the result.

I've yet to see a need for runes. There hasnt been anyone i've come across yet that i thought was just untouchable if we had the same levels.

To me they just don't seem worth the price or time.
Maybe when I get higher up in levels or just have some extra IP but for now I'm going to focus on unlocking more champions.

They only give you a minor edge - nothing major. But with my "red" runes and Quints I start off with 25% attack speed boost. That is fairly significant.

At the start of a match it is, but as the game goes on the gap on that bonus dwindles.

How so - do you mean that it actually decreases - or the fact that other gain items to also buff themselves?

Tier 1 and 3 runes seem worthwhile, tier 2 runes don't. Tier 1 gives you 66% of the benefit of tier 3 at a tiny fraction of the cost, so you might as well fill your slots with tier 1's while you await level 20, at which time the IP you saved not getting tier 2's can be put immediately to tier 3's.

The latter...

Some days the world is just a tad bit brighter.

No idea why the Picasso online albums photo don't link correctly. Must be lack of extension

That same logic applies to every item you buy during the game - the idea is to get them 1st to always hold that advantage. So runes get you that little extra bump to stay ahead.

With runes it's a matter of how you play.
I don't care about unlocking all the champions and playing them all. I've decided I simply can't handle playing any melee champs. Maybe in time I could figure out how to build them and work them - but I fail consistently and prefer ranged champs - so play tristana & teemo mostly.

I had around 5000+ IP just sitting there doing nothing so I started buying runes.

Oh and P.S. - You avatar is disturbing yet so very familiar.

I've just stumbled onto this thread. When do folks get together to play this?

Random times through the day, just check in the vent every once in a while. You're bound to find people on then add them to your friends list. Or you can go down my list adding people.

Anyone else laughing at Gaald dissing League of Legends on the latest podcast, when we've played quite a bit with him now after they recorded that. Can we get a 180 on that next week perhaps?

In the 4 games I've played since the new rotation I've yet to see a game without Warwick. I've also yet to see anybody play him and not feed the whole game.

When was the rotation? I haven't had a chance to play in the last 4 days. I'm interested in giving Ashe or Sivir a try.

The free champions rotate every Thursday I think.

It's Wednesday...have they rotated already? Bah, I'll try to play tonight and find out for myself.

Oh my bad, they do rotate them on Wednesday. The last rotation was Dec. 23, so today would be the time for the new rotation.
