DDO: Khyber Roll Call

A proper fighter can handle that side gate single-handedly.

Well Ruki, your greatest enemy in DDO is often your group, the monsters you can just kill.

No updates in ten days? Has everyone stopped playing already? :p

My paladin is 4K shy of level six. should she brave the Three Barrel Cove content yet?

Dragon Age happened.

I'll be back eventually. Farelden still needs saving though.

I still play, but I hardly see anyone else on anymore

I'd like to still play as well, but all my usual play groups have caught dragon age/borderlands fever.

If we can set a day/time for regular grouping, I'd be in on it. My personal bad nights are Tuesdays but that's about it.

I've been in the process of moving, and what free time I have had has gone to Dragon Age. I would like to start playing this again.

I finally just unlocked the 32 point build.

wow....I am still stuck at level 6 because I don't know where to level, and fighters must be a dime a dozen, I slap up lfg and still no luck after 2 hours, that is, when I am on and not playing DragonAge...

Dragon age is taking all my time now as well, but with the holiday, my in-laws are in town this week.

Not sure if it matters but I've been slowly playing a Dwarf Paladin named Geleon with so coworkers/friends. Still Level 2 and running around Korthos but maybe someday I'll get over to Stormreach. Great game, love the concepts just wish I had more time to devote to it.

Congrats Wiz,

Are you going to start over now?

I just returned to DDO - love the changes...

Is anyone still playing? If I might start a new toon on the server...

If anyone has toons on Agonnses, hell it starts with an A!

We're all mostly on the Kyber server.

Had this downloaded for some time now. Getting an itch to play an MMO so I'll be starting a toon on Kyber.

This has become a brilliant game over the past few months. What a fantastic job Turbine has done with preparing for the F2P roll out.

I am spending my time on Khyber with Gwyinn (GWJ's "Punch and Pie" guild) and Titanious. I have a couple of other Khyber characters I am working on but those have been getting the majority of my time.

How does leveling work in this game? Since I don't know anything about D&D what is the relationship between rank and levels? My guy is going up in rank but the level stays the same and the trainer says I can't advance in level just yet.

There are four ranks, I think, you have to go through and then you level up. Basicly you have to fill all of the little orbs in the bottom right to gain a level. One orb fill every time the bar fills all the way.

So it's like having 4 sub levels for each main level?

Each rank I get I am getting points to use at the trainer for new stats, what happens when you level up?

Each rank gets you an action point to purchase enhancements with. But few enhancements cost only one point. At level, you get traditional 3rd edition level benefits.

Plus you have to get leveling crystals/shards every 4 levels to advance any further.

Actually, they're removing those in the next update!

How the heck does one start up wizard? I tried to start one but even in the first tutorial dungeon I ran out of magic points for my magic missile, and mana doesn't seem to recharge either.

Early on use buffs like Shield, Mage Armor and Masters Touch, equip a weapon and swing away. Things are easy enough to hit on Korthos that even with a low str you can do OK in melee.

Also next update (Feb 3rd) summoned pets are being fixed and will last 10 mins per cast and will follow you through the dungeon making them useful.

It is tough due to limited Spell Points to be an offensive caster early on, once you gain a few levels it gets easier. Spell Point management is still crucial with a wizard, their true power comes from being able to swap spells so they can take what they need for any situation.

It's been a while (I got semi distracted with two alts) but I finally added another level to my pally. She is now 6 pally / 1 fighter and I have some time to decide whether or not to return to the pally path again or continue to add fighter.

Who's still playing? I want a guild to join!

Man, I wish I had the time these days.

I just started playing around with this. Really, really impressive.

Mateea Lightbringer, Level 1 Pally.

I still play, but I am on the Orien Server now as part of the DDOCast Build Guild.
