Am I the only one who, no matter how uninterested in a thread I might have originally been, can't help but to peek inside to see what the fuss is all about when I see that tantalizing little lock icon? It's not as if the drama or controversy is generally worth the time it takes to check it out, but I just can't help myself.
They get me every single time...
I can't stand people who rubber neck and car accidents but yeah, if I see a locked thread, I have to know why.
In before the lock!
In before the lock!
:D
You don't get an achievement for this you know?

I do the same thing

The best ones are when Certis makes the thread and ends up locking it, that one I had to go take a peek into.
I've always wanted to use this but I was never fast enough:

LOL I had one where I was the last poster, and I was technically in after the lock! (Certis posted that the thread was being locked, and then my post is after his!)
I must admit I do this as well. It started by habit when I was lurking on the site. I like to get an idea of what is and isn't permissable so I'd hunt down locked threads to see what caused the problem.
I tell ya, I've found some very interesting and very old threads out there.
Along those same lines whenever a thread gets necro'd and I see a "Fired!" user I always have to look back through their posts to try to figure out what they did to get banhammered.
Uh...only on slow work days though.
Every single time, definitely. I try to pinpoint the exact moment when the thread starts to get 'overexcited' and boards the train to Cleveland.
Haha, and here I thought I was the only ThreadLock Voyeur!
Whenever my threads get overexcited I try to think about baseball and nuns. Unfortunately that has been known to, on occasion, only exacerbate the problem.

I have to look especially if I skimmed the thread previously. My first thought is usually "What the hell happened? I was just in there an hour ago!"

Hopefully you've got a thing for nuns. Otherwise, that's just disturbing

could someone please explain this Cleveland expression and where it comes from?
I had never heard of it until this week and now it seems I'm hearing it all over the place!
Cleveland sucks.

Would you ever intentionally board a train to Cleveland?
Would you ever intentionally board a train to Cleveland?
That Depends. Is it referencing Oogaba or the city? If it's Oogaba, I'm with Ozzy. ALL ABOOORD!!!
Trivia: I used to have a band named Drowning in Cleveland. Best name evah!
Only if I had previously bought a ticket for that train.
You guys realize this thread has only lasted this long because Dragon Age came out yesterday, right?

As a proud Clevelandite let me point and laugh at your ignorance. You never drown in Cleveland... you burn to death first.
Would you ever intentionally board a train to Cleveland?
Would you, indeed!

Aside from locks, I'm always dying to know what deleted posts held.
There are some P&C thread topics I stay out of. If they get locked, though, I have to peruse the last 2 pages to see how they ended.
I don't recall anything being locked recently. What's wrong with people?
Am I young and hopelessly naive if I don't expect this thread to get locked?

I'm always dying to know what Certis does when people impersonate his edits

The best one was when Derek Smart got banned.
