I've been within 8 miles of South America once. Does that count?

Yup, territorial waters stop at 12 miles out i think.

Well I was on an island. You can see Venezuela from Trinidad & Tobago.

So we have two in China and only four in Missouri? That sounds about right.

When did you go to T&T? We went there on vacation once. It was just about the most relaxing vacation I've ever been on. I understand it's a great place for SCUBA diving, too -- I tried the training dives, and just had too much trouble with ear pressure to enjoy it. But I could have snorkeled all day long.

I added an entry for Raleigh. Hopefully I'll be in Cary soon, but I'll be honest for now...

At least you visit. That counts for something!

I'm the only goodjer in the Pacific Ocean. The closest person is over 2500 miles away.

Well at least you put your marker on land. The Pacific marker that some joker put out there was on nothing but water.

Maybe they live in that weird USO from that film 'The Abyss'? (or was it in the atlantic? can't remember)

Not a single person from South America huh? I'm kind of surprised actually; I figured we'd have one or two.

We do. There is at least one.

Feeank is from Venezuela, I suspect Baron of Hell is as well, and I'm sure there's someone else.

Neat. We need more Tennessee Goodjers, though.

Springfield, OR represent!

Another CT tag.

I feel lonely being the only one in Vegas.. that's..weird..

Wow, never thought I'd end up on the map...

Hmmm. This map has taught me (as a European) that the mid-west of the U.S must indeed suck...

But our women are top notch!

The midwest is great, but that's a little secret that we like to keep from all the coast people, so shhhh!

Why'd you go and post that on a public message board?!?

He's lying everyone. Please stay where you are.

Please.

Relax. Colorado is considered the West, not the Mid-west. We're safe.

Yeah, but Colorado is geographically closer to Prozac's hunting territory.

After the "next big one" or with global warming, it becomes oceanfront property.

*edit
I'm sorry, I just noticed that one of us lives near a place on the map called Red Butte. It made me chuckle.

Wow I didn't know you were talking about me until I checked the map. Guess we all just shun that part of town

Added Dezlen to Richmond since he said he can't get the google map to load right. Now I'm not alone!

That should be mud-west. Just take an airplane over it one day, and look down.

Hmm, that's just south of where I live... Red Deer.

I really don't know what you guys think "Midwest" means. Would it help if I told you it's roughly a triangle between St. Louis, Minneapolis and Cleveland?

I never understood how a section geographically on the east half could be called midwest.

Added to Austin (close enough)

Because the west half didn't used to count.

I think we're the "Great Lakes Region" now for many folks with "Midwest" referring more to Kansas, Nebraska, etc. I'm not sure when that happened but it throws me off.
