Perhaps you could slap in a HDMI wall plate at each location with some cat5/6 linking the two behind the scenes.

FTFY

I should offer up a picture of my spaces, even though I just got them set up again after moving. The living room still has an SDTV, but has a NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Xbox, Plastation 2 and a Wii hooked up to it. I only have a 19" widescreen monitor hooked up to my computer currently, I have a 21" CRT and 17" Viewsonic laying around that I could hook up, but I've found 1 monitor is all I need at home.

I see kleenex! The lotion must be in one of those drawers.

Also, a floppy drive with a floppy sticking out of it. How quaint.

Well I'm not going to quote Quintin, that excuse didn't work the first time..

Yeah, a floppy drive. I'm surprised the damn thing still works. The whole rig looks old but that's because I keep reusing back unspoiled parts; don't think I've changed everything all together in one go in 9 years, at least something gets reused be it the speakers or DVD drives.

You have sort of the same set up I do with the laptop. Instead of buying a second monitor a while back, I decided that another computer would be better for chat/web/whatever while doing something on my main box because it wouldn't use any of my main's resources. That and it's mobile.

Yep. Pretty much what I figured too. Also it's a Mac and I always wanted to "learn" how to use one. Goes well with that M-Audio interface box behind it and the DAW software that goes along with it.

Not shown is the Ubuntu dual-boot that I installed in the same desktop box, used for just messing around and learning the Linux terminal. If I do upgrade to an I5 setup, most likely Win 7 will go along with that, and thus I'm thinking of wiping the Linux partitions and just use virtualbox. Should give me back around 25gigs of harddisk space. Which is frankly not alot nowadays, especially with my 1TB NAS not shown in that pic.

My skills, they are so weak.

I would love to learn how to do it though. Some day....

30ft hdmi is about $35 at monoprice, do it!

Here's my rather spartan gaming area. Just the essentials here.

When I bought that PC case, I had no idea how big it was. It takes up a lot of room under the desk, and I'd like to replace it with something smaller, but it's just such a great case...

Liar. I don't see a single person being kicked into a well.

Now it's just the essentials.

A man after my own tastes. Nice space!

Really nice, Serengeti.

UCS TIE Interceptor and X-Wing.

I recently had to downsize my desk area, so the UCS Blockade Runner, Death Star, and Star Destroyer are in storage. It used to be Epic with legos.

Love the Star Wars.

Gaming setup. I play sitting on the floor, and make my kid do the same when he plays.

Why is this?

Your house also has a very tan, black, silver theme to it from those few pics. It looks like you have a lot of nice things like paintings and sculptures. I'd recommend putting something above the TV, right now it looks a little blank. I'm only saying so since you've already got such a put together and coordinated look. :)

A little update to the office, I hung some art. Try identifying what is it, guys.

Regarding the living room. I like my interior airy and sparse. Almost "ascetic", as my wife says. The stuff I like to put in on the floor and onto the walls should accent space rather than consume it. My wife is more into "cozy" type of surroundings, so we're balancing each other there

Sitting on the floor while gaming -- for a number of reason. One, it allows to stretch. I sit in half lotus, typically. My son is in either full lotus or a split for some time, then alternating. A perfect way to take out the "couch potato" factor out of gaming. If you're tired sitting with your posture upright and your hips joins stretched, you've spent enough time playing, and it's time to do something else. We do have a gaming chair, but I rather us not use it often.

I bought an exercise ball for the very same reason. Less slouching and more ab movement while gaming. Unfortunately, my basement isn't as large as my old room mates and I end up far to close to the TV if I use it now

That's easy. Eddard Stark in the godswood of Winterfell.

Nice Mike. Did you hear they cast Sean Bean for that role in the HBO pilot?

Crespin: On the wall to the left of my monitor is a lego triptych of Vader's redemption. I should get out more.

One does not simply walk into Casterly Rock!

That one practically wrote itself.

Ahh, so that's what is is. And you didn't even mention the DL-44 you got hiding back there.

You're not going to do it? Fine, I'll point out the lotion / soap in the first picture.

Why the four speakers if they're all going to be in front of you? Is this the secret to your TF2 skills?

I hear all! And the bottle is the little waterless hand soap stuff. I imagine that would sting a little...
