Alright, for the next two weeks we're ranking by TA ratio, which is basically the measure of how 'difficult' or 'rare' your achievement collection is. Higher TA ratio means you've gotten a lot of achievements that other people haven't got.
Well that bumped me up about 3 places, so, yeah! I'm still firmly in the middle of the road territory though.
I was really enjoying my inflated MUA2 achievements for awhile, sadly the point value for those have come back down to Earth now. Speaking of MUA2, I really hate the grindy achievements that most games have, like Power of Two. I could spend a few hours in the simulator going through ever possible combination, but that just sounds excruciatingly boring.
I'm not second from the bottom any more.
Turns out I'm in the top 10 Surprise!
Some people on the leaderboard (Gravey, Ahrezmendi) got a huge jump from the change. Nei is still first, of course.
Waa! Top 10 baby! I don't farm no peasant achievements, I only got the good stuff.
I'm not second from the bottom any more. :(
Yeah, that would be me.
I fell all the way to 36. I guess that means I'm a filthy skimmer.
Whaa? I'm on the second page now
Clem I recant my blessing of changing up the leader board.
Alright, from 42nd to 15th!
Ok sent my request. Fear my Lego Star Wars skilz.
Sweet, bumped up 14 spots to 3rd. I'm not *too* surprised by that, I find the harder to get achievements more fun, so long as they're not things that are hair-pullingly frustrating (such beating Bionic Commando ReArmed on the hardest difficulty).
Finally finished RE5, 100% completion (except for DLC which I won't buy). Next up - Fable 2.
Re: Oblivion - The achievements seem few and far apart, but they tend to come more in bunches. So long as you focus on a single quest line to completion they'll come pretty fast. The promotions for the guilds tend to be slow at first, then speed up dramatically towards the end. Often as not, it's one or two quick quests from the rank 2 title to Leader, so you'll net a couple big point achievements fairly quickly from each one that way.
As for the small hamlets, most of them come up as part of a quest at some point or another, so you'll likely be visiting them anyway.
What is man? A miserable little pile of Achievements!
I've started Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It's Achievements so far look like a pretty standard mix: three or four for playing the game through at least once; one for playing the game through a second time; one for masochistic completionism; a few for not completely sucking at the game; and one for masochistic perfectionism. I won't really be going out of my way to get them unless the game really sucks me in, but it's something to keep an eye on.
I'm down with switching up the order.
I'm just curious as to if there is an order in which I am not at the end of the list.

Alphabetical?
Curses! down 3 places...oh well, I guess that could be worse.

also , crazy coincidence that OGRedd and Chiggie GWJ are right
next to each other with the same gamer pic :O
...unless that was deliberate. In which case...carry on.
Then I played for another hour and realized that everybody in this game is hideous.
The curse of the Elder Scrolls games. Bethesda has pretty bad character face modeling, and it's not improved by their facial animations. Fallout 3 improved it by leaps and bounds, and going back to Oblivion does show exactly how bad it was.
I don't know if I support changing up the leaderboard now
I just went from 5th place to 52nd place
but it's all good, I look forward to seeing the next change.

Yeah, I don't think I'd support the change then, either...
Sent a request. Even more visible evidence that I can't finish games.
Sweet. I'm not as last as I thought I'd be
Sorting by achievement ratio seems to reward the completionists, to the detriment of those who just play through games without looking for achievements.
Your observation is only partially correct. Its not just being completionist and pursuing elusive achievements, but also WHAT games you've completed/played. It's a bi-lateral measurement, in that a completion can raise your TA ratio or lower it, which is a different mindset/perspective than piling on achievement score. If you have too many low hanging fruit achievement games on your list, it drags down your score.
I think a person could really specialize in completing one particular game with a killer TA ratio, and that would put them at the top of this particular chart.
The leaderboard switchup is cool I think, and I hope it cycles from time to time. It's a good reminder that those gaming achievement scores can be measured in many different ways, and ultimately it really just depends on how you personally enjoy tackling them. We assign value to them from a perspective that we find entertaining.
I really appreciate Clemenstation introducing this site. TA ratio is really a cool concept that breathes some fresh air into achievements, and with the leaderboards etc it's another way to enjoy the 360 sense of community. There are some achievements that require so much work to earn, and TA ration fills the void with the vanilla scoring by reacting to how the LIVE community for that game has done with a particular achievement. What a cool site and concept.
True. I'd love to get the Marathon achievement in Trials HD. It has a ratio of 30.88!
My best achievement: Serious Complex (Shadow Complex). Currently 3.21 ratio.
Nei's list is pretty sick. 7.11!?
Mine is Orb Hunter in Crackdown, at 3.43.
My best achievement ratio is currently 3.64 for Undefeated Heroes in MUA2.
My best achievement TA score is 181 for Won the War in CoD2.
Best Achievement: A Day in Central Park from Alone in the Dark
Best TrueAchievement Ratios: Payback from The Orange Box
