Mmmmm... odious tea.

Or is it famed rap star Odious T?
Or is it nasty fashion statement odious tee?

Whoever made the comment on the podcast that whenever someone talks about this game they will visualize a gnarly-smelly beverage was right on.

Firefighter, eh? Hmm. Not sure I'm familiar with the term. Could you give an example? :D

Oh, you know, just like the real life.

Odious Trent FTW.

Damn it, now I can't help but go around saying "you gotta have the spice!"

Hot Scoops mentioned the English fan translation of Policenauts on Idle Thumbs 44. Has anyone checked out this game/fan translation?

How does it work anyway? Is it meant for emulating the game on PC and then applying patch or what?

This is from Eurogamer's review of Policenauts (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/policenauts-review)

Eurogamer wrote:

NOTE: Playing Policenauts in English will require a legitimate copy of the game, the fan patch and either an emulator or PlayStation hardware equipped to play copied discs. The original language version of Policenauts is available on the Japanese PlayStation Store for PS3 owners.

Thanks. Looks like a lot of work to get it (especially where I live) and get it to run but I think I'll try it someday, provided I can still buy a copy somewhere.

This just made my day significantly better.

I'm playing through the translated version now. When I'm done I would be willing to sale/ship my Japanese copy to you if you want. I think you can also find them on ebay for pretty cheap.

I approve, although I've always thought of the snuggie as more of a cultist uniform.

You're thinking of the Fuggly.

Depends on what part of the South you live in.

I'd like to hear Chris Remo do another song one of these days. I request "Space A**hole" (Red Faction). Idle Thumbs has changed my view of this game completely. I still really enjoy the game, but damn this guy really is just a nut job in a trench coat.

That conversation was hilarious. Picturing the guy on video talking to his boss about how there is a problem with the image of a dude far in the back ground running around destroying everything with a hammer is classic.

"What the f*** is going on on Mars!?!"

The Ripper thing can't be real can it? Maybe EA are trying to make Dante's Inferno seem like a good idea by comparison.

When reading stories on Destructoid there is always a good possibility that they're full of sh*t. The LA Times has also posted unconfirmed rumors corroborating at least the title, though.

Just started getting into this podcast. I like the folks, I like the topics, I like their perspectives.

Things I don't like: the production (all the interuptions for cutesy sound clips seem chaotic. I can see how long time listeners could look on them as inside jokes, but they made me want to turn my computer off), lack of structure, and they really haven't made me laugh once in about 5 episodes (I generally get at least a few chuckles each episode of GWJ). Maybe I was in a less generous/amiable mood after hearing "the wizaaaaaaaaaaard" six times in ten minutes.

It may help to go back and listen to the first few episodes. Learning the "in" jokes will make the whole thing a lot funnier.

That's how I felt at first. Now I listen every week. Unsubscribe while there is still time!!!

Agreed. Normally I'm annoyed by "inside jokes" since they aren't really funny in and of themselves, but if you "get" them, they're hilarious. Most of the inside jokes on Idle Thumbs are funny enough to be worth the effort.

Ya gotta use the kid...

I really like the production work on the show. It makes the show sound far more unpredictable and also shows that a lot more thought and care was put into it then most podcasts that just record people talking about games for an hour, then putting it up completely unedited.

Agreed. I love the editing on that show.

I think Chris has been a little more experimental lately. I enjoy it most of the time but I wasn't a huge fan of the recent ODST editing in the recent episode with hawt scoops.

I do like the extra out-take like material they have been adding to the end of episodes recently.
