Crackdown 2 Catch-All

Screens!

Ahhh yea.... that's the stuff. Right into the veins baby.

I think that the "realistic" graphics look like crap when on a large scale. The close-up stuff looked okay but that screen up there just looks like a 1998 FPS game - especially with those really badly done 'cylinders'. Carmack is a god... why hasn't everyone else just copied (and paid for) his patching technology that allows actual real-looking curves?

There's orbs.

Pretty sure the orbs are sprites

I think Sinatar was saying that you can say what you want about the look of its factory exhaust stacks, there's orb-whoring to be had.

I just need one more orb. Just one more, and I'll be fixed for the day.

Those screenies look just about right. I'd like to stay away from day 1 purchasing, but I don't have a good feeling about it. I loves me some super-jumping...

Yeah; I'm at 2 left.

Day 1 for me. Period.

This has been off the radar for me. I know I will be picking it up, just not sure if it's gonna be one of those titles that I notice sombody else playing on live and hit myself in the forehead for not noticing it was out.

Anyone else think the agent looks like a robot?

You armor upgrades as you level, similar to the Agency vehicles, I read.

Just finished the first one this week. Ready for some more agent action.

The original Crackdown was such a great game. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Can't wait for this one.

Day one for me. But that's not saying much.
Crackdown is a staple in the game-pyramid. (oh, wait they don't call it a food-pyramid anymore do they, I can never keep up with how fast our government changes things)

There are 132 places in that screenshot I want to check for agility orbs.

I feel frustrated already.

Mind shrinking the giant image in the first post?

I might be interested if they make the gunplay more interesting than the mindless lock-on system of the first game.

Done.

My god... it's full of orbs.

I still wish they had gone more graphic novel-y with the visuals than the first game, rather than less, but then I also wish fairie elves would send me to the future and do my job for me so I could stay at home and play Crackdown 2.

If they show up, send a few my way, will ya? I could use a future vacation.

Footage from TGS of the deathmatch mode.

What? Multiplayer?

Bah.

Part 1 of the single player TGS demo.

While it's pretty impressive from a technical standpoint, I'm worried about the gameplay.

In particular, the zombies look like they'd be really dull/annoying to fight, like the Flood often were in Halo. I don't see getting the sense of satisfaction from taking one of them down as I did from picking off a rocket-toting gangbanger.

If half the game is set during nighttime with swarms of them everywhere, it could be quite the slog.

Part 2

DO WANT!

Looks like the city is the "same", only ravaged by zombies. Most of the geometry has changed significantly but the streets and major landmarks are still there.

Totally NOT playing co-op with your ass, Sinatar
