So what is this muckbane you speak of, and what dungeon does it drop in?

Drops in the Den of the Kobold Brothers. It is useful as it kills oozes slimes and jellies quick and saves your other weapons from being eaten.

2 of my group of 4 got it (the melee classes) after we killed the rare encounter ooze Muck.

The drunk guy with a secret in the one tavern gives the quest for it right? Is it a particlular difficulty level that it drops in? Or will Muk appear in any of them?

I gave this a go, and it's eating my brain, so add me to the list. I have a dwarf cleric named Chrysolite. She's about halfway through level 2 at the moment, still hanging about on the island. Second character will probably be a ranger.

Next time I'm in, I'll look up the Punch & Pie guild.

I'm not sure about difficulty, but I've heard and seen that you must turn both valves to open the rear area before he will appear (One in each of the brother's chambers). We tested this by running through the area he shows up with one valve open. No Muk. Ran back, turned the other one, and lo and behold, there he was.

Correct. Muck can appear in any difficulty.

Aaaaaarrrgggg!!!

Celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day with DDO this weekend by purchasing a Pirate Bandana - Scallywag's Cap for your character!* This is a limited time offer found exclusively in the DDO Store, and available on September 19th and 20th only!
Talk like a pirate, and look like a pirate! And get +10 to your Haggle skill with the Pirate Bandana - available September 19th & 20th only!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

I know there are some of you in this thread that are actually experienced DDO players with knowledge of the various adventure modules. It would be helpful if some of you could provide some insight on the various weekend sale adventure packs they put up. Right now there's a pirate themed one on sale cheap and I really wish I knew if it was something I should grab or if it's lower quality and the points would be best spent elsewhere.

I like Three Barrell Cove. I think it's worth it.

I looked, but I didn't see it. I have suspicions about what was behind the * that Ducki didn't mention...

Does the Punch & Pie guild have a forum of its own somewhere?

I found it on the featured items list. It was 150 points, and I think it can be traded amongst your own characters, as it's bound to the account, not the character. It gives a nifty +10 to haggle too. Personally, I'd prefer it to be a captain's hat instead of a bandanna, but pirate gear is pirate gear.

Seriously thinking of joining you guys. Whats the best and easy way to get my hands on the client? Probably the High Def client would work better given how old the game is. But 3+ gigs is a heft download to attempt through a browser. Id hate to get cut midway and have to restart.

What you actually download from Turbine's site is a download manager, not the entire client. That's really the best way to go.

I am in on Khyber, a human fighter named Skriss. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm powering through dungeons on my own for the most part. Hurray for soloable content!

Made it to level 3 so far, and just picked up a copper leveling sigil from the Redfang spider quest. Woo.

Updated.

I've lost track of all the people on the list, at least in-game. This one is still good.

I'll try to post a list of people who can invite today.

Hey peoples,

Mostly a stranger here but I know some of you from Age of Conan, or possibly from my dreams which is kinda creepy.

Chars I have moved into the GWJ guild for the purpose of adventuring and helping:

Mothra - Bard 7
Pringles - Barb 7 / Ftr 4
Saen - Wiz 17
Marmoset - Sorc 16
Pyn - Cleric 11

Long time DDO player, always happy to do whatever in game.

Updated.

Woo hoo! Mothra!

Im in! Tamren Starshadow, elf rogue 1

Do we have some sort of guild I should be joining in-game?

This should probably get added to the first post, cause I'm not sure how many people have seen it, but I made a steam group to better organize the guild. So join up.

Hey guys when adding DDO to Steam to use the overlay what .exe file do I point it to? The dndclient or the launcher?

dndclient

That's what I did.

Pointing Steam to the launcher works fine too.

Updated and updated.

Spoiler:

P.S.: and updated. *wink*

Okay, add me in. I've got a dwarven rogue who's going to be multi-classing soon (following a guide online for a Warchanter bard build that I liked) named Hadrigor Goldstrike. He's still in Korthos, so anyone in range who wants to group up, lemme know.

I have a level 3 paladin (Duckilama) a level 2 cleric(Duc Lama) and a Fig1/Rog1 (Duckii).
One of my characters is already in Punch&Pie, but I'm not clear - is the GWJ guild making a comeback, or is everyone going into P&P?

Oh, I really should post my characters:

Zeruda - Healbot cleric
Yuniku - TWF paladin
Torlani - Trapcaster Rog/Wiz
Kirsi - Spellsinger bard
Erandis - blaster Sorceror

Is there any sort of archive/wiki that lists all of the quests and rewards in DDO?

Updated.

Unless there's a reason to switch, I think the majority of active players are in P&P already.

I have yet to ever even see anyone in Punch & Pie

In saying that I started up a couple other characters

Hacham - Lvl 3 Monk

Ertic 3/1 Wizard Rogue

I tried to download DDO and I think it borked my internet. I blame the Turbine launcher, has anyone else had this problem? Once I stopped the download and removed the launcher everything seemed fine.

The Turbine Launcher will run in your system tray after you try to close it in the traditional manner. It's entirely possible that you missed it moving to the tray and it "borked" your internet by sitting down there hogging all your available bandwidth with the download.
