1 vs. 100 (Xbox 360) Catch-All

I've played live 4 times now and still haven't hit the mob. I can't seem to get to the top of the scoreboard, even if I hit the button as fast as possible. I'm going to try it with my wired Tournament Edition stick with turbo on and I'll report the results.

I'm still amazed how many people get simple questions wrong. Example.

Which of the following is not a form of skiing:

"Water, Concrete, Cross Country"

Bam! 10 out of the mob.

I've been playing this most of the "season" and finally made it into the mob this past Friday night only to bomb out on the fourth question. I don't feel too bad given most of the mob AND the One didn't get it either but it was very disheartening at the time. Other than that, the best I've done was to make it into the top ten once during a game. Still a fun game though.

Sorry Farscry, I just couldn't remember who it was! I was a lot of fun though!

The first few questions do seem more like captchas to make sure you're an actual, thinking person answering.

I don't know, I've gotten a number of those easy questions wrong just by pressing the wrong button accidentally. Then I got the "Who is the daughter of the Overseer in Fallout 3?" wrong because the answers were something like Amanda, Amata, Emily, and I pressed X since Amanda was so close to Amata.

I can image, this game is a lot more fun playing with friends and talking.

Yeah, but usually the easy questions would have choices like: Amata, Certis and Elysium.

I've been playing for weeks, and I haven't gotten to be the one or the mob. I must be pretty bad. Maybe you guys should friend me up to better your odds if we play together ; D

I've never been the one or the mob either, but I have enjoyed the incorrect answers to some dumb-ass questions. I once watched 20 people get eliminated on "Which of these is a brand of car? Equestrian/Jungian/Chevrolet".

TWENTY PEOPLE.

If the timer runs down and you don't enter an answer (assuming you haven't hit Y to skip the question) it counts as WRONG.

So, yeah, there are some dumbasses but there are also people who took an ill-timed bathroom break as well.

Everyone knows about the Jungian Express.

I'll take Porcelain Convenience for $400, Alex.

1vs100 Live is, supposedly, Beatles Trivia with Harmonix, tomorrow at 8pm.

Who would like to party-up and play? I've never played with others in my group and this seems like a perfect occasion to drink and take stabs at what the working title for the song Yesterday was before Paul had any lyrics written*.

And after 1vs100 wraps up, everyone is invited to join us in Liberty City to ride with the Lost and Damned M.C. at 10pm Eastern for more drinking and, I'm assuming, crashing into each other.

I may be on both nights. Hopefully.

Sounds like a plan to me. If I'm on, invite me.

The wife is a Beatles fan - if we're in on Saturday night, invite me along - we'll tag-team it on the couch.

Uh, do you have the Xbox Live Vision Camera hooked up?

ICE ROAD TRUCKERS!

(There are two people in existence that will get that, and they know who they are.)

Was there an Ice Road Truckers question? sh*t, I should've been on tonight.

Played the live session with Lupus, Counselar, Stylez and Prederick. It was way more fun than I was planning on having; makes me wish I had jumped in weeks ago.

Does anyone know if the Extended Play will still be going on, now that the season is over?

Were you able to get on last night? It wouldn't let me past the lobby. Showed the lobby, but my avatar would never walk onscreen, and it just hung there for 20 minutes or so til I gave up.

Also, why wasn't I told Felicia Day was guest-hosting on Friday night?

Yeah it was good fun. Lots of accidental button presses. I blame the booze.

I meant to join in last night, as my wife and daughter were pretty excited to play the Beatles game. Then we started watching Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and missed the 9:00pm reminder I had set, because we stream through our TivoHD rather than the 360. Kind of sad.

But the movie was pretty good, and my daughter loved it.

There are plenty of Extended Play sessions scheduled. They aren't in an obvious place. For some reason they aren't featured, but if you find the list there are tons of them.

We did have some initial trouble getting into the game, namely skeleton who had to leave and rejoin, but I think we all got in within the first 5-10 minutes.

Yeah, my game did the same thing. It just sat at the lobby without giving me any indication that the game had actually started. Had I not been in a party and heard the others answering questions, I probably would have thought it was broken and quit.

Best question of the night was about the Beatles song Dear Prudence. I believe something like 47 or 53 people from the Mob went out on that question.

I missed both Felicia Day and the Beatles.

Why do they think Friday and Saturday nights are the best times to be at home on the Xbox??

It was a great time playing with you guys. That game is infinitely more fun in a party than it is alone.

new season coming next week. We should try to get a GWJ party together for the first show.
