Goojers with job opportunities

In addition to my earlier post, we're looking for a Senior Database Designer. 6+ years of experience required.

If you live in Edmonton, AB, I am in need of an assistant/grunt.
Must know rudimentary SQL (or be a swift learner) and have an advanced proficiency with Excel.
Also, be willing to put up with me for a boss. And female. Also good-looking. Open for "casual encounters".

What do you mean this isn't the blind date thread?

Epic (electronic medical record vendor) is, and always will be, hiring. That is, if you have a university degree, high GPA, and want to live in south-central Wisconsin.

They will ask for your GPA... no matter how old you are.

My company is looking for C# developers (both for web and back end application and EDI). You'd have to be in the Chicago area or willing to relocate. We are looking for entry level to senior positions. Not to freak anyone out, but VB6 is a plus, since we are converting our software from VB6 to C#. Send me a PM if you are interested.

We use Epic at our clinics. Well, I don't. I write software that interfaces with it, but someday I'll get to come up to Wisconsin for a month of training, and I've been told it's always in January. My friend on our Epic team is going to bring his Rock Band set, I'll bring my guitar and XBox, and it'll be a month of drunken plastic karaoke. You'll be invited.

I'm looking for gimps. You know where to find me...

If only I still lived in Madison.. it's the perfect upper midwest January activity. Guess I violated the letter of the thread's law by posting positions at a former employer.

Since I put up a new post, and again with the ex-employers, I'll mention that Healthpartners in MN's twin cities is looking for a .NET developer.

my company is going to be hiring DBAs and Solaris & Windows SAs in Raleigh/Durham, NC area (Research Triangle Park). Those interested please follow up with me for details.

Positions are still available.

Just found out we're hiring two Entry-Level Software Engineers. We're located in Elmhurst, IL (suburb of Chicago). We tend to be big on hiring people straight out of school, rather than your typical Catch 22 of needing 2-3 years experience before anyone will consider you, so if you just graduated, it's definitely worth a look.

If you're interested in applying, PM me and I'll answer any questions and give you the email of the best person to send the resume along to.

(don't mind the weird “ stuff in the ad. I apparently did a really sh*tty job of reviewing it before I threw it up there. It'll be fixed next week.)

Don't forget that if you want to join they LinkedIn group, I need a message with a link to your profile. If I don't hear anything from you, the request to join automatically expires. So if you sent me one in the past and haven't heard anything, please resend it with a link to your GWJ profile.

I don't know if this is really the place to post this, but I figured I'd give it a try. If not, just let me know and I will gladly move it. I am currently in the Madison, WI area looking for employment, any employment, so long as I can make more money than I currently am. I have a year of experience in the Student Loan field as a Loan Operations and Support Rep, meaning I do a lot of busy work updating student loans. Don't talk to borrowers much, but maintain relationships with schools via email and phone. Basically a loan maintenance position and I'm in charge of some things. Also have experience writing and leading projects. Have an Economics Bachelors as well as one in English, and am pretty tech savvy (and a quick study!).

If anyone has any leads that could help me out in my job search it would be greatly appreciated. Obviously my resume is available upon request.

Glad I found this thread. I've got 10 years in the IT business specially doing client services delivery. I'm currently doing business development and operations management for a startup software company. At this point I'm looking for anything from a helpdesk manager job to post-sale account management work. Oh and I'm in the Dallas, TX area.

Rise thread!
So, I am currently on the internship hunt. Good news is I'm fairly mobile and not therefore restricted to Oil jobs.
So far the most interesting opportunities I've found for Math B.S. is at the NSA.
Wondering if anyone had the skinny on any private crypto or otherwise math based internships.
OU's career services is pretty crappy outside of energy firms.

My company is always looking for people. www.rincon.com If your interested pm me, if I recommend you that will likely at least get you an interview.

Forewarned, you must be a US citizen and will be subject to a fairly intensive background check.

correcting my grammar

are you looking at any grad schools? My friend Paul Constantine is finishing up his ph.d at Stanford and he's already got a fellowship lined up for after he finishes.

Private crypto work usually is for either the super-geniuses or the recently retired (20-35 years goverenment). Not always, but gov is never a bad option for a start or a career.

If anyone is interested in working for a strategy and technology consulting firm, PM me and I'll give you my email. Then you send the resume, I refer you, and you'll get a follow-up email from them to register. We are agressively hiring. Make your resumes speak to the type of work this firm does. Hint hint, read the website. Don't apply online, apply through me. Referrals are a majority of our hires.

Another one:

All applications have to go through the website, but PM with your real name so I know to look for it.

I do not know any of your backgrounds but for any of you that are or were in the military, DoE, State, etc. and had a Security Cleaance try http://www.clearancejobs.com/ Your clearance does not have to be current to be hired but it helps for the TS/SCI and polygraph jobs.
It is one of the easiest jobs sites I have used AND I was hired twice by using this web site, so it does work well!

Good Luck!

Cheers,
Lone

Here's a niche: PowerBuilder developers. I think we're still looking for one or two of those. SQL Server experience a great big plus.

Is that position in Pittsburgh? I have a PowerBuilder-specializing friend who's looking for a job here in NYC.

I'm looking for a Juniorish level IT Manager/Desktop support wear all hats kinda guy down here at the Mobile Games company in Cary, NC. (Oasys Mobile)

It probably wont pay that much but it should be at the least entertaining.. you get to see me twice a month so that's either a bonus or a negative depending on your point of view.

Need a reasonable experience level with both Linux and Windows Servers, as well as some Database (SQL) knowledge

Oh and you have to support ~25 whiny Developers, Artists, Porters, and Management types who run both Mac's and PC's.

You'll likely have no real boss so you need to be a self starter as well... and you should love videogames.

email me a resume or something.

Yes, I suppose I should have specified, and they'd have to relocate to Pittsburgh. I didn't think anyone would respond. (I didn't think anyone still used PowerBuilder.)

My company is still hiring in the Seattle area. We're looking for sales, software engineers (emphasis on XML, java, .NET and SQL), a UI designer and a Web and Interactive (Flash) developer. Health care industry experience preferred. PM me for more info.

If I didn't love my current job so much, I'd be sorely tempted, because I've got all of that, except for sales.

Just to be clear, those are 4 separate positions.

You could just pay me for 3 of them, then.

Do you love it enough to not be interested in something here in Austin, either?

In an email, my boss wrote:

We are going to start actively recruiting for another person to join our team. I am still tweaking the role for this new person, but you can think that it will be someone that can bring a range of skills to the table. So as we are doing recruiting, expect to see folks that have backgrounds in a wide variety of related skills (HTML, CSS, XML, Python, C#, Java, graphic design, user experience, PHP, social media technologies, OpenSource CMS’s, etc…). Reach out into your networks to find good people, please!
