It's a day one buy for me if it's on steam, if it's through any other distribution method I'll probably hold off for a price drop.

In the forums they said it'll be on steam in sept.

That's the best news I've heard all week!

Hmm on the other hand that means waiting for September for me

Yeah the link to the info is here. I preordered cause I just can't wait till sept. Sucks they only give you 21 days to download it though.

I preordered as well...hope to see some league action as soon as possible!

Wow, they really know how to sell a pre-order. No discount, no bonus, and limited download? As much as i want this game, i'm waiting for it to show up on Steam. I don't want to download it and burn my own copy, thanks!

EDIT: It says you can email to arrange for additional downloads after 21 days, but that's one email too much, and suppose they change their mind? Much rather trust Steam.

Well just saw a post from Jessica that says the 1st few people to preorder will get a link and an activation key. So it looks like some might be able to play a day or two early.

I just got my download and activation code. I'll be downloading and looking for some action later tonight or tomorrow.

I'm installing now! Sadly I'll be hanging out with wife and friends to watch "So you think you can dance..."

Got it fired up and running, and tried out a game versus the (almost competent) AI. I'll be around in the late evening (11pm EST+) the rest of this week or weekend for any goodjer action.

bah, I WANT to get this, but I also WANT it on steam...

what's it cost in $US? I have to work out exchange rates and what my impulse buy threshold is.

Downloaded and installed. I know my machine is pushing the minimum requirements but good lord it takes forever for the game and matches to load. Didn't take remotely this long in the beta! Everything is fine once I'm playing, just has crazy long load times for me.

Same for me. Takes forever for everything to load up. My problem is I can't decide which race to play. Also the turn timer in single player mode bugs me.

Reviews, people! I've decided to wait til it shows up on Steam, so I need to live vicariously.

I can tell you from what I played in Beta that it's very, very good and faithful to the boardgame. Haven't tried the real-time part (but who gives a damn)

I can't bloody wait but I will not pay 50$ for a game I can download ONCE (21 days means you can't download it again). They may have changed that policy but that's bollocks, I will not put up with that crap when I can wait for it to show up on STEAM.

I plan on buying at least 3 versions of that game (360, PC, PSP and possibly even DS) so I will not buy it twice for PC.

Yeah, I'm going to strongly consider the 360 or PS3 version and PSP as well.

As for the turn timer in single player, the rules for the table top game limits you to four minutes per turn. It's just part of the rules

I'm hoping they add in the ability to create a private league with a mix of AI and human teams. I really just want to play through a league with my buddy but we don't know enough people that own the game, nor does it really seem feasible to play through a full league with people living in different time zones, etc. I just want the two of us and a bunch of AI players in a league.

Really that's all I ever want from a sport game online and no developers seem to understand that. I'll be so happy if they add that in to Blood Bowl, though.

It's an even $50 US.

If anyone is interested in a game I'll be sitting in GWJ vent tonight after 11pm EST as Isoalpha...look for me in the boardgames channel.

Oh man, tempted to buy right now, but I would prefer Steam so much I think I'll hold off. Also, this could work very well on the DS/PSP, and why not the 360, as well. I think I need to wait for the other versions and reviews to decide which one I need the most.

A GWJ league would be pretty awesome.

I have to think about getting this game.

You can be sure it will happen!

... when it comes out on STEAM

Hopefully sooner than that, if we can get a couple more goodjers to buy the game.

I just bought it so I will be in for it after a day or two of playing single player. When it does come out on steam though I am sure the people who already own it will be able to add it to their steam account.

bloodbowl podcast, not mine

I've started up a 12-person league (mainly going to be filled with Boardgamegeek folks). If anyone here is interested in joining, shoot me a PM and I'll forward you the league info.

I'll be interested but right now I'm checking out the campaign a bit. I haven't played in a long time so I'm getting use to the different teams, mainly by playing them in campaign mode. Also the skills too.

Are they even coming out with a physical version to be sold in B&M stores for the PC?

I bet you want a parchment instruction scroll too, don't you?

I'm just a fan of having a physical copy of games I buy. Also, I'm one of those people who generally reads through the instruction book before playing / while installing. Not that I'd need to learn the rules for this, as I've played tabletop, just need a refresher.

I've only bought 2 digital copies of games before, Portal because I played it at a friends house almost to the end and I wanted to finish it, and Bioshock, because I was gonna get it sometime anyways and Steam had a sale on one weekend.

Same here, but it will probably take a bit to get the league formed up anyway. Send me a PM if you want the info.

The game should be released in stores in September, but the digital copy comes with copious amounts of documentation (and you can always burn your own disc, you download the full installer for the game).

Accepted your application!

So far we've got 3 Skaven teams and a your Gobbos. I'll probably switch to Lizardmen or Dwarves to mix things up a bit depending on how the rest of the league shapes up.
