Plants Vs. Zombies Catch-All

Played through the demo. It is super cute, and fun, but I think I got about all the fun I will get out of it. Although, if I need a something to kill some time, I may throw $10 at it. I wish I could play games at work. This would be the perfect game to have going when i'm on a call that I don't need to pay too much attention to.

The minigames available in the demo are minimal (3 maybe?). The minigames are my favorite part of the game.

I finally beat adventure mode and wow, there's a lot more game here.

Adventure mode is just a mildly-entertaining (and sometimes annoying) intro you have to go through before you can play survival mode.

Yeah I'm working my way through survival mode - at night fog right now - and it's a much more compelling experience because there is actually a challenge, which makes all the difference.

I finished up this morning and continue to be amazed at this "little" title. Wow! So much fun to be had here. I won't get into the spoilers just yet, but the new modes unlocked after the adventure mode seem like they could be considered an expansion pack... and the end credits alone are worth beating the game.

I don't think it was wise to hold off so much of the content until after the adventure mode. There were points when I was a bit ready to call it a day with the adventure, as most of the time there just wasn't any challenge. The minigames are much more challenging and much more interesting. Playing the game on a second system, I had to muster the courage to go through adventure again to unlock the minigames (and puzzles and survival and zen garden...), which is what I actually wanted to do.

I have to agree with that. I actually enjoyed Adventure mode but when the first few minigames unlocked I felt like playing them for a break. It would have been better if a few new modes were unlocked every 10 levels or so rather than unlocking almost all of the content at the end.

I caved in after I saw the Zombie Bobsleigh Team

This might be one of the stages that is really challenging, unlike the adventure mode. I beat it, but was completely out of lawnmowers at the end.

I think it's the only stage that's challenging. It's the only one I ever failed.

This is one of the best 10$ I've ever spent.
I've been enjoying this title a lot lately and am now close to getting my golden trophy !
Hats off to Popcap for this one.

Caved in as in, it made me buy the game.

From now on, any game that has a Zombie Bobsleigh Team, I will buy

P v Z stole about three hours from me last night (midnight to 3 am). And I loved every minute of it. I am in the mini-games, puzzles and zen garden. Still having fun.

So I was looking at my Steam stats, because I wondered how much TF2 I'd been playing in relation to the unlocks I've gotten.

I have played forty-seven hours of Plants Vs. Zombies. Forty-seven.

I'm ashamed. But I'm not going to stop.

Dear lord.

44.6 hrs here. Some of that was surely leaving up the Zen Garden during the day so my snail could collect coins though.

How do you keep yours awake? My lazy f*cker keeps sleeping on me.

Side note anyone else planted the world tree yet? One of the tips about the future zombies is awesome.

Chocolate keeps the snail awake. After you buy the snail, you'll get occasional chocolate drops from zombies when you kill them.

Ahh I had been feeding those to the plants on random.

Didn't notice your snail dreaming about chocolate every time you picked it up?

Also, mustaches!

This game has eaten my brain and stolen all my free time. TF2 used to be my top Steam game, but according to my recent stats PV.Z beats it by a factor of 20!! It is the electronic equivalent of eating a Lays potato chip (betcha can't eat just one!) as a "quick" session can last over 2 hours without notice.

Popcap you have really done it this time.

Even better, you can enable mustache mode and future mode simultaneously.

I have over sixty hours... but some of that is because I leave it running overnight with my snail hopped up on the cocoa bean so he can farm me some sweet moolah.

There has got to be a law against caffeinated snail gold farming somewhere.

Sadly I don't have a snail yet. Guess I have to kill more zombies.

The snail is only worth it when you've got your main zen garden more than half full, I'd say. And you'll want a record player too, because the snail's useless without happy flowers. Arguably you can make do with only spray bottles instead, just keep in mind that they're each 5 uses only.

Can you make a flower happy with bug spray if they're dreaming about record players? I thought you had to give them what they want to make them give up the goods.

No, that doesn't work. But in my experience, about half the flowers want one, half want the other.

Anyone got any strategies for Vasebreaker Endless? I can't seem to get past four.

Hit the green ones first!

I found the vasebreaker levels quite easy. Seems to work best if you start with vases on the right. Don't go too fast but at the same time don't waste cards by placing them too quickly before you know what's going to come out of that row.
