Buffy Finale - OMG TROGDOR - yes *SPOILERS*

Okay, besides an excellent finale, did anyone else die when they mentioned Trogdor? Jesus christ, I almost keeled over right there.

But this episode reminds me why I watch Buffy. I wish Joss had been writing all season long. So so good. Dawn kicks Buffy, Spike's punching bag, Angel and the cookie dough, Willow's hair, Anya, and the little speech in the hallway between the original gang. All too excellent for words.

Whatd you think?

First off, it was an absolute shame, shame I tell you, that this finale was not 2 hours long! What the hell? The only thing I can think of is that Joss has plans for a movie. Oh please god let there be a movie!

I too wish that Joss had been more involved in episodes this season. The series could have used it. I will point out that the writers jobs were not made easier when there was talk of going yet one more season. I found once the decision was finally made to end the series the episodes did start to get better. However they never came close to the quality of this last one.

I unfortunatly, or fortunatly depending on how you look at it, did not see this episode live. I taped it and watched it with Certis and Hoochie. We all lost it when Andrew brought up Trogdor. So much so I had to rewind it and watch it again before we could go on.

Now if you will excuse me I have I think I have something in my eye.

I pine for you Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

YES! We were watching a taped version and had to rewind, we couldn''t believe we''d just heard that. Especially out of Andrew''s mouth, how perfect was that?

All in all, great. Except it should have been two hours long, then we could have had more character time AND more fight time, all crafted with care by Joss instead of the brain dead legions he had hacking the show out for the last few months.

Talk about your open-ended finale...I smell movie. At some point. I hope.

Yup definitely great stuff. Just finished watching it PST

Humor me but I thought I would get first post on Trogdor. Silly me

So Buffy, what do we do now?

You know... mortal wounds can be really tricky

The above post was by me not a_lonely_hat

I needed to relog in to the forums

It was a pretty good episode, though it left a lot of things unanswered.

I also had a problem with the fact that 1 slayer + 10 potentials + uberwitch got rocked by ONE ubervamp for several episodes. Yet here they fight thousands and butcher them like they are nothing. Even Anya and Andrew for christs sakes. Pretty silly if you ask me.

Above post is mine... apparantly the forums have gone all wacky cause they logged me in as this Dramatic Marlin fellow.

I liked it.

Well at that point Buffy hadn''t slept in days, the potentials were untrained and untested and Willow was too afraid to use her power, but I do agree the the ubervamps weren''t nearly as fearsome as they were made out to be. Oh well.

lalalala I''m not listening!

Four weeks behind here in the UK, so,so sad to see Buffy go but at least it hasn''t outstayed it''s welcome.

on a slightky related topic sci-fi channel here in the UK has just started showing Firefly and I have to say, how come shows like the truly risible Enterprise get picked up no problem and good shows like Firefly get cancelled? THERE IS NO JUSTICE!

I must admit that I don''t like Buffy, but they mentioned TROGDOR?! OMFG that''s so awesome. ""Trogdor he comes in the NIIIIIIIGHT!""

To answer your question, kegboy, Firefly getting cancelled just proves what a festering sh*t-sucking jerry springer loving hellhole this world really is.

Than you must not have seen enough of the shows Joss wrote and directed. Some of the best TV out there.

But see, the fact that one of his shows got cancelled proves that this world sucks. But then, the fact that his other shows didnt proves that its good. But then .....

Heh, s''okay, I don''t watch too much TV anyway. My favorite two shows right now are Dave Attell''s Insomniac and The Dead Zone.
