I saw X2

It's a great movie and a lot better than the first. Comic book fanboies will know what the 3rd movie will be.

HOWEVER, They didn't show one shot of Gamibt. You see his name on a computer screen but nothing more than that. I leave my fanboi rants about Gambit to the Newsarama boards.

I have this funny feeling that Gambit is going to be the one X-man that Singer teases us with for many movies to come.

Isn''t Gambit that french guy who throws playing cards at people? I never liked him much in the comics I did happen to read.

He''s Cajun.

N''Orleans bred.

Much bigger difference than French er um Freedom er...

Gambit rocks!

He doesn''t throw ''playing cards'', he charges things. He charges playing cards but can use other things. He also is a bad ass and witty. So much cooler than forkboy.

Is Juggernaut ever going to show up in the movies? He''s cool.

My fave Xmen is Cyclops.

Cyclops? That two dimensional mamas boy, only thing he had going for him was Jean, and look what happed there :p. Course it''s been 8 or so years since I stooped collecting comics (cold turkey man that was ruff), so maybe I''m out of the loop.

Oh, well, I like his powers. I think it''s a cool character.

BTW a new Hulk trailer. Man, it just doesn''t convince me.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/univer...

will someone explain why his shorts don''t rip when he turns green?

The Hulk is going to suck. THERE ARE NO HULK DOGS!

Managed to sneak off with the Wife and catch an early show of x2. It was really excellent. I liked it way better then the first one. It was a dark plot with a relatively curvy (for sci-fi) story . Great special effects, good villain''s. Most of the acting was not to painful, the good were good the not so good were minimized. I already am looking forward to the next one, definitly more of what super hero movies should be IMO

Just got back from X2. I loved it. Ulari''s right, Very subtle ending on what the 3rd movie is going to be about. I wondered how they''d tackle that storyline.

Liked seeing Beast (Dr. Hank McCoy) on TV, noticed Remy Lebau on the computer screen. I''d like to be able to freeze frame that shot and see who else''s name is on there as well.

The girl who screams in the mansion is Banshee''s daughter Siran, right?

I really liked X2 as well and am really excited about the next one, if all falls into place it should be fantastic!

I can easily see why you think this about Cyclops, at times I have as well. But for some reason I always kind of liked his character in the comics. I think it was becuase he was SO straight laced, and it was good reading seeing him react to pain and adversity, either with Jean or problems with Logan. Seeing him kick ass and ""not do the right thing"" was kind of cool.

So, I''m with Mex, I like him as the field leader of the X-men.

I wanna go see the moive again. The first 5 minutes were awesome. **BAMF**

Nightcrawler was freaking awesome. So cool. The first scene was worth admission, and then he was actually pretty good as a character. The accent was very cool for some reason

Also, Colossus was so damn cool, if only hed had a Russian accent. He needs more airtime.

I also lament the lack of Gambit, he was very cool.

The guy in the wheelchair, that his dad cut him up, he was in the cartoon right? I remember him. That scene creeped me out as soon as I realized who the guy in the wheelchair was, totally made the whole story for me, you just realize how demented Striker is.

******* slight spoilers ahead ********

Since I don''t know or remember the comics (that well): who''s Colossus? The strong guy that helped rescue the children while the mansion was being attacked?

What I liked better about X2 was that it had more action scenes. The first one basically only had two major battles (and the first one wasn''t that big). More fights wouldn''t have hurt in the prequel since we''re talking about a super heroes comic conversion here. As for X2 again: I was afraid they''d focus on the ''teeny drama'', but that didn''t take too much time. Stewart seemed to bit wasted in this one, half of the time Prof. X was only sitting there, staring and being used as tool through Jason. And yes, the first Nightcrawler scene was very well made.

Colossus was the guy who''s skin turned metal and helped the children in the mansion.

I''ve heard from a very reliable source that the actor who played Colossus is signed on for part 3.

This is very good news.

No it''s not. We need Gambit. No one cares about Colossus. GAMBIT.

I disagree, he didn''t have a Russian accent. We need the Russian accent! Hed better learn by #3.

Otherwise, yes, its good news.

I''m sure we''ll see Gambit soon enough, ""Mon Cheri"". They could really do a kick ass job with special effects on his powers.

There''s lots of little inacuracies in both movies so I''m not too concerned about the Russian accent on Colussus. While it would seem to be a no brainer to give him one, at least they made him an artist so I''ll give them a little slack for keeping me entertained so far. Especially seeing how cool he looked in his metal form.

Did any of you see Colussus in the first Xmen? I watched the first one again the night before X2 came out. He was in the courtyard for about 2 seconds drawing.

Guess he''s not that incredible

X2 was awesome.
I''ve decided to be a mutant when I grow up.

I''m gonna be either Iceman or Wolverine. Or, maybe someone who can fly!

Man, that would be cool...

Boy you know it seems like everyone could fly in the comic, yet nobody really in the movie. I recall both Rouge and Storm for sure and Jean eventually could though she might have already gone through that phoenix menopause thing.

Ulairi would have a hissy fit if Gambit didnt have a Louisianna accent.

Heh they''ll probably get Jean Claude Van Damme to play him.

I wouldnt want to be in the large blast radius of a Ulairi meltdown if that happens.

I am curious as to why Gambit''s not in these movies. Not enough movie to handle another strong main character? To difficult to handle the banter and give and take between Wolverine and Gambit and still have a movie plot?

I do find I like Wolverine a lot better without Gambit around. I never really liked Wolverine much. Its the whole being edgy part and then running around in a bright yellow leotard with big ears.

Gambit is edgy and he gets to wear a trench coat!

Finally caught the movie today, and I''m pretty darned impressed. I liked it much better than the first, and the first is one of the few superhero movies I like! Hope they make a sequel.

I would have more than a hissy fit.

You know saying that is a crime in 48 states. Jean Claude Van Damme would ruin any movie.

What they said before the first one is that Gambit would take away the ''shock and awe'' from Forkboy. I see their point. Gambit is the witty ant-hero, they are much more popular than talking utensils.

I was never a fan of the X-Men until Gambit showed up. I read some of my Brothers old comics and they didn''t click with me.

Gambit is edgy and he gets to wear a trench coat!

He gets a Bo staff and scores with chicks.

"Ulairi" wrote:

I''d pay real money to see Ulairi have a hissy fit.

I''ve never been much of a Gambit fan really. I just found him annoying. Maybe it''s because I first saw him during the ""every cool hero has a trenchcoat for a costume"" days of Marvel. That and, well, he bored me.
Nightcrawler however, kicks ass. I wish they would have given Colossus a russian accent though. I mean, it''s such an easy thing to get right, I don''t know why they wouldn''t do it.

I''ve always liked Nightcrawler too. This is why I like Gambit:

GAMBIT: A prize worth the winning! You may have lost the game, you and your furry partner, but, for you, at least there is a chance to claim something from the day! Champagne, candlelight. Magic time, chere.

CYCLOPS: Er . . . Gambit . . . maybe you should curb that romantic soul of yours.

JUBILEE: Yeah, the lady''s not interested, big G.

GAMBIT: No? Ah, Jubilee, how little you . . . .

ROGUE: NO! Keep your slimy paws off''a me, Gambit! You know Ah can''t make flesh-to-flesh contact with you without drainin'' all your powers anyway!

GAMBIT: Perhaps. But don'' nobody know how Gambit loves a challenge.

These quotes would be perfect for the next movie:

Phoenix: I think the more nervous you get, the more jokes you crack

Gambit: Shh . Ancient family secret

and

Gambit and Colossus have just barely been saved by Rogue and Storm after falling into a glacial pit.
Colossus: The lesson for today, Tovarisch? NEXT time your extremely WEIGHTY teammate is doing reconnaissance on an icy PRECIPICE... do NOT leap on his back and yell ""CHICKEN FIGHT.""

We get it Ulairi, you''re attracted to Gambit, we understand. No one is going to judge you here, tell us how you really feel

Ulairi''s attracted to a French-sounding guy that wields a big stick?
