Batman: Arkham Asylum Catch-All

I am really looking forward to this. I hope that someone finally gets Batman done right in video game format. The atmosphere looks great, and I really want to see what they do with some of the villians. The Giant Croc looks like a blast to fight.

I'm actually not a fan of Batman at all, but this game has me interested. From what I've read and seen so far, it looks like they took the typical stealth action template and found a way to do something new and fresh with it.

Batman for the gameboy was an awesome game, but in hindsight, it didn't have a lot to do with batman. Arkham has too much bloom but otherwise looks good.

Gameplay video with commentary. Looks like one can get a lot of mileage out of figuring out different ways to beat people up.

That looks really cool. Some of the awesome stuff I enjoyed about Assassin's Creed but with more freedom of choice.

But now with exploding bat guano.

This looks like a lot of fun. It's strange that none of the enemies ever seem to look up, though.

What they need is a special mode that suddenly turns the motif of the game into the old '60s TV show. With all the brawling, it's rife for a little *BAM!* and *POW!*

And a little Robin in a skimpy outfit? AustinLiz would be happy.

This game is looking better and better with each preview but I still have the right to remain skeptical that it will turn out well (being a Batman video game and all).

The latest preview spoke of the replay value, which is wonderful and I support, but at this point I'd be happy to take a mere 10-15 hours of AAA gameplay from this one if it means living up to the hype.

Extended version of the GDC trailer, including a couple more takedowns and a look at the enemy AI, specifically how they react to Batman picking them off one by one.

This game does seem to be coming together as I had hoped. When I read about the game last summer, I kept getting the idea it would have the same feel as Deus Ex. While the game is definitely not a RPG-like game, the stealth gameplay in the latest video reeks of the same type gameplay. It seems like the hench men are at least a bit smarter (except for the whole looking up thing!).

I was afraid that the game might be an overload of QTEs, a la Bourne Identity. But that certainly does not seem to be the case. It looks like a ton of stealthy fun. there should probably be some serious puzzle solving as well, as they will also be emphasizing Batman's detective skills.

These latest videos have it back near the top of my must have list.

This looks like a day one purchase right now. Any chances of a demo?

As soon as I finished Assassin's Creed a friend of mine said, "Now imagine if they'd made that as a Batman game."

It looks like someone heard him.

Batman vs. Bane trailer. Why am I having a horrible flashback to Batman & Robin?

Dang. I'd talked myself out of this game and now I'm going to have to put it back on my list.

Is Uma on this game? that Bane was crap (No disrespect to the guy who played him, then died) but this one looks faithfull to the Bane concept, as in, HUGE.

Well, this is certainly on my radar now.

Fixed for bat-accuracy.

Holy forum posts, Batman! We've been bat-fixed!

Call me excited!

Harley Quinn trailer up (and I think *someone's* been playing too much Vampire : Bloodlines)

This is not a bad thing

Is it just me, or in the last couple of videos has it sounded like the actors were phoning it in?

What happened to Harley Quinn? The cartoon version was goofy silly, but this one is whore dirty. Oh well, to fit the atmosphere of the game I suppose. It would have been nice to see her designed somewhere in between the old and the new.

I thought the same thing when I first saw Harley but also reached the same conclusion as you did (atmosphere of the game). I'm still drop dead excited about the gameplay though and anxiously await being screwed over by Gamefly when I have to wait weeks upon weeks to play it because they seem to only stock 10 copies of any given game anymore.

I think she really matches the Joker in the game. Dark and gritty. If they would have went wiht a more over the top cartoonie Joker, I would also want Harley to match him in that regard. I do hope we get to hear her say Mr. J once or twice though :).

I don't care much for the redesign, as it's kinda standard issue video game skank (schoolgirl skirt, thigh-highs, bustier), but let's not mince words--Harley ain't no nun.

'Swarm' game play. Looks good.

It's like watching the fight scenes from the current movies.

Looks okay - the thug's head went into the wall as Batman hit him. :/

I hope there's some variety and that it's not all brawling.
