Excellent. I am now imposing a media blackout so that I dont get sick of it before I see it. A big part of the first Matrix for me was seeing it before it became ""big"", I didnt know what the Matrix was, let alone how much it kicked ass. I want to try to get as much of that as I can from the second and third ones, and it looks like theres plenty to suprise me with.
Standing over a stained copy of an old Ronald McDonald ad, masturbating furiously screaming MY WAY!
Hmm. I''m a bit worried. The fight scene with neo and the thousand agent smiths looks too CG...
And when the agent falls on top of the car, in the highway, that looks ... well, not bad, but not up to ""Matrix"" standards. I mean, I could tell it was CG in the first viewing, on a tiny screen...
Mex, the problem is - when we first saw the Matrix - it had never been done before (not on such a constantly high level all the way through movie at least), today we have seen lots of FX rip-offs from Matrix, CG has entered even damn teen comedies. We are becoming more and more saturated with fantastic-visuals-stuff.
and come on, how coud one make agent Smith believably jumping from car to car, smashing them? i`m fine with the feeling that it is unbelievable (entering theatre I`ll simply block the parts of my brain responsible for ""geez, its ridiculous, it simply cant be"" thoughts).
I relatively recently watched Matrix at home and tell you what - ""Trinity crushing in building hanging from an helicopter"" scene isnt that realistic at all.
We`re simply becoming old...khm..khm...
Not to kirk out or anything, but can I just ask how many of you loved The Matrix because of it''s believability? I liked it because I got to exercise my suspension of disbelief gland for two hours. That whole scene when they pull the scorpionbug out of Keanu''s belly button? Yeah, there''s no way that was live action. The scorpionbug was overacting way too much to be a real actor. For me, I enjoyed The Matrix because every other scene allowed me to do my own Keanu ""WOAH!"" impersonation. It was just cool...exceedingly so. The trailer for Reloaded was the same way. You guys can keep arguing about how CG everything may or may not look. I''ll be the one pointing at the screen saying, ""WOAH!"".

Well, my point is that there''s a certain level you have to achieve so that the movie does not break the ""suspension of disbelief"", and those two scenes I mentioned are below such level.
I''m not sure about the whole Superman thing either, but we''ll see.
I recently saw the crashintowall part, and I still liked it quite a bit.
I also noticed something else - did The Oracle make an appearance in the video? Because I read months ago that the actress had died.
All the CG stuff is noticable to me but not below that level, Mex.
I have no problem with the Neo flying stuff. I think it looks much better than the scene at the end of the Matrix. On a whole I think Keanu has been practicing. He looks much more fluid/coordinated in the fights. He combines his moves better than the first movie.

Did some whacking of imdb and it looks like you''re right. Gloria Foster died Sept. 29, 2001. I did see her in the Reloaded trailer, though. Before I could remember who the Oracle was I thought you may have been referring to the role Aaliyah was slated to play. I''m guessing she has been replaced by Jada Pinkett Smith in the trailer. I''m sure I would have preferred Aaliyah, but it is an interesting substitution. Jada and Carrie-Anne seem very similar to each other to me.
It looks like it will be Matrix squared. More cool awesome stunts and effects.
As for reality, I never really get bothered by how realistic movies are or aren''t, just lucky that way I guess.
I just enjoy the story that the movie makers are trying to tell.
Sure just about every movie I watch has things that I would change or make different or even stuff I think is plain stupid.
Though, I still like hearing/watching the story and each one has its own little flaws just like each person does.
Those flaws become part of the movie, just like all the mistakes in Star Wars have their own character and to remove them would change the movie IMHO.
I have no problem with the Neo flying stuff. I think it looks much better than the scene at the end of the Matrix. On a whole I think Keanu has been practicing.
Sorry, couldnt resist, it simply looks too nice out of context

I was trying to keep myself from buying the hype with the new Matriz movies, but damn if the new trailer doesn''t look amazing. There was an article recently with an interview with the effects guys and they talked about how they were going to have to out-do themselves for the new films, since ""bullet-time"" wasn''t going to impress anymore. I''d say they did a pretty good job. Sure it will have the same silly plot and goofy story the first one did, but it looks good, and they''re fun movies. If you want completely believable, go watch a documentary.
Hmmm, I didnt think that Matrix had a silly plot. It might be not a Supa Grand Plot That Will Live For Centuries, but I didnt find it silly as well. I mean, how can one make silly plot, borrowing so much from various literal masterpieces?
Me either... I have never given a thought that matrix plot was silly and goofy story. I found the plot a bit philosophical with a good story to go with it. May be the visual representation might have it seem like it''s a goofy and silly, but I sure don''t think so...
Ahh! The Matrix brought me the same joy that I got when I first saw the Blade Runner...
Uhh... yeah.
That looks frickin'' fantastic!

My wife will get crazy when she`ll come back home from work and I`ll show her the trailer. We`re both such a Matrix junkies

This movie is gonna kick ass! Wow, what a great trailer. Can''t wait.

Um, the same way they made the ""Trinity crashing into building hanging from an helicopter"" scene believable?
Morpheus kicks ass on that jump in the trailer too, and trinity falling with her butt towards the camera.... well.. oh yeah.
Maybe they ran out of time

That scene is now replaced by Trinity back flipping off a motorcycle falling towards a building.
Cue building explosion and Trinity landing, striking a pose front and center. Perfect form.
Good Stuff!

They obviously filmed that part before she died.

Don''t get me wrong, I liked The Matrix too, but I never really thought of it as ground-breaking, story wise.
