Super And Not Super Street Fighter IV Catch all

Man, those bongos were fun. Well mine were, maybe because they were free.

Free with the game. Yeah. Well, that's how mine came. Actually it was an Xmas present from an ex-girlfriend. Then my roommate bought her a set so she could play, too. I got both sets when the end came. w00t!

Now if only there was more than one decent game to play with them.... or if my friends were comfortable enough with their own self image to use them for Jungle Beat... then everything would be right slightly better with the world.

If someone can mod the DK bongos for use in street fighter 4, I will give them ten...no wait, TWENTY dollars.

American or Canadian?

Incidentally, remember the octagon ring for the Genesis? It was "designed" with Eternal Champions "in mind" and allowed you to "play the game" with gestures instead of a controller.

That's one peripheral I did not have...

Yah, I got to try that out at a CES in Vegas one year....it was obvious just from the showroom floor that wasn't going anywhere.

You mean the Activator?

Haha... the kid with the controller just doesn't stand a chance!

Can I declare Epic Fail on 2 player only via XBL? I attempted to invite Demiurge to a game only to realize that the game only allows 2 in a multiplayer session, period.
Let me create a lobby we can rotate through, or at the very least allow the Arcade Fight Request system to be set for friends only.
Guess that is what I get for not reading the box before purchase.

In case you're wondering, Nim is the dog biting the nose off of the other one in the picture.

There's hope that this may come with the update that is also introducing Tournament play. Unless if that was the pre-release update.

Huh, that's how the conversation progressed as me and nimcosi fought tonight.

It should be noted that I once again missed your invite. Sorry, dude.

That's ok Demi. I can smell your fear. Mmmmm fear.

Looks like I get to go another day without this. If DOW2 hadn't unlocked on steam today I'd of had to do something drastic.

I need this game so bad.

So bad

EDIT: I'm anxious to put Nimcosi in his place now. Remember how the HDRemix fights went.

Seth: Hate him. Why's he gotta pretend to be such a push over? Why's he gotta grab me outta the air and throw me? Why's he gotta teleport all over the place and all of a sudden end up behind me ready to go all nannerpuss on me?

Whatever. I beat om. Yeah Seth! You're my gateway to terrible anime! (Watching the ending video for Ken, I felt as if Seth really had won.)

Ok, so how does this stack up for people who have not played the fighting game genre in a long time?

I am to competitive to loose all the time. So I would rather not play if i have no shot to button mash my way to at least 1 out of 20 wins.

Atomic is right, it's a pretty varied field. At first I had my settings arranged for connection speed as my priority. I fought a fun, competitive match last night and won. Then fought a fun competitve match and lost. Then fought someone who was Akuma and he destroyed me. Then another fun one where I won. I'm not very good at SF and I'm definitely prone to panic, but I still notched some wins (not like Soul Calibur 4!).Definitely worth checking out. If you're on the fence and have the money to purchase, I say take the plunge.

Yeah, if someone has Akuma or Goken, watch out. They had to jump through many hoops to get them, and are likely more than skilled enough to use them.

I think its fairly competitive for those that haven't played in a long time -- a lot of people are returning to this series after a decade or more. And some people are the hardcore faithful. Its a fairly diverse group, and it shows in online matches. Some people will trounce you, some you will trounce. Luckily you can set the matching parameters to the same skill level. If you're really that unsure, try renting it first (yeah, I know, obvious).

Yeah.... sucker didn't get a Perfect, though, haHA!

It's not THAT many hoops. I unlocked all the characters in about three hours on Tuesday, and I am nowhere near skilled enough to use either of those characters.

I'm going to start learning Akuma soon, though. I want to play with a charge character for a bit first.

I can't beat Seth on EASIEST with C. Viper. She's so weak, holy balls.

How did you unlock fighters, Counselor?

EDIT: I wish I could set the "New Challenger" to only allow friends. Is that something I'm missing?

Actually, I had more trouble on Easiest than I did on Medium. Maybe it had just gotten too late for me.

Yeah, Seth is more of a challenge to "get". Besides, I bet within a month there will be a $5 DLC "pack" that unlocks all the characters and you won't be able to tell. Much to the blinding rage of the guy who sat in his own filth all night of launch day unlocking Doctor Manhattan, er, I mean Seth.

I've unlocked Gouken and Akuma; it's not hard, just complicated.

EDIT:

Posted as the full info was posted above.

Awe, 1Dgaf, I liked your version better. Tips from a friend feels much less like cheating... I'm struggling not to click the link.

Go ahead... Click the link.... All yer friends are doin' it!

Telling you how to unlock characters isn't cheating. Even using cheat codes to unlock characters isn't cheating. Click the link.

Hey now, when I came to this morning I was snorting blow off a dead hooker's chest. I think I'll try and keep the rest of the day morally clean, thank you very much.

*Guys, I know what you're thinking. Don't worry, she'd been dead for most of the week.

EDIT: I love that when you unlock a color it unlocks that color across all of the characters. I was expecting to have to do it for each fighter individually.
