Steam Weekend Deal: 50% Off Ghost Recon Complete Pack

This weekend only, save 50% off the Ghost Recon Complete Pack, which includes all five Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon games. These titles are now also available to customers worldwide.

Edit: Holy crap I'm now an executive! :)

That's incredible. GR was one of the best tac shooters I've ever played.

I read this thread for the first time in a while, I spent money.

Might as well just stick a damn Paypal button on the thread and save some clicks.

Nevermind... nothing to see here...

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (PS2) is a pretty popular Atlus title that's been reprinted.

Currently it is Amazon's Deal of the Day, for $30

Damn you! DAMN DAMN DAMN YOU.

Thanks to all of you for attaching another vacuum cleaner hose to my wallet. I didn't need that money anyway...

On the bright side, I have the whole Medieval: Total War games collection now. I lost the original and never got the add-ons, but that is now officially a thing of the past.

If I recall right, the campaigns for GR:AW and GR:AW2 were different from their console counterparts, right?

That's correct.

They're also in first person perspective, and much less forgiving than the console versions. The friendly AI is {ableist slur}, but you are given a super detailed tactical map with which to give orders and set waypoints for individual members of your squad so it mostly balances out. I only have played the first GRAW on PC, and I found it to be a good time with a few frustrating exceptions.

Rome: Total War Is on it's way to the Mac. Yay!

For any who don't have it, Half-Life 2 (PC) is for sale at Go Gamer for $7.90.

DLing now. Can't beat four bucks a game.

A store called Zavvi is closing down in the UK. At the weekend I went in and looked at their 'discount prices' on games. They had GTA 4 with a 25% discount from their full price of £45 (all the other games had similar laughably high starting prices.) I can get GTA 4 for £17.99 without even trying (Play.com ;)) on the net. The retail trade is another world in terms of prices.

Toys R Us has Xbox live 13 month subscription cards for $30

Edit: Out of stock for now...

buy.com is selling JUST CAUSE for the 360 for $9.99 with free shipping.

Reviews on Metacritic seem pretty mixed. Thoughts?

Loved it... If you wanna play somthing that lets you just run around, do crazy stunts and blow stuff up under the guise of missions it's great! Besides how often do you get a chance to jump out of a plane, pull a parachute long enough to slow down to aim for a boat, hijack that, pull chute again and fly up high enough to hijack a helicopter, etc...

Just Cause it's plain (plane?) fun!

another deal from Amazon:

Amazon has Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost And The Damned downloadable content expansion pack card for Xbox 360 + 3-month Xbox Live card for $20 with free shipping. Thanks zewone

Note, there are conflicting reports as to what form expansion pack comes as. Some report that this may be a rebadged 1,600-point card which may be used for any Xbox Live transaction, and some that it's a special code which may be used only for this specific content. The addon requires the original game disk to play, and will be released on February 17.

That Amazon deal would've been tempting for the Lost and the Damned + 3 month live on its own, but the free shipping makes this near irresistable.

When you add both the L&tD and the 3month card to your cart, it will still say along the top of the screen 'add 5.01 to your order to qualify for super saver shipping', BUT once you go to checkout where you actually choose your shipping options, it must be taking the combined Pre-promotion value of the two items because free super saving shipping was a selectable option without any additional filler.

Just like Sommermatt mentioned, 19.99 total. Sweet deal. Hot damn! It will arrive a bit late, but the price is too good to ignore.

Street Fighter IV at Buy.com for 53.99 (free ship).

Here's the link: http://www.techbargains.com/news_dis...

Buy.com claims that it ships on the 17th (I believe that the official release date is the 19th). I'm eagerly anticipating the game, so I placed an order even though I already have it reserved at a nearby shop.

Oh, I'm new here -- hi everyone!

Not sure if this applicable for people in the US, but Blockbuster has a rather sweet deal going on right now. Trade in 4 360 or PS3 games and get a brand new one for free. I traded in RB6:V, Viking, Condemned, and another game whose name escapes me now (nothing current), and got FEAR 2 for free. I asked if this deal applies to pre-order games and the lady at the sales counter seemed to think so. Tonight, I'm going to take another 4 in and see if I can get Halo Wars for free when it lands.

If you don't want to trade 4 in for a game, all trade in games have a minimum trade in credit of $10.

Not sure if any of you guys are keeping track of the Circuit City liquidation, but it looks like all games and accessories are 40% off now. I just picked up Fallout 3 for $36, and I also picked up two 1600 point cards for $12 each. Not sure when I'll play Fallout 3 since I already have a pretty brutal stack after Christmas, but oh well...

Oh yeah, this was at a Circuit City in Denver if you're curious. Alright, I'm late to a meeting now but I felt the need to distribute this knowledge to other GWJers.

Steam Weekend Deal: 50% off Left 4 Dead

This Friday the 13th brings us a little closer to the zombie apocalypse. Whether or not you're superstitious, Left 4 Dead is 50% off this weekend only. So grab a shotgun and make a run for the next safe room.

It's the zombie apocalypse. Bring friends.

I guess I'll have to buy it now.

Me: Yessssss! My wallet: Nooooooo!

Buy it, you cheapskates.

DO IT

The folks over on the Giant Bombcast were saying that the Circuit City machines that activate these cards have been turned off in some places, so you probably want to make sure that the store you're buying from can activate them before actually handing over your money.

I got a G-15 keyboard tonight from Circuit City. The 40% markdown brought it to $67.79 pre-tax which with our 6.5% sales tax still keeps it below the lowest price I could find from pricegrabber.com.

if anyone is interested in Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero World Tour, Hmv in canada has it for 50% off the bundles.

I picked up Guitar Hero World Tour for 99 bucks because they were out of Rock Band 2 but I couldn't resist.
