Your dose of bull excrement for today

Let me add a big to this article. I'll believe it when I see it.

My biggest concern is what about those of us who don't want (or don't have) a connection to the internet. It's freakin' ridiculous.

Isn''t the author the guy behind ""Opening The Xbox"", btw?

So it''s going to tap unused processing on other people''s machines? I''d really rather not have someone else using up my bandwidth so they can run something.

So it''s going to tap unused processing on other people''s machines?

Reminds me of the Hyperion books.

I''m pretty sure you if you aren''t online, your PS3 can tap into the unused processing power around your house. Your couch usually has a few cycles. Your refrigerator is good for a few as long as it''s not an Energy Saver model. If you''ve got a GBA lying around, it can harness that. I can just picture little circuit-board-green tendrils inching their way across the carpet hungrily seeking sources of processing power. Where do I pre-order again?

Remember when the PS2 was about to be released, and how we were told the boot-up sequence was going to be ""revolutionary?""

I can see it now. PS3''s all over the world network together forming a huge super computer. A virus is introduced into the network and forms into sustainable Artificial Intelligence. Efforts are made to wipe out the virus but a portion of it remains intact, hidden in the deep recesses of the network. It quickly grows and learns as new games are made and players play. Than the unthinkable happens! BUM, BUM, BAAAAA!

While witnessing a multiplayer Army sim online, the AI comes to the conclusion that human beings are destructive in nature and must be elliminated, if the world and it''s very exisistance is to survive. It quickly siphons money from different financial institutions and buys a fully mechanized unused car manufacturing plant in a tiny 3rd world country. It begins to build itself an army of mechanized Robots who in turn build more, and a massive army is created.

Than on a preditermined date the AI now called SonPlay, gains control of automated weapons systems in all 1st world countries launching multiple attacks on key army installations, effectively crippling any resistance it would come up against with its army of mechanized soldiers!

Will the human race survive? We will ever learn? Only time will tell.

Fin!

I think I''ve seen this before... Yeah, I have!
