GoGamer.com has a pretty nice 48-hour sale right now.

If anyone has kids remotely interested in spiderman I recommend Spiderman: Friend or Foe for the PC. I bought it for $2.90 for my 6 y.o. for Christmas and both kids have had alot of fun with it in co-op story mode using Xbox controllers.

Thanks for suggestion. Haven't heard anything about the game. Oldest is 3, though, so prob still well over his head.

Also, as far as deals ago, not sure if it's a sale but was surprised to see Mass Effect (PC) for $20 at Best Buy. That certainly feels well worth buying it.

I think it's $20 across platforms now. But if you're a 360 gamer, definitely wait until February 10 for this:

Basically, a $20 two-disc version that includes the "Bring Down The Sky" DLC and some extras that I think are lifted from the limited edition. Of course if you have the ability to play Mass Effect and haven't already bought it, I'm a little stunned.

Good news indeed. I almost bought the game recently, as it has dropped down to far in price (hello, my magic target # of $20...), but if this article is true I will gladly wait another few weeks for this far superior version.

Damn it... I was just about to pick this up for the PC, as I've heard the combat is much more satisfying with mouse control. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

More than that, I understand that the menu system was revamped and streamlined for the PC version. One of the game's only flaws (in my book) is that you get to a point where you start accumulating a lot of junk gear to shuffle around. Now, I loved this game on the console enough to play it five times through (doing almost every sidequest each time), so obviously I don't think it's a showstopper; but all other things being equal, the PC version seems to be the "preferred" version. (If it's a bigscreen TV versus a small monitor, though, you've got a tough choice to make!)

I'm a little upset I paid 15 bucks for Mass Effect just last week when the awesome two disc-er is coming out for only 20. But oh well, thems the breaks.

Well, it looks like Crayon Physics Deluxe will have to wait until March. This is my February game now.

Just got an email from GameCrazy:
"STARTING MONDAY
GET A FREE 3 MONTH LIVE CARD ($19.99 VALUE) W/ PURCHASE OF GEARS OF WAR 2!

Offer Valid 1/26 to 2/1. Not valid with any other offers, see store for offer. Valid with purchase of new copy only."

If Steam keeps this up, I'm going to be spending $30 a month on weekend deal games. I picked up Soulstorm too. $15 so far.

If I'm not mistaken, 3 months of live should only cost $12...

Yes, but not retail. Retail they try and stick you with $20 for 3 months.

THis is Amazon's music model, and it really seems to work well for all involved. And damn, I love me some Paradox.

Gamestop 20% off used Xbox 360 games (limit 3) coupon, expires 1/29/09:

The 80 GB PS3 is the Amazon games Deal of the Day..50 dollars off.

Sales must be bad <,<

Pretty good deal if you're in the market, though.

On www.cheapassgamer.com, I read that you can order Killzone 2 from Amazon with this coupon: KZ2SAVE5 and get it for 51.99 shipped (Orders 25+ are eligible for their free shipping option.) Their price was already discounted to 56.99 before the 5 dollar coupon.

Though my disgust for Sony mgmt knows no end (<= I had to work that in here), this seems like a good deal if you were looking to order it.

One warning though, Amazon can be a bit slow shipping a new release. If you were hoping to have it on day 1, this is not the deal for you.

New Steam weekend deal is up - 30% off GTA 4 (and all rockstar games)!
That might just finally push me over the edge to grab the PC version, especially now it sounds like most of the problems have been ironed out in patches.

Bestbuy has Xbox Live 13 month subscription cards for $29.99 this week.

They also have the 360 version of Battlefield Bad Company for $20.

BF:BC is a really fun game. I've been interested in starting to play it again, too, so I encourage a bunch of you to pick it up!

Impulse just launched another batch of Weekend Impulse Buys.....some good deals to be found. Notably Titan Quest and DOW: Dark Crusade for $3.99 each.

Have a look!

http://impulsedriven.com/

Does anyone know if I buy DOW: Dark Crusade from Impulse, will it work with my retail copy of DOW Gold?

It should. If I recall correct, all you do is enter the CD keys for the prior DoW games during the Dark Crusade installation process.

Wow, nice. Looks like I'll be making some more Impulse buys this weekend... literally and figuratively

Amazon's Games Deal of the Day is Samba de Amigo for Wii, $9.99. I figure it'll be fun for when younger family members come over, or if I get a new lady pal. Plus, I spent 12 dollars on lunch Tuesday. That's how I justify these buys.

Anyway, it might be a good buy for you parent-types out there with your Wiimachines.

What, you're too "manly" to play this game by yourself?

I had SdA for the Dreamcast, but onfortunately never had could find the maracas controllers. Ah well. It's gotta be worth it for 10 bucks.

Eh, a party game is a party game. I very rarely bust out Rock Band by myself, and this is pretty much the same deal.

It's weird, I actually have a more solitary experience with my Wii than my 360. I guess it's the lack of friends online bugging me to play Horde mode and sh*t all the time.

Gogamer.com has Medieval 2:Total War and its expansion Kingdoms for 5.90 each as part of this week's Madness Deal.
I guess as fall-out from Mount & Blade I found those prices hard to resist.

Steam Weekend Deal: 50% Off Ghost Recon Complete Pack

This weekend only, save 50% off the Ghost Recon Complete Pack, which includes all five Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon games. These titles are now also available to customers worldwide.

Edit: Holy crap I'm now an executive!
