Favourite TV Shows

What are some of your favourite TV shows?

Mine are:

Undergrads, Simpsons, South Park, 24, Farscape, CSI, and Frasier.

Simpsons should just be one of those assumed things in this thread.
Other then that, I generally watch Buffy, Angel, West Wing, and Law & Order. I also try to catch Mail Call and Conquest on the History Channel.

In no particular order of preference:

Simpsons
Farscape
Buffy
CSI
Family Guy

In rough order of airing

Boston Public
JAG
24
The Osbournes
Enterprise (grudgingly)
CSI
Without a Trace
Farscape
John Doe
The Simpsons
Alias

Simpsons, Southpark, Pizza, Life Support, Skithouse (aussie shows, but pretty funny) though I don''t really watch that much tv.
West Wing
Simpsons (occasionally)
Malcolm in the Middle
That 70''s Show (occasionally)
* ahem * Survivor
and anything on PBS can be deadly - draws you in[/list:u:fbda6d0750]

No cable... using rabbit ears.

Family Guy, Futurama and The Tick. Surprisingly, all I see lately in Latin Fox channel are reruns...

Buffy
Farscape (up until Scorpious lost command)
Firefly
Futurama
Stargate SG-1
Law and Order

Of all time?
Cowboy Bebop

others I like but are now completed
ST:TNG
Batman Beyond (listening to soundtrack right now and original Batman Animated Series (Paul Dini)

hmm cant think of anything else off the top of my head

The Tick! I assume you''re talking about the animated series... I loved it! Does anyone show reruns? Not that I''d be able to watch (like I said above, no cable), I am just curious. A dvd release would be nifty.

""I don''t know the meaning of the word surrender! I mean, I know it, I''m not dumb...just not in this context.""

Way to open this can of worms, Gaald is going to crash the forums with the list of shows he watches..

As for me:

Buffy, Angel and Firefly (*sniff*) are pretty much all I make an effort to sit down and watch. The simpsons too, though I don''t feel too bad if I miss them.

I absolutely love Mail Call and Conquest on the History Channel.
I also enjoy OZ on HBO. The final episode aired this past Sunday.

Currently on air:

Buffy and Angel, thats about it.

Of all time (go top 5):

Babylon 5
Buffy
Angel
The Lone Gunmen
The Family Guy

Simpsons gets no nod because of how unbelievably awful the past 5 or so seasons have been.

Space: 1999 and Battlestar Galactica. Don''t even try to argue with me. Martin Landau and Lorne Greene in space=l33t...

edit-thanks kegboy, I forgot Lorne

Space: 1999

Now there was a good show!

Simpsons is still the only show I actually put effort into tuning into. But I also enjoy the following:
Yes, Dear
Coupling (BBC America)
Good Eats (Food Network)
And I''m watching a lot of college basketball and/or Wizards basketball.

BTW, can you imagine anything funnier than wizards playing basketball? Pick your brand of wizards, but I think Terry Pratchett''s wizards might be the most entertaining.

I like the simpsons, but don''t go out of my way to watch it.

I don''t watch TV all that often, and when I do, I tend to throw the History channel or Discovery on.

Or, TechTV when Anime Unleashed is playing ^_^

Oh I have some to share, in no particular order:
The Batman Animated Series
Insomniac with Dave Attell
Red Dwarf
The Dave Chapelle Show (it''s already a classic IMO)
The Fairly Odd Parents (one of the funniest damned cartoons in ages)
The Tick
Freakazoid
That 70''s Show
Black''s Books
Battlestar Galactica
Just about anything the History Channel creates, but I''m partial to Mail Call and Military Blunders
[/list:u:a7143a08ec]

Ah, man, I forgot all about Chapelle''s Show. Nothing like having a blind white supremacist who is black to launch a show.

OMFG I nearly peed myself watching that skit, that was a CLASSIC. I''ve been a Chappelle fan for YEARS, so I''m so glad to see a new outlet for his comedy.

Yeah, they show it sometimes on Public TV. One of the funniest shows ever.

I find that making lists like this depresses me, I think god I can''t possible spend that many hours of my life *watching* TV. Gah... the fact that I found myself nodding along with most of the lists is bad sign.

Off the cuff I have been watching Invader Zim and Reign the Conquerer as new things... They are surprisingly good. Reign the Conquerer was done by the same folks that create Aeon Flux for MTV.. it''s weird but pretty deep (Story of Alexander the Great).

Ok so where do I begin? As Certis has eluded to I watch an absurd amount of TV. My passion in life is acting and I love a good story so I guess that is partly responsible for my time in front of the TV the other is the weather. It gets insanly cold up here where I live (Certis can attest to that) during the winter months.

Top 5. (for now):

Angel (Best show still on the air right now!) Thursday
Buffy (Fantastic episode this week!) Tuesday
Alias (Jennifer Garner is one sexy mama!) Sunday
Enterprise (It''s Star Trek) Wednesday
Smallvile (When will he learn to fly already!) Tuesday

The rest, In the order they show:

Sunday:
Simpsons (It still has its moments)
Malcolm in the Middle (Just dam funny)
Andy Richter Takes Over the Universe (Where has it gone?)
Junkyard Wars (Proper JOB!)

Monday:
Veritas the Quest (I give everything a chance)
Miracles (Very cool show!)
CSI Miami (Not as good as the original but still good)
Monster Garage (I love to tinker)

Tuesday:
24 (I love the pacing and the story is good)

Wednesday:
That 70''s show (Dumbass!)

Thursday:
Friends (So many funny moments)
Survivor (I have no idea why!)

Friday:
John Doe (Cool concept, very intrigued)
Fastlane (I''m weak! Good lord the women!)

Shows Not Airing at the moment!
The Mole (Best reality game show there was)
Amazing Race (Nothing funnier than watching stupid people panic)

Shows Recently cancelled:
Firefly (I hate fox for cancelling this!!!)

I might have forgotten something but I got some TV to watch.

And at the opposite end of the spectrum, is I. The only show I watch every week is The West Wing, though I did just finish watching the season 1 DVD of 24.

- Elysium

You like the West Wing? I really tried to like the show but never could. Law and Order is a good show though.

Someone mentioned Space 1999, and it made me think of Space: Above and Beyond. What a great show. To bad it was only on for such a short time.

For all of you Red Dwarf fans: in case you haven''t heard, the first and second seasons are now available on DVD!

I liked that show as well- the plot paradigm/episodic quality was pretty schizophrenic, but when it was ''on'', it worked.

Ill agree with you there, I liked Space : Above and Beyond, but it only worked some of the time. Sometimes it was excellent stuff, then sometimes it was boring as hell. Wish SciFi still showed reruns though.

Hell yeah, S:AAB is still one of my favorite shows. I still curse Fox for cancelling it. You can stull buy DVD and VCD copies of the entire series, however, on Ebay, and I plan on doing that soon.
