Does the SIMS for PS2 have pets?? (Girlfriend gaming thread)

I was hoping the Xbox version does as well. I am wanting to get my girlfriend into gaming more and I think this game would be the ideal game with the 2 player splitscreen mode. She loves cats so having pets would be key

Flux, I love your motivations!

I''ve tried many times to get my wife into gaming, including buying PacMan Worlds (BARF). Nothing has worked and I''m beginning to think it''s for the better, this way I don''t have to share the TV more than I already do. CURSE you American Idol!!! Is this show on every freaking night?!

I have to try !!! muhahaha

Looks like the only pets are fish, bah !!!

Oh, not do discourage you, but if a girl has not had previous gaming experience, they usually won''t get into it. So let it be, and enjoy the games yourself.
Some people are lucky enough to find a woman who enjoys gaming, but few and far between...
I''m thinking that will change soon tho, I see girls at the arcade more often... Dancing on DDR and so, but hey, it''s a start.

Sure you wouldn''t rather like to see the sex bed from Hot Date?

Well, she is really open minded and has played my Xbox before...played Nascar drunk = blast, she enjoys watching Splinter Cell and Mechassault.

Sex bed in console version??

Everquest and The Sims seems to be two of the more ""chick friendly"" games out there. Otherwise, I''m not really sure what you can do, maybe some 3D platform titles? Ratchet and Clank may be a good choice!

I think Everquest was a good choice about 2.5 years ago for me but I am really trying to avoid going back to that game ever again. I got way too involved with it a couple of years ago

What is that platformer that has you stopping time??

Nevermind...Blinx. I may try that.

My girlfriend is addicted to the Sims. She''ll play for hours and hours at a time given the chance. She also played Civilization II quite a bit too though.

Co-op is the key. Starcraft is a good door.

I do have Starcraft on the PC but I was thinking maybe the micro management would be too much for her.

My wife and I have a great time with Starcraft on our LAN. She likes to defend the choke points with bunkers and siege tanks while I raid the enemies. We have a lot of fun with other cooperative games too: DOA3 tag-team, Deathrow, Diablo2, UT, Halo ...

My girlfriend loves the GTA series of games but her all time fave (and one she regularly kicks my ass on) is Super Puzzle Fighter.
I do however have to endure the odd bout of ""you love your PC more than you love me!"" cuz she just can''t get into most PC games I like.

I played Baldur''s Gate: Dark Alliance in coop with mine. You get to kill all the baddies while she picks up all the loot and throws fireballs and magic missiles in your back. She really digged it!

So you did all the hard work and she got all the bling-bling? Sounds like your average relationship.

haha, true, true

Timely thread resurrection!

Some suggestions besides Baldur''s Gate - Champions of Norrath, Socom I/II, and EQ were games that I enjoyed playing with the last jerk I ""dated"". Any game where she can shoot you, steal your loot, level up faster than you, customize her character''s clothing, and partake in some form of violence (towards you) is hilarious and fun. Great way to spend time together. At least it always works for me, then again I don''t have any trouble finding a gamer to date because the majority of you are men. And, I still hate the sims

Timely? Try a full year past the ""sell-by"" date.

I''m lucky there... my girlfriend doesn''t go for any ''girly'' fluffy stuff - she''s been playing Duels of the Planeswalkers / Spells of the Ancients, working on the castles... recently we''ve worked through Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission together.

It''s just not good gaming unless someone hurls a controller to the ground, bellowing out ""cheating son of a b*tch!"" at least a few times.

Her last addiction was Fallout 2... ""once you go black, you won''t go back (black isle, that is)
