DOA VBALL impressions

So anybody thats picked this up want to share their impressions?

With only 1 review on gamerankings(a maxim review noless), im starting to think the vball game to get is that one for the gc(Beach Spikers I think).

If any game cried out for ""mail order delivery in a plain brown wrapper"", this is it

Well, it''s not hitting my part of Canada until Friday it seems, I guess I''ll get to hear some impressions before I go for it.

Blame Canada !!!!!

Sorry, sometimes I just can''t help it.

Its delayed in Canada because its soooo freakin'' cold this week -- the delivery guys don''t want to leave the truck. In Edmonton it is the coldest its been in ages. Argh.

Ya in Edmonton here its freaking insane. Everything is caked in a nice thick layer of frozen death.

This city is messed up like that, insanely cold in the winter and insanely hot in the summer.

It''s not coming to St. Catharine''s until Friday either. I asked the EB guy purely out of curiosity, of course

Now imagine the hype surrounding this game, even my 10 year old sister wants to buy it. Not that I''m going to stop her or something 8)

I was a little surprised to find out that the game actually features volleyball gameplay (honestly). Judging from the way the camera was moving around, and the lack of the usual on-screen data for positioning your player and making an appropriately strong return, I had guessed that you merely watched that aspect of the game.

I have to admit I''m a little intrigued by the arcade-style volleyball approach. Not to mention the asian T&A and dating sim aspects that I love so well.

Well, Id have to say as first impressions go, this game is beautiful, original and very damn hard! I had never played a VBall game before, so I didn''t know that there was actually skill involved. The deceptive thing about it is the lack of on screen data, its just you and them, so its hard to know if youre doing what you are supposed to.

I need more practice before I can decide whether or not I like the game, simply because I can''t really explore many of the features if everybody hates me because I suck

I wanted to rent this yesterday but the local Blockbuster didn''t have it (period, not just not in stock). It''ll have to be another day to fulfill my guilty little interest in seeing the game.
