Argh, anyone else have Steam problems with Visa? It never likes my address, and it seems random. Sometimes it works with a dash in my Postal Code, sometimes it doesn't like the pound sign for my Apartment number, etc.

I got a couple games this morning, but it just won't let me gift a few more to my son, using the SAME address used before. Always says that it doesn't match the address on file. I'm sure I have several charges that will need to be revoked now, and my Visa company has probably red-flagged it.

I was getting the same problem a few days ago with my Visa card, after using the same card and Steam without a single problem for over a year now. My guess is that their authentication system is getting hammered because of the sale and is generating errors. My address is pretty simple, so I don't think it is simply the system being fussy about the specifics.

Gave me a chance to dust off my Mastercard.

I've (unfortunately?) had zero problems paying off my Steam tab via PayPal.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (PS2) is a pretty popular Atlus title that's been reprinted.

Currently it is Amazon's Deal of the Day, for $30

I brought home a nice haul today:
1701 A.D. Gold (includes Sunken Dragon expansion) - $20 (@ EBgames)
Europa Universalis 3: Complete (includes Napoleon's Ambition & In Nomine expansions) - $10 (@ EBgames, also @ Best Buy)
Verge Drum Throne - $15 (@ Circuit City)
LOTRO: Mines of Moria - $20 (@ BestBuy)

Now I don't feel so bad for having completely missed out on the Steam sale.

What They Play is advertising a $10 2K coupon for select games.

Bioshock for PS3, NHL 2K9, NBA 2K9, Civ Revolution, Civ Colonization, Carnival Games, Carnival Minigolf, and a Dora game...

Red Alert 3 on Amazon.com for $29.99 for PC

Good snags!

Oh win, THANK YOU. I'm snagging EUIII complete for $10 and I'll sell the original I already own on goozex. You sir are my hero!

Go Gamer is having another 48 hour madness: http://www.gogamer.com/

Their design is weird, but scroll down a bit, to the left a bit, and then you have to scroll down in the 48 hour Madness area-- their design is weird.

Fall Out 3, PC- $32.90 is pretty tempting.

Dear Amazon.com Customer,
As someone who has shopped Video Games at Amazon.com, you might like to know that on Monday, January 12, 2009, the Amazon.com Gold Box will feature video game products for video gamers all day long.

For you classic PC Gamers I just noticed (via Rock. Paper. Shotgun.) that Steam has the X-Com Series Pack on sale for just $5 this weekend.

Posted this elsewhere, but Gamersgate.com has King's Bounty for $20 this weekend only

GOG.com has Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Sacrifice 2-pack for $10 this weekend. If you already own either of them, you get a dollar discount on the other as well. Don't forget to click the banner at the top of GWJ before you register if you don't have an account yet.

Never mind...they're out.

Grrg...just last night I paid $40 elsewhere.

Ah well, looks to be as fun as I was hoping.

Certis locked our previous STEAM deals thread, so just a reminder: The whole X-Com collection is/was on sale for $5 on STEAM. For the price of a cup of coffee, you can battle invading aliens and steal their technology. Won't you please help!

For any Canadian Goodjers, Rogers Video is having a 2 for 40 game sale

I picked up Mirrors Edge, Prince Of Persia, Smackdown vs raw 2009 and Midnight Club los angeles.

also how i got those is I asked at the till if they had any of the rentals that they were pulling off the shelf to sell previously viewed and those were the ones plus fallout 3 and some others for both 360 and PS3.

So your results may vary but it never hurts to ask

Okay, this time it's live: Buy.com is selling the 13 month Xbox Live subscription card for $30 with free shipping.

World of Goo for PC half off, just $10 on Amazon for the next hour or so, if they last. Currently 40% sold out.

5 minutes left for the sale.

Circuit City has the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith wireless bundle for $39.99 (free shipping + tax) for all platforms. Direct link.

Stardock's Impulse is having a weekend sale with a few deals including the fun indie game - Gish for $3.99! The others on sale for the same price (none of which I know anything about) are Astral Masters (?), Kudos 2 (life sim), and Tangle Bee (puzzle).

Dell is having a great sale. The story is also on Kotaku but you save about 30% on virtually all of their gaming stuff. INCLUDING CONSOLES. That means the 360 Elite is marked down $90. The Pro is down $60 and the arcade is down $30. Same deal on the PS3s. NEW games are marked down almost $10. LBP for $50.99. I'm tempted, but I've got my eye on KZ2 when it comes out...sigh. It's dreamy.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for $10 on Steam

Might have to bite on this one.

Goddamn it. My impulse game purchase desires are being exploited by Gabe Newell. He's going to make me have a huge Steam backlog while I live on the streets.

This isn't even a funny joke anymore. Seriously, I hate you, Gabe. You're ruining my chances of financial stability. You're like the CEO of a cigarette company.

Yeah I have been eyeing it. I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on a PS3, even though I only want it for Valkyria Chronicles and Blu Ray (Planet Earth). I can't see the PS3 going below $316 anytime in the next year.

GameStop is selling a few used 360 games for a pretty cheap price this week:

Marvel Ultimate Alliance $4.99
Battlefield 2 $9.99
The Darkness $9.99

I already own MUA for the original xbox, but I'm seriously thinking about rebuying it at that price. I've heard Battlefield has an incredibly sh*tty first person game, so no go on that one... is anyone even still playing it multiplayer? The Darkness has an 82% on Metacritic, but I don't know... not all that interested in the license.

If by first person you mean singleplayer, then yes, it is sh*tty. It's a good multiplayer FPS, but I don't think there's a single goodjer playing it.
