Miranda Cosgrove?

She has the body of a 12 year old, and the head of a 35 year old. She;s creepy.

But I think she's closer to 16 or so.

And so what? She doesn't magically appear in my Rock Band 2 game... I'm talking about looking at MY personally created girl band.

EDIT:

I'm not a huge PJ fan, but it's cool to see these coming... still, MARCH? Bah.

So, did anyone pick up the Country DLC? I'm going to get it regardless, was just looking for any commentary on the difficulty of the guitar tracks, as it seems like it's pretty up there for all of em.

Not me... just no interest in these songs.

What do you need to know about them? I have a ton of users on my site who would probably be able to answer anything about them, but I'll give it a shot here. Are you concerned about too hard or too easy? And in either case, what's your favorite "hard" songs in the game?

I might pick them up.

I picked them up for the wife, I wish there were more of them but I'm sure this is a taste test to see how well the genre does in general for DLC.

I haven't played the guitar on them yet though, just sang one or two of them.

Country music is really interesting and they have some great guitar work in general.

I don't really have a favorite 'hard' song, just wondering about general playability.

Ahoy hoy,

Since this week is truncated for us on account of a fairly sizable holiday, you get next week's DLC announcement a few days early!

Our next batch of DLC features a trifecta of classic rock tracks from such notable bands as Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, and James Gang. Additionally, a single from Scottish alternative rock group Snow Patrol's latest record will be up for your rocking pleasure.

The full list is as follows:

Deep Purple - "Space Truckin'"
James Gang - "Funk #49"
Jethro Tull - "Hymn 43"
Snow Patrol - "Take Back the City"

All songs will be available for 160 MS points on Xbox Live Marketplace, and $1.99 on the PlayStation Network.

The release dates for these songs will be December 30th on Xbox Live Marketplace, and January 8th on the PlayStation Network, due to Sony being on holiday next week.

sigh... another DLC pack, another groan of disinterest escaping my lips.

Funk #49!

That makes me so happy.

Both my wife and I like 'Take Back the City', so that's an insta-buy for us.

I've played all of the country songs on guitar now, and can say that they're doable on normal. I'm not a 31337 plastic guitar player or anything but we were getting 4-5 stars on normal difficulty.

I picked em up myself yesterday and played through em all with my wife. Drums on hard, and I can get through everything with 4 star minimum except Sin Wagon. Holy cow, I hate that song. I did guitar on hard and did pretty mediocre, 3-4 stars, which means I could definitely 5 star em all on normal. Next up, singing

Wasnt there talk awhile back about Chinese Democracy coming to RB2?

I saw one song from Chinese Democracy for download last night. I did not download it yet but I know at least one song is there. Have I mentioned RB2 is stealing my life.

"Shackler's Revenge" (or whatever) is on the RB2 game, isn't it? I know I've played that crappy song... not sure if it was on RB2, RB1, or some kind of download.

Actually I misspoke I played Shackler's revenge last night as part of a challenge. I do not need to play it again nor if that is how the rest of the album sounds worry about buying it. So yes it is in RB2.

I would very much like to see some classic GnR tracks, however...

I think I remember reading somewhere that Axl said the whole album would be coming to RB2. Overall, not a bad album, but I think I'd be cherry-picking songs for the game.

In confirmed news....

GAH! Another week and not a single interesting track for me to download. I know they have over 500 songs, and I know these are songs that will appeal to certain people, but I'm getting pretty bummed out that none of these new DLC tracks appeal to me directly.

Roy Orbison is awesome and those songs are all awesome and this pack is awesome

I think Mex finally caught something that's gotten into his brainstem.

On country, I agree with Mex. Despite not being a guitar player, I do find the songs to have some good guitar in them. Brooks and Dunn is at least as good as ZZ Top in that regard, and although that's probably a bad comparison, I can't think of better off the top of my head. But I do know that ZZ Top is one of the all time classic rock artists.

As for Roy Orbison, even if none of the other songs up there are major hits, Oh, Pretty Woman, most certainly is. The man is an Icon despite having been dead for 20 years.

I dunno I just think this is a beautifully made song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e3Wu...

and also this one although not in the pack

I mean, damn, how do you sing so low and then go so high : P

He made great simple songs and sang them real good.

Also I forgot to post this the other day but I found this video and holy crap, The Who are awesome and if you haven't at least downloaded Baba O'riley you should.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp6-w...

Pete Townsend is incredible, and when the whole band enters again after the break, goddamn. Gotta buy that video.
