Creepy spider!

In other news, spiders suck at spinning webs in space. Which is just as well, since we haven't brought any flies up there yet.

A comment from the Fark thread I found particularly amusing:

This thread so delivers.

If you notice, this spider looks YOU directly in the eye... With his cold, resolute gaze...

Me, I like spiders. They're useful. They eat house flies and mosquitos.

Dumbest. Monster. Ever.

Now we know what it could cost to shop at Costco.

Spider: 1 - Snake: 0

Wowzers

I worked overnight, and had a bad morning to follow. This thread is just about the only thing so far that was able to cheer me up. Keep up the good work guys! I say, give us MORE FREAKY SPIDERS please!

Spider vs Snake

You managed to combine two delicious phobias. Bravo.

The other night I went into the basement for something, and as I entered a room to turn on a light something hit my face, just below the eye. WTF? I tried to brush it away but it moved to my lips then disappeared. I threw on the light and..yeah, on the floor was a big ol' spider. It had a green stripe on it. That kinda grossed me out, so after flushing it I went and washed my face and rinsed with mouthwash, even though it didn't get in my mouth.

It was such a cheesey fright movie moment. My wife is an arachnophobe, so better it was me than her. We'd have had to sell the house

L4D should add some sort of spider zombie.

I've seen those before... The spider did not get the snake on his own. There's a large wound in that second pic, obviously the cause of death.

The wound was obviously caused by a much larger spider. It's not in the picture because it's creeping up behind the photographer.

No, its taking the picture. Learning our technology.

Let's be honest, the photographer is already dead.

Oh jeeze.. This one creeps me out so much.

Why do I still come to this thread?
I'm a huge wuss, but I always look.
I..can't...stop..

Maybe the skin split because of the swelling from the bite. How about that, Mr. Smartypants?

Possible I suppose, but that whole area, from the wound up to the other side of the body looks pink, like it suffered massive internal injuries. Perhaps from being run over by a car?

I, for one, welcome our arachnid overlords.

You can doubt the spiders all you want, but that's only going to make your death that much more surprising -- to you, that is. It'll be less surprising to the rest of us.

For all you lovers of many-legged horrors: the elbow squid.

Cool! It does look like an elogated face-hugger!

I don't mind spiders, but that thing is downright creepy. Burn it! Burn it with fire!

Out of interest, what else would you burn it with?

Acid?

Edit: Too slow

Depends how creative I'm allowed to be with interpretation of the word 'burn'.

Off the top of my head, I'd say acid, plasma, lava, microwaves and if you're feeling open-minded, liquid nitrogen. That... thing might require a combination of the above.

Edit: Can't believe I forgot the most obvious one given the context - a nuke.

It's the only way to be sure.
