I think we say "and" quite a bit.

I wish I could favorite this.

Boss battles are awesome!
They also make sense in shmups, and Metroidvania's,

Another enjoyable podcast, thank you. Listening to you guys talk about Dishonored, I'm surprised there were no comparisons made to Assassin's Creed. Ignoring the story bits, if you hadn't said the name "Dishonored" I would have just assumed you were talking about AC based on the game play descriptions.

So I'll ask the question, how does this game compare to AC?

You run along rooftops.

Hmmmm. Other than that there is some aspect of open world stuff but the stealth is much more focused on not being seen than blending in. The powers in Dishonored are much more over the top as well.

I call them "spyposd".

Late on this, but iTunes only grabbed the first 4 seconds of the show. Did anyone else have this issue?

EDIT: Disregard. Tried again and it looks like it grabbed everything. Weird.

I first misread as "sprite typos." Obvs. better than polygon typos.

Was this the episode where an email was about game character costumes?

Here is my home made Raiden costume.

That looks awesome! The hat is perfect.

Thanks, it was pretty simple to put together. I uploaded it to a site called

It has a section or video game characters and some of the costumes people have made are immense

Julian, what controller do you use on a PC? I've had no trouble with Logitech controllers and GameMaker games like Spelunky and Super Crate Box.

I had to comment on this one. I'm a HUGE fan of Shadow of the Colossus, Demon's Souls, and Dark Souls, mainly because they make boss fights such a great integral part of the game. But I agree that other games, when they do have boss fights, often get them horribly wrong.

Infamous had very lame boss fights, and I found the last boss to be particularly difficult. But it didn't feel clever, it just felt like a pain in the butt.

Not to steal Rabbit's thunder, but this is one of the best purchases I've made all year. The wired 360 controller works like a dream for PC games.

Thanks for reminding me to steal Demyx's wired 360 controller to try on my PC and see how well that works with some of the older titles on my PC. I'm kinda in the market for a new controller (or two) since I always forget to run the XBox controller emulator whenever I fire up something like Saint's Row 3 which doesn't recognize DirectInput devices. Plus, based on the Big Picture web page it doesn't sound like my controllers will work with that either.
