Congratulations on the big three-oh-oh.

300. Blimey.

Why do I keep listening?

I feel like HedgeWizard has a direct line to my brain, cause when Cory addressed that question to him in the podcast I immediately started forming an answer for myself in my mind. Then I heard my thoughts coming out of HedgeWizard's mouth (queue up clip of the Bene Gesserit Reverend Mother screaming "Get out of my mind!" at Allia). Even the bit about the contrast with the Giant Bombcast crew (I've been listening to them a bit more lately cause of their longer casts that I can listen to while I'm out in the field cutting and pulling weeds) was spot on. It was really spooky.

So, yeah, what HedgeWizard said.

Congrats on the 300th, guys. And any GWJers that are visiting Sado, let me know and we'll get together for beers and boardgames!

PS. Just received my earbuds from Tweaked Audio in the mail today. They sound great!

Aaaaand this week's rundown, brought to you by

Congratulations on the big thirty-oh to all involved. I've only been following things the last year and a half or so, but it's been a blast.

I just wanted to drop a note for anybody looking for more of a discussion on the digital resale issue in europe. Gameburst (gameburst.co.uk) another fantastic gaming podcast, had a great chat about it on their 7/8 news show. Sorry I can't link it, at work at the moment.

The end result from their analysis is that absolutely nothing changes for steam, xbox live, or any of the big boys. It'll be interesting to see where eulas go if the law is moving in this direction, though.

Congrats on 300 episodes! Looking forward to listening to this

Congrats on 300. The outtake at the end was great. Thanks for adding it. I only wish outtakes appeared more often. I know you guys are pros at this after 300 podcasts, but I'm sure there are funny outtake moments that happen more than once every 3 months or so.

Bah, I'm going to break the line and say congrats on 500, because we all know you'll get there. You guys rule! Glad to have you guys in the car as I drive to work because it always makes things less boring and so much more entertaining. Also, just seeing that you brought back the podunk stomp makes me grin ear to ear.

Unless they actually go through with Certis' suggestion of stopping at show 365.

ps - Please don't stop at show 365.

Not a frequent poster here on the forums (yet!), but a very frequent listener of the podcast. Thanks to the Conference Call, I have enjoyed many hours of gaming goodness with games I otherwise wouldn't have either known about or purchased.

Congratulations on 300 and keep up the great work!

11 comments and not one of them is asking for more info on Sean's new keyboard. I am disappoint.

I am literally at the ready to type more info about it. Just ask! Don't be afraid, go ahead.

In the meantime, I'm just going to press some sexy, sexy keys ...

..dakfhk2^%cumjdyahnvkskfi@u87!!

I have a Razer Lycosa keyboard and suddenly feel... inadequate after hearing Sean's story.

He's not lying, mechanical keyboards are fantastic.
Do you have Cherry MX Blues?

If anyone listening is interested in Brass, you can play it online here:

http://brass.orderofthehammer.com/

I will happily take on all challengers

Sean, I for one, would like to hear how silky the keys are to the touch. Have you used the [esc] key yet? Is it great?

Now I want a mechanical keyboard.

Too bad I can't find a wireless wave keyboard that is mechanical...

Is there any sort of resource that explains the differences between the different cherries? Tech Report loves to talk about which ones are in which keyboard, but as someone who doesn't know keyboards that much it goes *whoosh* over my head.

Congrats on the milestone!

If anyone else on the forums is playing the FTL beta or wants to discuss it, we have a thread here.

Geekhack.org is the usual place for insanely detailed information about mechanical switches, but the site seems to be in the middle of some kind of transition and currently inactive. But Google led me to this, which looks decent.

I think the Blues on the Black Widow are amazing. The "Stealth" version has Brown switches, but the clickiness is part of the point of a mechanical keyboard, as far as I'm concerned.

(I also have fond memories of the IBM buckling-spring keyboards in the school computer lab.)

Is the only difference between the Ultimate keyboard and standard the backlit keys?

A colleague of mine was gushing about his mechanical keyboard a few months ago. Now that I've heard the same thing from Sean I'm ready to take them seriously; I'll head on over to Google to learn exactly what they are, but if anyone would like to give a lengthy, detailed explanation peppered with personal anecdotes I'd love to read it.

I just want to say it's one of the highlights of my week when I get to sit down and talk with you guys, so congrats on 300 episodes and still keeping it fun!

My favorite podcast? Probably the live audience GenCon one. First time I did the podcast in front of a live audience and it was absolutely mind-blowing. I mean keyboard-level stuff.

That's Hyperbole Theater. Nothing is as exciting as keyboards.

Was budgeting eleventy billion dollars for a new iMac, or a macbook pro + new PC. But I think I'll put every penny into a mechanical keyboard and ride the wave of orgasms that apparently accompany this life choice.

Somewhere, a couple hundred episodes ago, you read a letter from someone who described listening to the podcast as "having a conversation with your friends about games, only you don't happen to be speaking at the moment." Or something like that. As someone who spends far less time speaking than listening in real life, face-to-face conversations, that was, and is, how I feel about the Conference Call.

And to those people who see the topic and say "Bah, I'm not listening to them talk about X": you are stupid and wrong! If my friends are really excited about X then I'm going to listen to them talk about it, because there's a good chance it's something I could get into, even if it doesn't sound like my sort of thing. The same holds true for the CC. Only once, somewhere back when I first started listening, have I chosen not to listen all the way through a podcast. I can't even remember why. But I've wished I could remember which episode that was so I could do it justice.

So thanks for the podcast and the site.

And Shalalm Baskur.

Congrats on 300 Gents!

If you really want to make Elysium feel old...remind him of GWJ Radio!

First episode I've downloaded is the old one when Russ and Certis (GWJ Radio??) said that that was the last episode, and I was really happy when I see that you started a new one called GWJ CC

About Brass (did you really played as a 6 player game? ), If you enjoyed that try Chicago Express, it is very deep, not at first sight, and scratch a similar itch as Brass in 45 minutes, also you can try it on the iPad.

Love the show, as Corey said it change the way he is, but also changed I'm sure, to some of us the listeners.
