I ALMOST DIED

wordsmythe sacrificed the site temporarily in order to conjure up his thread necromancy.

This is always the thread I think of when I can't get to the site. I couldn't connect for more than twenty minutes.

You should realize I can't last much longer than that.

Well sure, Organ failure starts not long after 20 minutes.

GWJ is a hell of a drug.

Probably a good time to change some of those table names.

That's what she said...

Thank you! I'm here all week, try the veal.

Arise

I'm guessing the too many connections issue got fixed?

They just wanted to celebrate the one year anniversary of *Legion* almost dying.

Ctrl + F5

Oh come on, web site; *Legion*'s been through enough the last couple days for you to conk out on him.

I almost died.

15 minutes of downtime! OW! :'(

Gasp.... Choke... Site... down! Almost... didn't... make it! Talking... like... Shatner...

I blame Microsoft. Ever since NXE dropped, the NXE thread has started taking forever to open. MS may have miscalculated the server needs of everyone posting their avatars all over the freaking web.

Clearly this was the first phase of the implosion caused by the TF2 thread going over 10,000 posts.

If I was at home, I would've been so busy with Left 4 Dead on my PCs and the new Dashboard and Netflix on my 360s, I wouldn't have noticed.

But that's not how GWJ downtime rolls. No, it waits until that last agonizing hour of the Pacific time zone workday, to ensure that I'm trying to browse GWJ as work ends.

I feel your pain, I almost died too

So in visiting http://blastprocessing.net/, all I see is:

"Error establishing a database connection"

I am conflicted and confused.

Think I need to go lie down for a while.

Are you saying you visit sites other than GWJ?

GWJ = the internet, right?

Migrating to new hosting. Actually, I'm going to integrate the BP articles back into my own blog, resume the monthly PC build articles and occasional hack guides there, and do something new with the BP name & domain later on.

First, though, I'm trying to get ahead on work projects, so that I can spend my extra weekend time doing my own projects instead of putting extra hours into work ones.

odd, today another thread of somebody that almost really died and then to read this lol

aaaaaaaaaaahhhh....

I almost posted!

I had no idea the site was running drupal

Whew... everything is back to normal. Breathing is slowing down, heart beat becoming regular again. That was scary.
