Random thing you love right now that doesn't deserve its own thread

$80 for a bottle of Buffalo Trace is too expensive for what you get. It's not a bad bourbon, but it's not $80 good.

Remember (or notice), we're talking about Australian dollars, not real money.

Pretty soon, we won't be either...

Well, they were nearly equivalent for a while there -- it wasn't until I bought World of Goo the other day and the US$20 worked out to be $31 instead of $22 or so that I remembered that the exchange rate's gone down the can lately

I really could do with a good bourbon, so I'll do some poking around locally and see what I can get, and then get you, oh bourbon lords, to vet it for me!

My random thing this week has to be HOME RUN INN frozen thin crust pizzas. I've raved before about how HRI is hands down the best frozen pizza I've ever had, but the regular style is a 31oz gut-bomb which clocked in at nearly 3,000 calories. The new thin crust versions have nearly all of the same great taste, but are only around 1,200 calories.

And before Wordy pipes in with another "Ooooh... WE can get that in Chicago without having to go to crappy fast food/frozen blah blah blah...," I'll just point out that sometimes you just want to pop something into the oven (yes, I have plenty of great authentic local non-chain pizza here if I wanted it).

What you do in the privacy of your home is none of my concern.

I think I'll hit the Giordano's around the corner for lunch.

Its uncanny.

Man I loved those movies. Need to go out and buy them all. Except for the stupid remake.

Heard this on the radio in Saints Row 2. Been singing it ever since:

Today I saw a Hawaii license plate on my way to work. My first thought was: "Cool! Never saw one of those before!" Next thought was: "How the eff did they get their car to PA?"

Hawaiian cars are amphibious.

I was going to go with "pineapple raft" myself.

I would have gone with "Why in God's name would you leave Hawaii for Pennsylvania?"

They don't grow pineapples in Hawaii anymore

Says who? Pretty sure Dole is based in Hawaii...

I took this photo myself:

I toured the Dole plantation in 2000 and the guide said they were shutting down all Hawaiian pineapple production within 3 years because of costs. However, this site makes me think something changed. Sorry.

Edit: Looking at the store from that site, that's one expensive raft.

Hmm. I remember my father telling me they don't export pineapples anymore. Apparently all they grow are for internal consumption. First I had heard that they weren't going to grow them though.

Maybe. They need something to sell to the tourists.

The "inspection" of our outgoing pineapples was to run them through an X-ray machine. Weird.

The Freedom Fighters soundtrack is now available for download! *squeee*

TMO.

I'm not sure if I "love" this or not, but they are filming a movie 2 blocks from my aprtment! Oh yeah and I towed in a Timberwolves players car this week

I was listening to 1up Yours podcast and they were discussing the debate of WoW vs all other MMO's and I hear quote "and suddenly fricken four years later the F**KING hurricane of WoW is gathering again and it's stronger than it's ever been." Made me laugh so hard that I had to put it in this thread.

Edit:
For anyone interested the episode is dated 10-24-08. I would start listening right around 1 hour 44min mark where they are using the metaphore of soccer vs football in america.

Don't worry, if the KOTOR MMO is anything like KOTOR 1&2 then WoW will be put to shame.

Had that experience myself recently. It turned out rather well.

My latest random thing I love is actually based on that answer from earlier, about how military folks move cars from Hawaii to Pennsylvania. Why is that, you ask? Because in the next year, I'll be moving not once, but twice. Once to Texas, and then to somewhere else. No idea yet. But know what? It'll be free, and all I have to do is unpack. I love TMO.

Honey nut cream cheese. Oh man.
I haven't had it in forever, and I saw it in the store the other day. Now I'm addicted to it all over again.
With apple juice.

Speaking of cream cheese... Einstein Brother's "pumpkin cream cheese" on a cinnamon-sugar bagel is pure heavenly bliss (and probably about 2,000 clories...).

Wow.. Sounds yummy, but I think my heart just stopped for a second.
I love bagels and cream cheese.

Bagels and Cream Cheese is the true breakfast of champions. I like onion with the chives cream cheese from Philly. Strawberry and plain bagels is also tasty, but you can sub in any of the fruit cream cheeses there. Cinnamon Raisin and Plain will always rule in my heart though. OM NOM NOM.
