Fable 2 catch all

UPS FTW. I dunno why, but I've always had _fantastic_ luck with UPS. Even after moving. with the 2-3 day shipping I usually get it on day 2.

Hmmm...Circuit City has a deal where you can buy / preorder this and get a $15 iTunes card. Boy, they are desperate for cash!!

We got one at work in our last shipment which they won't let me buy!

Hrm, looking like I'll finish Dead Space in time for this . . . I'm just not so sure I want to buy anything a week before Fallout

OXM gave it a 9.5. I'm gonna wait until I read a few internet reviews but so far it sounds promising.

Either that's a fantastically horrible metaphor, or you can actually try your hand at farming and I didn't realize it.

The first one. Would you prefer "choose your own path"?

Lionhead have confirmed the release day co-op patch. Now you can plough those furrows together!

"Ploughing furrows" sounds like a euphemism for Elysium making Certis pregnant.

Has there been any word on a PC version for this one? I really liked the first game, and being able to pick up Fable 2 after the fall release rush is over and done with would be great.

Give him a break, guys. He's in the UK.

local coop isn't split screen, the two characters share the same camera view.
So if your significant other/child/friend doesn't like to stick close expect a learning curve or frustration.
You can 'snap' the camera to your view at any time, but so can they.

The 'release day' patch was out at least a week ago.

There haven't been any consequences (that I've seen) to importing a cheating scoundrel from the pub games.

I don't need any breaks. Exchanging our personal idioms enriches us all.

I'm off to plough my personal furrow. And I won't be back for ten minutes!

I look forward to seeing some of your guys first impressions with the game. As it stands I have it preordered but if it's not as good as I was hoping then I'm just gonna wait for a while before getting it. Good thing they're gonna get that co-op in same day.

:D I'm going to go knock up my shower door.

How does that work? How will you know that without playing it yourself first huh? HUH!?

Gamasutra has an article about Fable 2 up

Nah, I think they took that out. Though from what I hear Elysium's good at that kind of thing (with all due respect to Elysia and the Elysiling).

Also, DHL STILL hasn't updated my shipping status. No activity since the 16th. Looks like I won't be getting it today, either. Frikkin DHL...

I'd be making calls at this point if I were you.

Well, crikey. Eurogamer is stingier than most sites with its scores as well.

Who should I call, DHL? NewEgg? The tracking number NewEgg gave me doesn't even work on DHL's site.

I'd call Newegg and tell them the shipping is all screwed up. They should deal directly with DHL on your behalf if it's DHL's problem. If it's not, then you'll find out just what Newegg is doing.

I'm on hold with their livechat service. If that doesn't work out I'll try the phone. Hopefully it will, since I have enough trouble understanding people over the phone as it is, never mind the typical heavily accented "help" operators.

The IGN UK review is up...

That was a good review. I've never read any of their reviews before. Maybe I'll have to start.

NewEgg did give me the line that "it's not technically late yet so we're not going to do anything about it." They also gave me the number to DHL and told me the reference number I'd been using was an internal number, so while DHL has it on file it's not what they use to track packages (which explains why my search on their site wasn't turning up anything). I'll go give them a call.

Early review scores are starting to make the next day or so look pretty long. I can't wait to get this in my hands.

How close? Do you have to hold hands, or is do fights play out pretty reasonably? Also, do they exist in the game world all the time, or just during combat?

As soon as I discovered Eurogamer I stopped caring about other review sites. Aside from forum impressions and Zero Punctuation reviews, they're the best place to go.
