Yay for Saturday mornings!

Harkins' all-digital movie theaters.

The only better place I've been to see a movie is at the ArcLight Hollywood theaters, which are just phenomenal.

Firing up UAE to play the original Amiga version of Lemmings -- a great way to relax on a quiet Sunday afternoon.

Raising Cane's chicken strips. Mmmmmm.

My new window blind that I managed to install today with only a mild carpel tunnel aggravation. Its just a regular window blind but since moving to Stylez's, I've been blinded out of bed by the sun every morning. With this, I might actually be able to sleep past 8am.

Hell yeah! I'm impressed they've made it to where you are. Up until a few years ago, it was only two restaurants in Baton Rouge.

Chipotle is pure awesome. 3 soft tacos, extra hot sauce, a bag of nachos, and the fresh brewed iced-tea.

We've got a few in Minnesota (at least 2, one in Apple Valley (42 and Cedar) and one in the U of M dinktown area (Somewhere near Oak and Washington in Minneapolis)) and for the record they are excellent chicken fingers, I lover the Texas Toast, the fries are decent (nothing noteworthy about them, standard crinkle cut), and they aren't horribly expensive (The "Caniac" meal is like $8.75 with the tax, 6 chicken fingers, good portion of fries, large soda, piece of toast and a coleslaw (Which I get another piece of toast for, I don't like coleslaw)

I'm iffy on whether I like Moe's or Chipotle better. I think I like Moe's simply for the fact that I can get a Homewrecker with everything that I'd get at Chipotle, but not pay through the nose for guac. Mmm.. Homewrecker with steak, black beans, rice and everything OMNOMNOMNOM

My random thing of the weekend was trying to get emulated pokemon roms to link over the network with my girlfriend. Then we both got annoyed with it and moved on to other games. Our mutual gamer ADD can be really amusing/scary sometimes.

Man, living outside a major urban center must be really rough.

What's that? Tasty and inexpensive? Don't mind if I do!

The chicken casserole I cooked tonight. I had no idea I was that good a cook.

I wish I could get some fancy-pants bourbon over here -- the best you can find readily is Maker's Mark, and it's pretty decent, but even that's $40 a bottle. I found one place that stocks Buffalo Trace, but it's $80 a bottle!

Ask your store about it. Mine never carried Old Forester, and I've had plenty of bourbons. I kept asking and magically, one day, it appeared. Actually, I was buying mostly Maker's until Old Forester became stock at the store, with forays into Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Knob Creek, and others.

Maker's is $40-50 in my store for the 1.75L bottle. Old Forester is consistently $10-15 cheaper. Personally, I think it's better.

I personally don't like Maker's Mark that much. I think it's "over-hyped". There are so many better bourbons out there. I agree with LilCodger that Old Forrester is the best bourbon that you can get really really cheap.

*edit* I like Knob Creek as well. It's a good staple when it comes to drinking bourbons.

I'm LilCodger, and I approve this message. It's not just because I've had four or five fingers or so of Old Forester tonight. Definitely not.

Okay, maybe a little.

EDIT: Seriously, ask. If your store can get a cheaper bourbon that they can sell well, they're likely to stock it.

$80 for a bottle of Buffalo Trace is too expensive for what you get. It's not a bad bourbon, but it's not $80 good.
