Fable 2 catch all

Lobster, I made the same decisions as in your first time, except in the first choice.

Choice 1: Cooperate
Choice 2: Justice
Choice 3: Brown
Choice 4: Revenge
Choice 5: Left
Reward: Lionhead Tattoo and Hero Doll

Also, I was running into errors claiming the prize. But they went away when I opened a new tab and manually signed into Live.

EDIT: After some more testing, I think you're right about the final decision. That's all that matters in determining the prize.
Choice 1: Cooperate
Choice 2: Revenge
Choice 3: Green
Choice 4: Justice
Choice 5: Right
Reward: Nasty Expression Book, Apocalyptic Pink Dye

Choice 1: Tattle
Choice 2: Justice
Choice 3: Brown
Choice 4: Mercy
Choice 5: Right
Reward: Nasty Expression Book, Apocalyptic Pink Dye

I got the gold and the title from the chicken game and also got all three items from the play which I think you guys are right about that it's just the final decision which the left gives the Lionhead Tattoo and Hero Doll, right gives the Nasty Expression Book, Apocalyptic Pink Dye and Middle Gives the chicken suit.

It's kind of cool though now to get more gold on the pubgames in time for fable 2.

Fixed. The great thing about the pubgames is you can win a pistol, so your character has an easy way out when he gets sick of the loan sharks knocking.

I ordered the regular edition with next day shipping from newegg yesterday per a post on the lionhead forum.
Shows to be out for delivery today!

I just checked NewEgg and it says it's in stock for $54 with free shipping. I placed an order and am going to go cancel my pre-order with Gamestop this afternoon. I hope they'll let me; I already got my Pub Games.

You know, I would do that, but I am getting it from Amazon for $47.99. Not sure how I got that price, but considering I have release-date delivery because of Amazon Prime, I think I can wait for it, especially with a $12 discount.

The free shipping will take 3-7 days, won't it?

I don't think I have the patience to wait that much longer to save $6+tax. Although I guess we are about 6-7 days from the official release date anyways.

Got it!

This is my first major title that I've been able to get before street date (or is it release date
I'm going home at lunch to play!

Yeah. You'd think if one retailer broke it, others would be free to.

I buy from NewEgg a lot and usually they get me my stuff next-day even with cheapo shipping. It seems they ship from a warehouse about 2-3 hours from here. Obviously, YMMV.

I played the "young person" beginning of the game during lunch.
It's great so far if you ask me.
I'm looking forward to the rest.

I can wait for the official street date now that I have my beloved Saints Row 2. Still looking forward to going evil in Fable 2 however :).

There's talk on the Lionhead forums that Newegg have stopped shipping early. How accurate that info is, i wouldn't like to say... fingers crossed for all that ordered there!

oh, it's possibly old news but the third Tales of Albion is out on the Lionhead site for those that have been reading along and crave a small heroe fix.

now i must rest till the 24th....

Thanks for the heads up on the NewEgg early release. I got mine today, about 20 hours after I placed the order. I did go with 2nd day shipping to be safe. I'll start playing in a few hours, I'm ecstatic.

Pictures of the box

So lucky. I checked it out last night and there were no more available from newegg. Anybody played it yet?

Minor tiny spoilers ahead? ...but nothing that can't be seem from the preview videos.

I played from the time I got off until I went to bed... about 4 hours.
I think I followed the main quest mostly, I'm thoroughly enjoying all aspects of the game.
One thing I didn't realize is that there is no mana bar, you basically have unlimited magic as long as you're not interrupted while casting.
They seem to have removed the item trading aspect of it, you can't buy 60 bags of flour to trade in another town.
I traded in my rusty short sword for a steel Axe, I can feel the combat differences between the two similar to Fable 1. I'm still looking for the 'rhythm of the music' and such for the bonuses, I haven't figured that out yet but I have kicked a few guys over a ledge.

Mine shipped on Wednesday so unless NewEgg sends out an interceptor I should get it soon. Or I guess DHL might screw up. The tracking hasn't updated since yesterday morning (with a departure scan).

I think DHL delivers on Saturdays, but typically if it doesn't say "Out for Delivery" at like 6AM, it's not coming that day. You might see it tomorrow though, if it shows up at your local sorting hub today. But when I worked as a package handler for FedEx, we'd get at least 20 packages every day that came to the wrong hub and had to be sent back out to where they came from to go to the right place. This might've happened to you (probably not, though. 20 packages sounds like a lot, but we'd get 6,000 every day. I'd say that's a pretty low error rate).

I tried to track it on DHL's site and it doesn't show up as a valid ID. NewEgg's tracking says:

10/16/2008 9:39 AM ET RUTHERFORD, NJ, US DEPARTURE ORIGIN DHL GLOBAL MAIL FACILITY

It'd be nice if it showed up today or tomorrow but as long as it's before the 21st I'll be happy. Got Saint's Row 2 to keep me busy.

Yes yes good good. But what do your NON-gamer friends think of it?

Please have your dog play the game and tell us what he thought of it.

I'm really interested to see how the offline co-op works. This could be a lot of fun to play through with my wife.

Didn't get mine yesterday or today so it looks like getting it one week early has become getting it one day early. Maybe. This is why I hate it when NewEgg uses one of these shipping "services." USPS shipping times seem to be based on geography so when NewEgg ships USPS I get my stuff overnight even with super crappy savings shipping. When they use a FedEx or DHL service that says the package will be there in 3-7 days, you can bet it won't be there in 2 days or 1 day. It's like they hold them until day 3 so you pay for faster shipping next time.

Dogs like the dog. Also, steak.

Wow, I don't know if it's just because of where I live, but Newegg uses UPS for everything for me. It's reliable and easy. DHL frightens me, and I used to work at the FedEx hub where my packages came from, so I don't use them if I can avoid it.

Edge gave Fable 2 9/10. They liked the ability to plough your own furrow in the world, and be a tradesman, ruler, adventurer or whatever. They said that the characters and physics feels a bit 'floaty', that the dog clips with you all the time, and that there is texture pop up and the like. I'm hoping that copying the game to my hard drive on the 19th of November will ameliorate that.

For comparison, they have LBP 10/10 and Spore 6 or 7 out of 10 (I can't remember).

Spore 6 or 7/10? Can't trust a source like that, then. That game doesn't even deserve a 1/10.

Hyperbole, a gogo!
