By far.
I didn't think about that, but damn they're delicious.
I will dig out all of them and eat them first.

This reminds me of my secret sin. I will eat everything in a bag of Chex Mix BUT the pretzels, and then leave those for my kids. And then my kids are like "Hey Pretzels! Yum!" They remain unaware that Dad has eaten all the good stuff.

Evil! Maybe I should make a thread about it.

They have a vaguely citrus flavor and they're double wrapped. The outer wrapper is normal, but the inner wrapper is an edible transparent film that melts in your mouth. The film is like those Listerine strips without tasting like Ben-Gay. They're pretty good.

Oh man I remember those from when I was a kid. I would grab those everytime we went to chinatown. (every Sunday)

I love those things. I am gonna go find some of those today.

5 different people sent me a link to this in the span of two days. I'm not entirely sure what that says about me or my friends. But I love the video, too!

I love this. I also think it deserves it's own thread, though, perhaps I'll just send it to the last client who stiffed me instead.

Steel-cut oats make the best oatmeal in the world. The stuff has real flavor and texture, and you can actually chew it. Sure it takes 20-25 minutes to cook, but I cook up a large batch (1 cup of oatmeal which makes 5 cups cooked) on the stove in the same amount of time and have enough for 3 meals.

Don't be fooled by the size of the box it comes in. One box of steel cut oatmeal makes as much as one of those giant packages of the pre-cooked, flaked, and dried stuff.

No comparison to rolled/instant oats. Alton Brown has two great recipes for steel-cut oats: a stovetop recipe and an overnight one for a slow cooker.

Nissan Stainless Steel Briefcase Vacuum Bottle (aka a thermos). Indestructible. Mine's 16oz. and it keeps coffee or tea hot all day. (A $5 long bottle brush makes cleaning very easy.)

A Scottish band called Bis.

The guitar solo on "Flies and Blue Skies" by King's X, from the Dogman album. Very lyrical and melodic - I wish I could come up with stuff 1/2 that good.

Destroying this kid with a clan tag that spelled a racist term on Call of duty 4 while making my coffee before leaving for work.

As the incomparable Yoyoson would say "This thread delivers."

Oh, and my random thing that I love now?
My new elm-handled umbrella from James Smith & Sons, a very unique, family-run shop. Absolutely worth the £40.

Bis is great. Or the last album of theirs I listened to was - it's been a while.

I normally have no love for coffee-flavoured sweets, but Juan Valdez caramelos are ridiculously tasty and addictive, which for something manufactured in Colombia is somewhat suspect.

Actually, if you haven't had these, you've yet to achieve rye chip nirvana:

You, sir, are a scholar and a gentleman and are to be commended for your good deeds.

Dub remixes of anything but particularly digging remixes of GorillaZ and Blur by various dub artists. Oh and the excellent Dub Side of the Moon by the Easy All Stars.

Oh I have, and they're amazing. I think I'm going to go to the store now.

I saw them perform Radiodub (OK Computer dub remixes) a few years ago, it was a really good show.

I love eMusic for their cheap and amazing indie library.

And I love The Visualz Anthology by Siah and Yeshua dapoED--classic NYC indie hip-hop chock full of rich jazz hooks and smart rhymes, previously only on vinyl. The best album I've found online in a long time.

Roasted garlic rye chips, huh? So what are the cylinders that aren't pretzels called? You'd think they'd have a diagram on the back clearly labeling the crap you're eating, like skittles, but nothing doing.

Yup, I even went so far as to look up what stores sell them and the only major place I found was Safeway. Other grocery stores don't have them.

Hummus Masabacha(the 'ch' doesn't have a sound in English it's that h' sound)

IMAGE(http://humus101.com/wp-content/uploads/HalilRamle.jpg)

This one is H'lil's . I know it doesn't look good but it has a taste to die for . Forget the pita I eat this with a fork or spoon. you have to wait half an hour in line to buy it. Any hummus place with good reputation is usually packed at lunch and out of hummus by 2-3pm.

BTW the video I found about how to make it on the internet is BS . they skip an important stage in the end...

I still haven't figured out the recipe but i know the basic steps. All the people that know how to make it keep the recipe a secret and they had years of experience to improve it.

Even my (lack) of self-preservation tells me not to get on one of those. And I've built enough home-made explosives to send a geo metro into a low-earth orbit.

When you do make a human pretzel of yourself, I'll laugh. Just so you know.

I've got a new one to add to the thread: my Ripstik. Yes, yes, it's certain death on two wheels, but I've had more fun cruising around the medical campus on this thing than I would have ever believed. Sure, I got busted by security for riding it in front of the Children's Hospital, but if I'm not going to taunt them with my good health, who is?

Get the DLX if you get one, as it's faster and designed for adults (220lb limit). I've had some incredible "wheee....I'm going to die....wheeeeeee....I'm going to die....wheee!" moments on this board and highly recommend it to anyone with a strong sense of adventurous fun and an atrophied sense of self-preservation.
