It was da Bomb diggity, yo! what? what?
Seriously, though. I kid Rabbit because he is awesome.

And I was just thinking that drunk Lara was more entertaining last week. Either way I do enjoy having a different perspective on the podcast, it's...
wait for it...
I want to know how old Rabbit was in the mid-90s when saying "The Bomb" was relatively cool. It reminds me of when my Dad chooses to use texting terms (e.g. lol, btw) in his e-mails...
Great show this week, guys and gal!

"Lol" and "btw" were text chat terms LONG before they were text messaging terms.

All the DQ9 talk made me go back and continue DQ8. If I had known that the Jessica character would trade in her plain white dress for a low-cut sex-pot outfit, I'd gotten back to this game sooner (or never left). Woah.

Starcraft 2 a flawless launch? Hmm, first time I ran it, black screen only. The second time, no sound. It's the very first program to give me a BSOD in Windows 7. Alt-tabbing out of a game 10 years in development? Too much to ask for, apparently.
Living outside the US means experiencing lag as even un-ranked co-op has to go via Blizzard's server.
Honestly I think there's a little Phantom-Menace-Syndrome going on here.
I haven't played Starcraft since it came out but I feel like after all this time all I've gained is 3d. Would there have been so much excitement over a 3d version of Doom if it were to come out today?
Maybe I'm too demanding - I had some expectation that things might have moved on after games like Company of Heroes and many others.
I don't get that. If you want to play a different game, there are different games. Why would you want Starcraft to be a different game?
I love Starcraft, when it was announced the first thing I said was, 'I hope it's exactly the same game with higher definition graphics.' I got what I wanted and more. I can understand someone not liking the game, it's a tough love. But I can't understand someone wanting it to be a different game.
It's like saying, 'I wish Dragon Age was more like Dungeon Siege.'
I do agree that the launch wasn't flawless though.

Errr it's about evolving. Keeping a common theme, but growing. Hardly a novel concept. Half-life 2, Team Fortress 2, L4D 2, Portal 2. GTA series. Just the tiniest examples of what sequels can be.
Have you played the single player? It's definitely evolved, and it's done so without throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Evolving the mechanics would change the game in a fundamental way. Half Life 2 was still a corridor shooter and didn't evolve much.

I believe they said this week's show would be delayed a day or two. "They" being the conference call from last week.
Podcast goes live tomorrow afternoon. Just this once.

No, it is not too much... for a game this full of awesome. It's like the best of all the NES/SNES RPG elements distilled into a perfect liquor. Then, you get to take shot after shot of it and you never get tired of it. It's has made me drunk with DQIX love! From the story to the game play and to the styling, I can't put it down. I'm tempted to take a sick day tomorrow so I can have sweet, sweet time playing this game.
No gaming until kitties get dinner. This rule shall not be questioned or broken. =^.^=

Thanks. I think I need a game like this on a mobile platform. Now that I have rejoined the workforce it is more amazing than ever the amount of games THE moderater plays while still holding down a 9 to 5. Since my commute home is awful, I envision playing a little DQIX until the traffic gets manageable then drive home.
