College Football 2008 Season Catch-All

2 pages and not a mention of the mighty Gators? For shame!

Gators 2 titles, Alabama 12.

I think the Gators might need a few more titles before getting crowned as "mighty."

Oh sweet, the "WHAT HAVE YOU WON ALABAMA HAS WON SO MUCH JUST NOT SO MUCH RECENTLY BUT OVER THE COURSE OF TIME IF YOU LOOK" 'Bama loving has begun. When will the Army fans show up?

Heh. Nice. I just want to note that I may love me some 'Bama but I'm not the one who started whipping it out and sizing it up. I was in the 'Dome for number 12 and I hope (and believe) to see the Tide get #13 in the next couple years but they've been so... mediocre since about '95 that I keep my campaign positive.

If the Buckeyes that played today show up in LA next week, then USC is going to roll them good.

Pac-10 officiating strikes again! That unsportsmanlike conduct call against Washington was utter bullsh*t and cost them the game. That rule needs to be looked at by the NCAA.

Edit: Wait to go, ECU!

Yikes, USF escaped a close one!

FSU destroys their opponent and racks up almost 600 yards of offense. Good to see the new young QB play well! Hopefully he can continue learning!

they won't be nearly so lucky next week. I'm glad they won, so they don't drop too far before the Jayhawks come to town. Is USF gonna be ready? Kansas defense has yet to give up a TD so far this season.

I'm really looking forward to finally seeing this year's team on national television.

Did they even see what she was doing with her hand?

No major changes at the top in the new polls, though Ohio State drops to fifth on both. East Carolina's on the board after their two straight upsets, at 14th on the AP and 20th on USA Today.

For some unfathomable reason this did not make it into ESPN top 10 plays.

I expect he will be invited to NYC in December.

Yeah, Notre Dame...wins? Sorta. Against SDSU.

I tell you what: it just be that ND sucks (probably at least a little), but SDSU has a hell of a coaching staff. Great calls on offense, and the head coach just seems to be ... right.

Pred, at least you're in NY and only have to read that kind of trash on a message board. In Lower Alabama, you hear it year round, typically from people that couldn't find Tuscaloosa on a map if their government check depended on it.

Well, if we're talking about Alabama fans, then it's time to dust off this video...

I love that video.

/I hate pumpkins

"I'm not a dog person" gets me every single time.

Awesome video *Legion*! I think that so called fan needs his Alabama card revoked because what Bama fan hates ANY other school more than they hate Auburn? I know not. Baffles me to no end. Revoke his card, I say!

Actually, I dislike Tennessee more than Auburn.

That may be but we don't publically say we hate anyone more than Auburn. It would be like a UT fan saying they hated anyone more than Texas A&M. You can think it but certainly don't say it when you are being videotaped ... sacrilege!

I guess it comes down to the fact that folks from Auburn were still Alabamians as opposed to those safety-orange wearing fools from next door. I viewed Auburn as the little brother that you had an intense rivalry with, but it was still in the family. UT, on the other hand, well... I can't really say it better than this.

Then again, what do I know? I'm originally from LSU country so I wasn't dyed in the crimson wool at birth.

Hate of Tennessee is fine, and should be encouraged and the same goes for Auburn, but hate of the Gators should trump all for most SEC fans.

Dude, I believe OU is UT's rival. Seriously....

Beanie Wells now doubtful for the over-hyped OSU/USC match-up on Saturday night. I wonder if that line will get pushed up to 17 in favor of the Trojans as I think it should be.

USF - Kansas Friday night. If USF can get past this game with a win, they may be able to tear up their Big East games and be sitting pretty at BCS time...

That's because the Big East is so weak.

If Kansas pulls off a road win, they are still looking at games with Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Missouri, who are all ranked.

Rock Chalk Jayhawks!!! I've really been looking forward to this game for awhile. Suffice to say it is still a big game for both teams.

Fresno State hosts Wisconsin tomorrow night.

I wish so much that I could've driven back to Fresno to go see the game. I know from my Fresno State email account that they were selling out standing room only tickets. It's supposed to be the largest, most packed-in mass of humanity Bulldog Stadium has ever seen (even more so than when they knocked off Oregon State in 2001)

Great story from the LA Times: Ohio State-USC is big, but Fresno State-Wisconsin is football life altering

Wow, it'll be interesting to see how that one comes out. Exciting opportunity for Fresno. However, as a Wisconsin alum, I gotta' go with the Badgers!

Sure, ND-Mich is irrelevant to the rest of the world, but not to freaking us!

Really looking forward to USC / Ohio St. game tomorrow. I think that Beanie is going to play, and play much more than anyone expects. The lack of information this week from the Ohio st. camp about the situation was staggering. Not even a diagnosis?!? Wow...that's keeping a closed program. Can't say I blame them, but even with Wells, they are going to be forced to go to the passing game to move the ball downfield.

I'll be glad when this weekend is over and ESPN stops playing cuts from the new Metallica album. I'm getting a little sick of it.
