Frontlines: Fuel of War Catch-All (formerly beta thread)

I may have to bite the bullet and grab this anyway. I was waiting for the drop, as I figured it was going to be single player primarily. But if I can count on some multi-player legs, this is worth full price. It really is a fun game to play in multiplayer.

I'll trade/sell my copy if you want it, I'm done with it.

PM sent!

Sith, Jawhawker, I just sent you both friend requests.

Ok, so Frontlines is on its way. I accepted your friend request, Yellow5.

So, are there any Goodjers running squads?

I think I bought mine via Steam. I may have uninstalled it but I would be happy to dl it and fire it up again if they've made some improvements. I loved the game, it just had a number of game breaking issues.

Edit: Boooo, this is 360 only

They really FUBARed the launch on the PC with this one. No punkbuster support so cheating ramped up quickly and the developers slow response in correcting it really killed any momentum this game had. Too bad really as the game had potential for a Thursday night shooter replacement...

I did too, I just don't like playing shooters on a console. If they work out all the bugs and lower the price, I'll probably re-buy it on Steam

I am very curious to see what kind of legs this game has. It had so much going for it, but they dropped the ball in a few key areas. The improvements in communication are key. It was insane that you could not talk to the guy riding in the copter with you if he was not in your squad. By allowing proximity chat and in vehicle chat, it will greatly improve the gaming experience, making it easier to find other cool people.

As it was, you were kind of just playing in a bubble, not talking to anyone, until you joined a squad. But you didn't even know what kind of people you were joining, pubtards, are cool players. Then, since squads couldn't chat, you couldn't coordinate strategies. Squad leader to squad leader chat will be very cool, and if the right mix of people decide to play the game, will greatly enhance the gameplay.

It is too bad they waited so long to fix theses issues. It would almost be worth re-releasing the game with the fixes, and try to get a second launch.

FYI for anyone playing on the xbox, the new free DLC map was just released.

I'm kind of wanting to pick this up for either PC or 360. Is the game now polished up to the point that it's largely frustration-free? Is anyone still playing? Help enable me, Goodjers!

I have it, but haven't been on in a while. Personally, I really love the game.

Man, I wish the 360 demo was still available.

There is a PC multiplayer demo available.

Ah, thanks, that looks like just the thing!

I really like this game, too. Recently, I've been working my way through the single player.

I'll have to grab the new map and give the multiplayer another go soon. The changes in the last update sound interesting.

Well I picked this game up, it was 10 bucks for a copy and i've been wanting to try it

so if anyone wants to play let me know.
