100 shows?! Congratulations, guys! And thanks for entertaining us for such a long time. Without this podcast, I would already be dead.
He did indeed. Incidentally, he has an album for sale.
Congrats on the 100 guys, looking forward to the next 100.

Oh my god! Did my suggestion have anything to do with this?
I'm not sure which of the suggestions was yours (please don't spoil the surprise) but there were 1 or 2 that I already had in the works. Slumberland helped make one possible. Enjoy the show, it was a lot of fun putting together. Oh and I also want to thank, the Lord of Leisure for his contribution to the show. We sat on that for months!

Ken Levine's actually ON the show? That brings the "GWJ Podcast Drinking Game" to a whole new level... ever try to drink every time Eddie Murphy curses on RAW, or every time a body part is severed in Starship Troopers?
I'm one of the few people you'll meet who've written more books than they've read.
Guys, as far as geek novelry goes, you have to check out "The Atrocity Archives" and "Jennifer Morgue" by Charles Stross.
Enjoy

Great podcast, guys! Congratulations on reaching this milestone. Like many other people here, I imagine, I also have fond memories of biking down the corner gas station to sink quarter after quarter into Donkey Kong.

You forgot to link to that author's life you ruined, Rabbit!
Awesome show guys.
Wow, some priceless stuff to digest this week. Good times, good show.
Awesome show you guys! Congratulations!
You may not think its the best book ever Rabbit, but for some of us it is THE book.
Stranger in a Strangeland is simply put my favorite book, I'm lucky if I don't go 3 months without paging through it.
Other books are written with better themes, but nothing resonates with me like that.
On a side note, all the Neal Stephenson's are great, I'm just finishing the baroque cycle, but Snow Crash and Cryptonomicon are my favorites.
And Certis, there is a reason all these crappy or not so crappy conan properties keep getting made. Because it is freaking good.
My personal favorite is the Tower of the Elephant because it embodies the wonder that both the character and the reader feel.

Boogle - I'm right there with you on Stranger, and all the other book stuff.
And thanks for all the well wishes. Doing the podcast remains the highlight of every week for me.

Yeah, great show guys! The difficulty was just right, it had fantastic pace even though the surprise twist in the middle was a little predictable... i mean Rabbit actually being the brainwashed son of Ken Levine was kinda obviou- Oops, should i put spoilers here?
Hope you guys do many more... though it sounds like Ken wants the out-takes back. I endorse this feature

I just read Stranger at the right point in my life for it to really resonate. I have friends who shrug it off as existential wanderings, but I think its great. BOOKS

Very fun reminiscing.
Back when I was a boy, I visited Canobie Lake Park at least 2 or 3 times a summer. It was really cool to have a small-to-medium sized amusement park in my home town. In those sepia-toned days you could visit one of three arcade-buildings.
I remembered Jaws. That and Lunar Lander were in the middle area of the arcade. Remember Gunfight? I recall two block, 4-bit cowboys that shot giant square “dots” across an empty field. That was back in the days just before Intellivision-style colored overlays were all the rage.
These were in the main arcade building where the "cutting edge" games like Dragon’s Lair, Venture and Joust. As you moved toward the back of the building, the smell of mildew and polished wood increasing with every step, were the old games like what you fellow old-timers were discussing.
Or that pneumatic-mechanical game of baseball? You shot little steel balls toward the other end of the field past wooden player cutouts. Or the game (whose name I can't remember) that didn’t technically have a score – there were no points to accrue. You just had to keep the ball in play indefinitely. I’m sure it’s a metaphor or something. Things like that are always chocked full of metaphors.
Good times. Thanks for a stroll down the past that made me feel slightly less than old. That TMNT was an early game for someone who’s not 16-to-18 still gives me chills. It’s not you – it’s me, I swear.
great show guys.. my secret shame would have to be Tribes 2. Probably my favorite game of all time.
Awesome 100th episode, guys! Slumberland knocked one out of the park. And it's always great to hear Levine.
