Official Age of Conan Wiccana - PvE

Kool!!!

I'll see you guys tonight.

I don't think the 'Apply to Guild' button is broken. It got me in this weekend.
The SEARCH seems to have rules in place to exclude rather than include.

So:
I did it with 1 to 999 players.
1 to 80 levels.
And I did see Legion of the Broken Oar.

But when I had the search set to too few users (and too low a level, too) - it filtered out LotBO.

And it didn't give me any warm fuzzies when I clicked the apply button, but I got in, all the same. I think it was Mynari that opened the door for me.

People have joined the guild with levels below 5. So I don't think level 5 is a requirement.

lvl 5 is to use the apply to feature

pre 5 it has to be manual

I will have to do a search again tonight when i get home from work but was not able to see Legion of the Broken Oar. once again my name in game is Stolyassa so if someone could throw me an invite that would be awesome. Im usually home late around midnight after work so hopefully someone is on a somewhat similar schedule and can get me in.

I started a new toon last night - Echo, conqueror - so will apply to the guild next time I'm on. Got my assassin up to 21, but it's been a b**ch to solo that class in Stygia, so I'm going to try something new.

Still haven't thrown in the towel, Slambie? That's great! I might have to start an alt if they don't get the Ranger sorted out or if I can't find a decent respec of some sort.

Hellos. If any of yall WoW'd on Frostmane horde, this is Softserv. I'm a friend of Grumpicus irl. I picked up AoC over the weekend and I'm liking it so far. Since I have more AoC questions than Grumpicus has answers, he suggested that I look into joining the GWJ guild.

Since I don't see a guild application form, I'll just make up my own.

Character Name: Cheops
Level: 18ish
Class: Herald of Xsomething
Race: Stygian
Server: Wiccana

Talent Spec: Ones that give my weapon a fire proc

Previous Guild(s): Udder Mookkake, Schism, Duskwood Surprise, Sin City Horde

Raid experience: AQ40, Naxx, Duskwood

How reliably can you be on every night?: Not very reliably

Why do you want to join LotBO?: For guild chat, to find the occasional group, to check out PvP, to ask questions like what IS the difference between +defense and +heroic defense, etc...

Everything else you can find in spades here. This type of question is unknown, and some ponder if FC even knows because as of now they're not saying.

Well at this point a lot of the questions are unanswered for the most part. No idea what heroic defense does, are stats working and if so how effective are they, how does the hate system work in relation to the supposed hate increasing/reducing talents, why does hide suck a majority of the time even on lower level mobs but work so well other times in the same set of cirumstances, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? The world may never know.

Posting a quick vouch for Ozymandias/Cheops. He's good people; please get him an invite/let him in when you get the chance. Thanks.

Well I used to be with GWJ back in the day on Blackhand before we jumped over to BoV. I'm playing a Guardin name Drex. I'm on the same server as y'all and I'd love to hook up with ya. Mynari is a buddy via the original GWJ on Blackhand and now with BoV.

Is there some spanking required or the like to joining up with you guys?

Drex is a ninja...true story!

Good to see ya you horde bastard

Aside from my fantastic spelling....yes I am a Ninja. Broodlords Head = Mine...Ooops. Not any worse than Slambie taking a stroll to get a closer look at Vael....oh the BWL days. So much fun.

I have to say I'm getting a bit lost on the quests. Still haven't found the trade skill quest giver dudes....walking around blind at the moment.

Same thing happened to me at 20. I was really feeling like a small spec when I first got to the big city after Tortage. Best advice I can give is to run all over creation picking up any quests you see and from there just follow the quest markers around on your minimap.

As Bear said, the gathering quests can all be picked up Potain. They can also be picked up in either of the two other gathering zones (Purple Lotus Swamp and Lacteish Plains).

It is nice to see such a large number of players. I logged on last night to about 30 people online, that makes me happy.

I got to say that this server ha s A LOT more people in the guild than out PvP server. I just recently switched over and was kind of shocked.

Does wired have a strict no coffee grinder G invite rule?

No I do not have anything close to that as rule.

Middle of the week seems slow for us, but closer to the weekends we're around 30-40 online most of the time.

Almost all of them are in Potain.

Carebears tend to group together in the wild, it increases their chances for survival.

I thought that was the PVP survival technique. Go out in groups or hide under a shrub.

I can go to a mountain peak and admire the view for as long as I like without worrying about some jerk kicking me off with his horse

Oh yeah... well... You do not have, err, get to listen to Bear nightly in vent.

I grew up on a farm, I was well aware of the peril of walking behind a horse.

Here's another pro tip: never walk behind a cow when it's going to the bathroom. If said cow coughs it has the potential to turn into a scene from the Exorcist (except it's manure that's flying across the room).

"I'm a sticking with my Conqueror tonight"
"Ya know, I think I'll play my Guardian"
"God Guardian's take forever to kill anything"
"Screw melee, I'm leveling a Ranger"
"God Rangers SUCK, I'm rolling a PoM"
"I think I'll stick with my Conqueror"

Are you telling me that gets old? That's quality stuff right there, people spend years in college studying psychology and never get to experience psychosis like this first hand.

Hiya folks, hadn't posted on the forums yet.

Ahoy peoples. I am Namah in guild. Have been playing AoC since launch day but have been looking for the right server. Darm dragged me over here with some other WoW-ers from The Newbian Institute on Dark Iron.

Say "bye bye Hyborian Age"

After about 10 days of blue screens , 4fps frame rates and random lockups and crashes I call it quits. My main gaming PC, a year old hp9000 laptop with 2 gigs RAM and a 512 Geforce go 7600 is unable to play the game. I will have to wait a few months until I can put together a decent gaming rig and try it again.

The real shame is when I picked up Mass Effect for the PC and it flat out told me in the config section that I must update my video driver. Unfortunately all the drivers are now written for Vista which I refuse to upgrade to. Took me the whole weekend to figure that out.

AOC was pretty much the blood filled funfest you all said it was. After Middle Earth, Hyboria was my next favorite place for heroic fantasy. Oh well maybe later.

Nvidia writes all their drivers for XP and Vista, so I don't know why you think they only make Vista drivers. Updated video drivers definately can make a diffference. I don't know what your processor is, but try to disable shadows and turn some options down.

Hi all, Frolic in the boards and Frolic in AoC.

Group with me if you are bored. You probably won't die, but if you do it will be in an interesting manner.

Just saying hi to all now that people are becoming more familiar to me. In-game I am Haruspex, superior ranger of the North ... or West. Well, right now I'm just Haruspex I guess

I'm buying this today after work and plan on playing on this server - is there anywhere I can see the Vent information or is that close-hold until you get to know me (which is completely fine).

There is a Vent info sticky in the games forum.
