Ninja Gaiden II, Dragonball Z Burst Limit, Umbrella Chronicles, The Big Rest-of-2008 Preview, A New Audio Sponsor, Your Emails and more!

Say, he did the music too ... that guy gets around.

To contact us, email [email protected]! Send us your thoughts on the show, pressing issues you want to talk about or whatever else is on your mind. You can even send a 30 second audio question or comment (MP3 format please) if you're so inclined.

I was waiting for that.

Wow, I sincerely apologize for unwittingly inspiring a Yackov Smirnoff joke. I don't know if I can ever live that one down...

No, no, it's cool so long as you realize that the joke itself is to be ridiculed then it becomes funny.

In Soviet Russia, joke ridicules you.

... I suck.

Second D&D table dibs at GenCon!

I know it's a huge burdeon but I think we'd have a bunch of happy Goodjers if you ran another module. I'm sure I'd learn a lot.

I won't pressure for a second table, but I'm certainly willing to join the fray.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, inspiringsn. I can live with that. I think it's all part of being in the gwj'er community. I'm just doing my part - sometimes you're the hero, sometimes you're the comic relief. Sunrise, sunset and all that.

As games we're being mentioned various hosts would responded with, "That's on my list," or, "That's my 2." Instead of going back through the podcast to write down all of these and then sort them in the right order, could the lists be posted?

Make it so!

Sean was the only one with a top 5 list. I think he said Brett Favre Presents: Madden 09 was #1, right?

My top 5 list
#1 - Fallout 3
#2 - Spore
#3 - Wrath of the Lich King (a man can dream)
#4 - Left 4 Dead
#5 - The Force Unleashed

I see a distinct lack of stalker clear sky. In the future nuclear apocalypse, you and your spawn shall be shunned.

Oops. I thought I heard at least two people refer to their lists.

That's a good list. Though, looking at your number one, Left4Dead doesn't start with an F. Common spelling mistake. No biggie.

Where did all of the Playstation controller hate come from?

Years of using an inferior controller.

For FPS games? The PS3 controller is workman-like, but not great. I think that's the context I brought it up in.

Winner.

I like the Playstation controller. But I have those small Asian hands. It is a bit marginal for FPS, but I like it a lot more for third person and jumping games.

No hate from me this week.

Good stuff over all.

I can't say that anything that is on the list really is revving my engine...my Horde toon is too low to participate in Wrath of the Lich King shenanigans.

I don't have a Fallout background, so I can't succumb to nostalgia. It's just another game to me.

Left4Dead is intriguing if you can get past the dumb numbers in the title, but it is Valve, so if it garners favorable buzz around here, I will conform.

I don't really get what Spore is all about as a game. Seems more like spending hours creating D&D characters. Yeah, I get there is supposed to be the ability to go to other "planets", maybe do some RTS type thing...I think most people are going to be playing with the creature creator like Impossible Creatures.

Ah well, I have a backlog of games, UT3 for the 360 is out in a few weeks, and I'll pick up Gears 2 when it releases. More than enough to keep me entertained through the winter.

Episode 90!!!!! Damn how the time flies by when your having fun!

More or less, that's how I've looked at the PS controllers from day one. They're just good enough to get the job done, but not inspired. Like the little hand nubs, they were never big enough to wrap my hands around comfortably. I always felt their competition did at least one thing better each generation.

Note: Rock Band 2 is now my #3 and moves everything else down 1.

Isn't it basically the same game in non-DLC content form? I don't think you're allowed to substitute DLC for a game

Not at all from what I've been reading. It allows you to play your Rock Band DLC, but it's also hinting at a lot of interesting features missing from the previous game. While details are pretty sketchy at this point, I would have to be be convinced _not_ to buy RB2 rather than the other way around.

Yeah, i wasn't beimg serious. At this point in time i'm glad that i missed out on RB so i can enjoy RB2.

I wonder if Rock band 2 will also require new instruments? I haven't seen any mention of that around the internet yet.

The old instruments will work, but the game will also ship with improved hardware. So you have your pick, which is just great customer service.

Is there a full list of all the games mentioned somewhere? I was listening to the podcast this morning on the drive in and there were three games I wanted to write down so I could remember to track them...but now I can't remember what they were anymore (and, as much as I love the show, I don't really want to listen to the whole thing again...)

Eek. You mean, games from the games you can play now section? Or that we just maybe randomly mentioned?

Oops! I meant the whole "this game is coming in July, this one in August, these are just listed as coming in Q4."
