I can't wait to hear how bad Burst Limit is!

Hey, it's not terrible! Definitely aimed towards 12 year olds, though.

New blood? Is this the return of the Lord of Leisure to the podcast? Or will more reclusive voices be given mic time... dun dun dunnnnnnn.

Never?

Hey, you want a new face? Give me a couple of weeks and I'll be free for an intellectual discussion on the finer points of gaming...

Crysis Warhead follows the exploits of another character from Crysis on the other side of the Island. I think you'r basically experiencing the same events from a different perspective.

Fable 2. Can players have sex with each other? That'd be interesting but i wonder if it'll really be in... Oh and Sean, if you were the woman, my life experience tells me that the man is usually the Female Doggo... don't know if it makes a difference if it's already built into the psyche of the person - regardless of gender - though....

During your Fall Gaming Preview, you failed to mention a couple of games that are being released in August which I, personally, am very excited about: Tales of Vesperia for Xbox 360, and Samba de Amigo for Nintendo Wii. I'm particularly excited about Samba-- it was fun as hell back in the Dreamcast days, but so few gamers ever got the chance to play it. Now, with the popularity of both the Wii and of rhythm games, it's the perfect time for a revival of this classic.

My favorite part was when Rob corrected Shawn for saying "Valkyria," when that's actually what it's called.

Dude, we've got a thread for this. Also, NSFW tag.

Sounds like Julian accidentally opened a bottle of nitrous oxide when Rob talked about color palette.

Edit: "In Soviet Russia, games buy into you!"

I believe the FPS Command and Conquer game you are thinking of is: C&C:Renegade

One game I'm looking forward to in September is DeBlob on the Wii, but I'm not expecting too much from it. It'll probably end up better than I expect that way.

Is it too late to call that orphan copy of Dragonball Z for the PS3? Send it to me, I'll give it a good home. Button mashers are my specialty.

Rabbit said he was only kidding about wanting it, right?

Thanks for giving us a rundown of the cool stuff coming out in the rest of this year. Personally I've been really thrilled with the way this year has been playing out, especially compared with last year. Sure the Holiday season of 2007 was about the best we've ever seen, but there was a crazy long summer drought. I feel like so far this year has seen a consistent flow of exciting releases, and the rest of the year looks to keep up that momentum (with the possible exception of July).

Shame on you all for not mentioning Dawn of War 2!

No-one bothered about Tomb Raider Underworld? I didn't like the series at all until CD took over and gave it an actual control scheme, now it's one of my most anticipated titles for the end of the year.

My two I'm excited for:
Fallout 3
and Stalker Clear Sky.

Here is some info on the NWN2 expansion Storm of Zehir.

Kevin Saunders: That’s true – Lead Designer Tony Evans has taken Storm of Zehir in a more non-linear direction than previous Neverwinter Nights games. In that regard, SoZ is more similar to a game like Fallout - there’s a plot and objectives, but you’re free to explore the game world however you wish.

Sounds good to me I hope they pull it off..

Good call Edwin! Give me some DoW2! Thank god Relic still makes PC games.

Gaald, I do know the feeling (finishing a game you hate). Sometimes you just want to at least get some sense of achievement for all the pain you've forced yourself to suffer. In for a penny, in for a pound.

The discussion of the unlockables and tweaks in the TF2 pyro pack was inaccurate in a few places. I know it came out recently, so I don't necessarily expect people to know the ins and outs by heart... but just FYI, regular TF2 players who enjoy GWJ might be cringing at the misinformation!

-- The Axtinguisher is not insta-kill -- just critical hits for people on fire.
-- The Backburner gives +50 max health, automatically crits when attacking from behind, but loses the air blast.
-- Is the Flare Gun "useless" against Engineer buildings? I'm pretty sure it still damages them a little at a time...
-- The Medic's unlockables were updated (post-Pyro pack, so even more recently!) so that you no longer need to get all the Medic achievements to obtain the upgraded weapons.

Also, no love for the new maps? I haven't done much on CP_Fastlane, but CTF_Turbine is a great small map.

Shounen Jump, eh? *snicker*

Too bad about E3. If only you guys had a local to go in and look around... Seriously though, GenCon is starting to sound damned tempting. The Goodjers are gonna roll in double-wide.

If you guys end up at ComicCon, you should try to get a sit-down with the guys at The Behemoth (or maybe even look up the guys at Mega 64). Hell, you could probably visit High Moon Studios and laugh at their Bourne Conspiracy crapola.

Just to clarify, your email address is [email protected], correct?

I wasn't sure if I misheard.

EDIT: Oops, just read the show description. Whatafool I am.

new maps are a solid Meh... We've had Turbine on Stan's for quite awhile now and not really considered new. Fastlane everyone is still trying it out and it seems split on people liking/not liking.

It's only funny if you remember the thousand times I've been accused of being a Japanophobe. Shonen Jump is like the perfect surfboard for riding the milk-skim thick waves of Japanopop.

iPhone and iPod Touch games will work on both 3G and legacy iPhones and iPod Touches.

Yeah, I'm not totally down with Fastlane so far, but I played Turbine sometimes before it was added to the official roster and enjoyed it quite a lot (so I saw it as a welcome addition, especially because it's so compact). To each his own, I guess.

Yeah I realized after everything was edited that there were a couple of errors, but they weren't that far off. Like I said I didn't get any of the unlocks myself and all I had to go on was what I could remember of what people were saying in game.

I also didn't get a chance to play fast lane, and we have had turbine on the server for a while now.

Tragically the long list of games coming soon, have to say: not that interested in a lot of them, even Spore has been off the list of games for me as well, I have read some articles about it but it doesn't excite me, not in the way Starcraft 2 does for instance. That game of course I'm wanting because of story etc. that we have come to expect from Blizzard, but also Burnout: Paradise is coming to PC and I'm looking forward to that more. Fallout 3, doesn't get me because I never got the first game in terms of play and therefore my impression is have a look but only if I've had enough looking at my elbows. Weird....

And no love for Duke Nukum Taking forever? Shame on you all

EDIT: That also reminds me, I need to get back onto TF2 dammit! Though my net connection where I'm currently staying is a bit rubbish. Wish I could play at work: 100MB pipe to internet. Nice.

Thank you!

Yep, I was surprised that there was no mention of Tales game... especially when there was a brief talk about cel-shaded games.

Also, there is a demo of Tales of Vesperia on Japanese xLive Marketplace... I download it but yet to play it.

I second that! Legend was loads of fun! I'm playing Anniversary on my wife's PSP, but I think I am going to have to get it for the 360. The PSP doesn't quite do it justice.

CivRev is going to be a day one purchase for me, in that I will be getting it for my daughter's birthday. She fell in love with the demo. She has a DS, but I am still thinking of getting for the 360. Any thoughts?

Pacman is to Pacman C.E. as Space Invaders is to Space Invaders Extreme.

Second D&D table dibs at GenCon!

I know it's a huge burdeon but I think we'd have a bunch of happy Goodjers if you ran another module. I'm sure I'd learn a lot.

Just a heads-up to the people following Underworld. 1-UP are having a 'cover week' on the game and the franchise this week. It's pretty cool so far.
