Foiled! But that's alright. The gold probably makes the chocolate taste awful.

Congrats, Montalban. Your entry is great and standing applause worthy. You'll have to take my word on the latter part.

Sweet and to the point. Good Show!
Loved the Defcon thing. I really need to play that game again sometime.

Goods delivery confirmed.

Rob - I loved your Defcon bit, but if you feel depressed by always having to make those bits "moody," maybe you should try one with some brighter fare such as Katamari Damacy.

I love me some SWAT 4. And yes, we need to get back into DEFCON.

But most of all... Can I be in the Control Point TF2 rematch? Please? I was over on CP's servers over the weekend and on every match I played I was in the top 3.

I'd never seen or used the image gallery pop-up app, before. Well done, whoever coded/stole that.

Short/sweet and the best Agency info i've come across yet. Thanks!

Hooray for another nice, short podcast!

Only 15 minutes left, and I haven't come across anything to gripe about yet. Woo!

How come when I downloaded it last night, it gave me last weeks?

Cause I screwed up. Fixed it within about 10 minutes, but you'll need to re-update if your itunes grabbed it before I got it sorted out.

Good show. Dense, considering the length. More Ken Levine is always a good thing. And I didn't really understand what the deal with The Agency was until listening to this. The whole operatives-as-a-levelling/gear-mechanic thing seems unique and interesting. Hopefully they can nail the core fps gameplay.

Yay! I got a podcast mention, albeit not by name. It totally makes pissing off Rob and his team by preemptively "attacking" Rob (to be fair, it was 5 ships, and they weren't going to do any significant damage) and getting hosed later in the game worth it.

Very cool show. And yeah, that Defcon bit was really good and really wants me to play that game with people again.

I really liked tihs episode, not that I don't love em all. !Stop trying so hard.

Awesome! Can't wait to start manipulating, backstabbing and deposing all my friends so that they never want to play another game with me ever again.

Thanks to Michael Zenke as well as the podcast crew! Those envelopes in no way full of cash that I promised you will be in the mail shortly.

Just need to listen to the podcast now...

Make sure you PM me your mailing address!

You guys like the clip-style show? Not to say we'd do it all the time, but occasionally we toy with the idea of recording things throughout a given week rather than just one shotting the whole thing.

What pops to mind for me for some reason is a vision (err hearing) of Zack & Wiki where Wiki keeps ringing and yelling his ZAAACCCKKKUUUUU!! line like when you get revived in the game and you keep getting more annoyed at it. Antics, including but not limited to shouting and violence ensue.

Ok so I had a decent post up before, but the internet here went down and I lost it. That's a quick version of it.

Hehe, well, if Rob ever gets out of the "gaming biz" he could always get work as a phone sex operator.

"I wanna friend you up!"

Honestly, I wasn't that crazy about Julian's interview. It was a good interview, but it felt like the kind of thing I'd hear on Major Nelson's podcast. I greatly prefer the more casual interviews you do, the Ken Levine clip was a perfect example of that, because it doesn't come across as straight marketing speak.

Really, I liked this one.
All the interviews/guest shows have been great.
I really don't mind the clips either. The music makes a nice transition.

I think the idea of a clip-show being a breather works pretty well. There's always the chance you'll squirrel something away for future use (either due to space or because it doesn't match the tone of the show, etc).

However, I think the clips sound a bit disjointed. It reminds me more of something you'd see on TV, or one of those filler-style Simpsons episodes that amounts to "remember when X did Y". Part of the appeal of the regular podcast is the sense that you guys are (more or less) sitting around and just chatting for an hour or two. Even though you've got topics you want to discuss, it still flows together very well.

Nice DEFCON piece. I'm so going to use some of it over Vent when we play Sins again. Nothing like a little narrative to add some flavour to an invading fleet!

I like the idea of a clip-sized show, but I wanted a proper show to follow up the seemingly half-lost Jeff Green show.

I prefer the full-length shows. They're more cohesive because the conversation flow evolves during the show. Today's show (while i appreciate it being here at all!) just didn't have that.

I also prefer longer shows of 1-2 hours though i realise that perhaps it's difficult for you guys to get them in every week.

Think of the question a little differently. Would you prefer this or no show at all on such a week. Every now and again the moons align such that we have to take a week's hiatus, and I think we're wondering if this kind of show is more appreciated than a week of dark.

A small show is easily better than no show, especially with Rob's awesome little audio bits and Ken Levine (he's so dreamy).

There's no question that any show is preferable to no show. I'd like to suggest an "Elysium Sings" episode, in which our bearded entertainer croons such hits as "I Wanna Friend You Up" while preparing a various assortment of omelettes.

One week i'd love to see the show link download the start as a 'Rick Roll'... that'd be hilarious as long as the rest of the show followed

I'd like to point out I totally forgot to include a musical note for the music I used in the Defcon piece I did. I would like to thank Workbench for another great tune! The link is now included in the notes for the show.

Guilty as charged. That was an edit of how I normally do an interview when I'm doing background for a story (and farming for quotes). Most of the time it's not worth cutting into something podcastable, but I thought that one was interesting. Recording as part of a group podcast is totally different (and better).

I just heard the interview, it was good, I think.
