Madden 2007, The Hidden, Corporations, Games And YOU, Demi's Report From PAX, Neverwinter Nights 2, Sam & Max, Forum Topic of the Week and more!

He tells all about his hands-on time with Neverwinter Nights 2, Sam & Max, bear-like game journalists and more! We also discuss our relationship with corporations, what we've been playing and our very first audio mail. All this plus the excellent music stylings of Ian "Podunk" Dorsch!

Read on for some links to what we're talking about and how to contact the show.

I just want to point out that I made a mistake on the show, Ninety Nine Nights is made in Korea, not Japan.

I would just like to point out our first audio e-mail kicked ass. It brings a smile to my face everytime I hear it!

Thanks to all those who listen, I hope you enjoy the show.

Was the site down for couple of hours?

Was for me. I certainly couldn't get here.

I ALMOST DIED

I can never get in before 9 AM anyways but yea it wasn't working for me either.

Thanks for having me on, guys. I'll try to sound less dead next time. Three days of PAX with little sleep and lots of Bawls will make anyone sound like they've been hit by a Mack truck.

I wonder sometimes...I wonder.

I've been getting intermittent MySQL errors from the host all day, usually exceeding max_connections.

Me too. It was horrible.

Yeah, some hiccups today, we're working on it.

CLEAN THE TUBES!

Another great episode, guys. Hurrah for Hidden! We need to get another Hidden night in sometime.

How long is the episode supposed to be? Mine cuts off at 81:35, and I still haven't heard Demi's PAX report.

hmm. It's not showing up on Itunes for me...

That's weird, Winamp was showing 81:35, but cutting off much earlier. I had to DL it three times before I got the complete show.

I have a few podcasts that refuse to update through itunes once in a while if I don't re-add them from scratch.

I almost wonder if the site being down throughout the day has had some effect, hard to say since the files are hosted off-site.

I wouldn't trust the file if you were trying to download it through GWJ itself today as the site has been going down a lot. I downloaded the episode through itunes and it seems to play fine.

Hrmm... but the file isn't hosted here, it's hosted at gameguru...

Good show!

Both you and Certis are correct, the only thing I can think of is that Guru's server was also having problems. I really don't know why people are getting bad files. I downloaded the file through Itunes myself when it first came out and everything worked like a charm. I played the file using several programs just to check too and I had no issues.

I would suggest trying to download the file again if the version you have didn't play all the way through. Sorry about the problems, and I hope everyone is able to get a good working copy. File size should be 56 megs or more acurrately 57,375 KB

Obisidian "bashing" Bioware over NWN1? Will wonders never cease?

Good show as always. You old timers and your Female Doggoin' about dying and "save points" and such. You all probably thought Ninja Gaiden Black was too hard too, didn'tcha! DINCHA!

Sissies.

Yes, it was hard. Stupid game..

How dare you... Sir, I say Sir, I challenge you to a duel! Katanas at dawn?

It took me almost 3 months of relatively regular play to beat it on hard. (70% of that time was stuck on Alma on hard). But I did it! Worship me!

We have seen episodic content before, albeit in a particularly obscure game. In the early days of freeloader.com, they had an episodic Wing Commander style came called Halcyon Sun. The devs released one mission every few weeks, and although it wasn't particularly groundbreaking in a graphical or narrative sense, it was episodic content far before Valve started bandying the term about.

You all probably thought Ninja Gaiden Black was too hard too, didn'tcha! DINCHA!

According to our review, that's exactly what we thought. Dumb, annoying game.

Clearly you aren't Ninja material. I hear Barbie's horse adventures is backwards compatible!

Dude, you are such a snob. Ninja Gaiden is a great game, but you have to admit it's pretty dumb how brutal it is. Now you have to beat Devil May Cry 3 on hard. Then maybe, maybe I'll be impressed.

Ninja Gaiden in not that hard... as people make it out to be. Yes it's chalanging... but also fair since the game provide you with all the tools to deal with the enemies.
