What do those crescent moon & tree car decals mean?

So, I'm driving into work today and I see like 5 cars with crescent moon & tree decals on their back windows. Out of curiousity I'm trying to figure out the meaning of that symbology but I keep finding a lot of crazy material that doesn't add up.

Anyone know what it actually stands for? I was thinking it may be related to Wicca or some other religion.

Sure it wasn't just the flag of South Carolina?

Like these? As PurEvil said, it's just a representation of the South Carolina flag.

Probably a show of solidarity to keep South Carolina free of the evil North's influence. You have heard about North Carolina's bid to take over the South? It's been all over the news. I hear after they do that, Puerto Rico becomes a state so we don't have to change all the US flags.

Wow, zombie bird hunting. That's hardcore.

You're kidding me... No, guess your not. Hmmm, interesting, especially since I live in Ohio. Thanks for the info.

Heh... I lived in SC for 3 years. Hard to forget that symbol. As you can imagine, it's everywhere.

I've seen a decent number of them up here around DC too.

The crossed Crescent and Tree is the mark of the new Envirocommunist movement.

I imagine there's a fair number of Ohioans (?) that vacation in SC. Maybe it's just a memento. I have a KW sticker for Key West on my car and a Conch Republic keychain. It means nothing more than I love to go to Key West whenever possible.

It's for their own good. They're barely civilized down there. Driving home from Florida last Saturday, we could barely go 5 minutes between inexplicable congestion on the SC stretch of I-95. I mean, come on. It was the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, Green Jihadists, probably.

Yea, I heard about them. They hit my neighbors yard with a dandelion bomb.

I think people are getting them while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. Sort of the South Carolina equivalent of those OBX decals.

My guess? You're seeing a bunch of Davidson fans driving through to watch their Cinderellla team play in the sweet 16 in Detroit.

I bet if you look closely on your commute tomorrow you'll see some North and South Carolina license plates.

The South is rising again?

Good call Trophy Husband.

They have money, though. They can fly.

Beat me too it. Oddly, I haven't seen any, although I don't suppose getting off I-75 so close to Detroit would be common.

Its the Afrika Corp! Someone call the Rat Patrol.

Is it only me or does anyone else find a disturbing semiotic similarity between that and this:

Ohh, that's why I was thinking of Indiana Jones when I saw the flag. It's not just you.

No, it's only you. And Mr Crinkle, too.

Freaking nazis.

Except for the whole genocide, foreign invasions, and police state stuff, the nazis were pretty metrosexual.

They did have snappy uniforms...

If you're living in Southern Ohio, there's this weird kind of exchange with Charleston, SC and Central Kentucky. Tons of people going there for vacations and many ex-Kentuckians living in Charleston too. The concentration here in Lexington KY is pretty strangely high.

It's true. Everyone from up there comes down here and tells us how to do things.

For some odd reason, this topic reminds me of the New Nebraska Network. Gee, I wonder where they got their logo from?
