It doesn't appear to have gone anywhere... which means I'll take care of it. It won't be fancy real-time, AJAX
.

If you know of someway to download it from there, or anywhere else, I'm all ears.
No, I am a luddite in manners of programming and database management. I'd be featured in one of those Dilberts as a clueless boss giving directives that make no sense.

Here's the thing: I'd  to write it, with fancy real-time AJAX. I just haven't answered because I don't know how much time I have these days.
Damn you, bagga! Get your priorities straight!
Oh, and when do you want to play?
I'm back and ready to play. A draft league sounds great, I also think a snake draft if the only way to do it. I also think because it's a new Idea, you should put all the players new and old into a hat and decide the order make a fresh new start for everone. Let's just have fun.
I manually copy/pasted/scrubbed the data from the website. I've got it in XLS and tab-delimited format. I've also just now published it on Google Docs.
Edit: I also just made an XML version.
I am new to the site but would like to join the league if there is a spot open. It is fair to say that I am horrific at the game, but I enjoy a good challenge.

Be good to have you, Ertic. If you've been around the site a bit, you'll see we're interested in fair play and fun...generally light on the cheesy side. (Yes, I'm looking at whoever three three flea flickers against me in one half - even if only one of them connected...whoever that was.)
And, about skill level -- well, I suck, too. So you'll have some company!
Well I believe option one is the safer bet from what you yourself are saying. If you are willing to run the draft, and deal with the potential headaches, then by all means lets get the show on the road.

keep it simple. async.
A spreadsheet sounds like a fine idea. A person makes a pick, writes the name of their pick in their column and then erases the player or puts a check mark next to the taken player. We'd just need to have some number to advance, to show that each player has made their draft pick. A check next to each person's name for each round?
I'm in!
I think doing the draft through Google docs is good. I also think we should set up a thread for people to post their picks, as it will make it easier to follow who's turn it is, and when they need to pick.
I am hoping to get in if you folks have room

I'm in all we need to do is set up a draft, is make list of all players in the game. Then pick a day meet up on X-Box messenger to do the draft. This way each person can see the players and make there team as we draft. When a player is drafted you just scratch that person from the list. Then if you see somone has been drafted a second time tell the person. When the draft is over each person should be responsible, for putting there team roster on the sight this will also help in the case of somone getting picked a second time. Remember it's only 11 players per team so it should go fast. Welcome to the league and site ertic look foward to playing you one day.
If we could get 10 (or however many we end up with) all together and do the draft, that would be great. But I really doubt we will be able to schedule it that easily. I think if we do it via the thread, we can get the draft done in a couple of days.
Personally, I have a pretty open schedule right now, so I will do whatever we need to get the draft done.
Me! In!

It'd be hard to identify a time to sit and wait through a draft given family and work commitments.
