Is that a choke in that barrel? If so, WHY?

I dunno, it's just one of the first good pictures I found.

Favorite line of the whole movie, except game over, "This girl survived months here with those things."

"Why don't we put her in charge!"

The way he says that makes it my favorite quote in the movie.

Yup, if they do 4-8 man co-op right, It'll be freaking awesome. Even better if there are some APC levels and maybe even the drop ship.

OOH, OOH, maybe one guy can be the LT in the APC, watching through the helmet cams and giving orders!!!

"SAY AGAIN, ALL AFTER INCINERATOR!!"

Maybe a MP mode like zombies, but with the aliens.

Man, in my imagination, this game is the best ever!

Fixed.

Thanks Shih, I totally meant that I'd like to play an action/combat game as a pacifist android filled with yogurt.

Well, we don't know if he's a pacifist. He did drive the APC and dropships which had some weapons on it.

He was incapable of hurting humans, at least.

Aliens aren't humans. Lock and load, Bishop!

He was incapable of hurting humans, at least.

Yeah, but if it were impossible for him to harm or by omission of action, allow to be harmed, a Xenomorph, then we'd have problems.

Sure, he was offed well before his time, but consider the potential of his predecessor.

Possibly the best movie compliation ever.

edit* sh*t, sorry, NSWF language, sorry, sorry.

I smell a sequel!

You know, out of both AvP games, the only time I felt any sort of tension was as a Marine. As a Predator, you didn't really worry since you could kill anything and as an Alien, you were more frustrated than scared. But as a Marine, with the motion tracker constantly beeping, the ammo gauge counting down during a firefight, and the constant fear that a face-hugger was going to land right on your face, you had to constantly be on guard.

More news!

4 player co-op confirmed. The game will be written by Battlestar Galactica writers Bradley Thompson and David Weddle. Due late 2008.

Hot damn.

Hopefully we get a standup fight and not just another bug hunt.

Guess we'll see what it looks like at E3.

Sounds promising so far. I drip with anticipation of further details.

Some penecillin should clear that up.

They also wrote all the good episodes of Deep Space Nine and one of them even co-wrote a novel. Hot dayum indeed.

Kotaku posted a new preview of the Gearbox Aliens game with screenshots....

Sweet Jeebus that looks and sounds AWESOME! The barricade with turrets idea sounds pretty damn cool, and it looks like the game is coop friendly.

They're coming outta the walls. They're coming outta the goddamn walls, we're f*cked!

What do you mean *THEY CUT THE POWER*?

How could they cut the power, man?! They're animals!

There's a big preview in one of the last month's gaming magazines. I think EGM. Looks and sounds pretty damn sweet.

I have a co-worker whose last name is 'Gorman.' He really is an asshole, and he knows it. In the good way.

He's coming in. I feel safer already.

Yes!

No!

Maybe!

I was dead at the time!

Has anyone else had an 'alien attack' in the past few days? I realized that I hadn't watched Alien or Aliens since... hmm, maybe the late 90's. I watched 'Alien' for the first time since probably .. 92 or so, and found that it held up quite well. I never saw Alien3, but I remedied that last night. It was actually better than I expected; based on a lot of the comments I expected an absolute desecration, but I had a good time with it. For some reason it felt more like a Candyman movie than an Alien movie, but I still enjoyed it.

Aliens: Collector's edition (or special edition, or director's edition, or whatever it's called) is on the way from Netflix, going to watch that one tomorrow. ^.^

Oh.. the game, yes, I hope they implement a good single-player mode with an interesting story and some good scares. That is all.

Alien 3 is the best of the bunch, do not listen to the heretics.

Sweet jesus I need this game to be good and indeed, first signs are extremely promising. I know a guy who will buy his first current-gen console and probably a TV to go along with it, just to play this, supposing it's any good.

GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER YOU Female Doggo!

Looks like it's going to have quick-time events! YYYAAAYY!!!!

When they're done right, they aren't all that bad.

IF it is quicktime events to fight off the probing attacks of a facehugger that's launched itself at you, then that would probably be an appropriate mechanic.
