Section:

Had you asked me under what conditions I would be willing to choose Dr. Luigi as Game of the Week, my answer would likely have been, "only if it were, literally, the only game to be released that week."

Well played, Dr. Luigi.

... well played, indeed.

In this, the Year of Luigi.

Had to get it in one last time.

It will always be the Year of Luigi in our hearts. Our green, cowardly hearts.

Glory to The Year of Luigi!

Also, thanks Sean for continuing to do these articles despite the amount of heckling we give you in the comments. I'm looking forward to seeing next year's picks and the ensuing chaos.

Have I got news for you!

Do we know yet if this game is going to be any good?

Year of Luigi 2: High Jump Higher

I hear it's like Dr. Mario for grownups.

Maybe this time we'll get Paper Luigi.

I like Luigi more than Mario. Luigi has that 'thing' going on.

In this, the year of our Lord Luigi, 2013.5.

The Year of Luigi. It seemed like such a bold new direction for everyone. A promise of hope and freedom for the marginalized.
But once you let a man like Luigi take power, he will find ways to hold on to that power. Democracy? Not here. Not anymore.

What do you have against JRPGs, anyway?

Luigi. Man that guy is a parkour legend. If you want to find him, just look for Nabbit.

All the parts between when I put the disc in the system and when I take it back out again.

Given, that's like two minutes. Tops.

At some point, I may write a non-sarcastic answer as an article.

Here's my question: why does the subject of Elysium's dislike of JRPGs even come up in a TWA thread where the only game being released is a match-3 game?

Besides, as the saying goes, there's no accounting for taste, so why even bother?

I have nothing against JRPGs as I never found anything to hate. Of course that comes from deliberately not playing them.

I did play one JRPG. It was Final Fantasy number whatever on the ORIGINAL Game Boy. I played a robot with human parents. It was cool. That was also the last JRPG I ever played.

I really enjoyed the game but once I was done I kept noticing the BIG JRPG releases felt samey? A shooter is samey as well but shooters appeal to me. Weird.

Luigi clearly takes better care of himself than Mario.

That's what's going on here. Luigi is like, 'My body is a temple.'

Anyone can have a body like Luigi's if all you eat is coins and ghosts.

Fixed.

Ok, yeah, totally meant that as a joke, not sure why it got taken seriously . . . I don't even like JRPGs either. *shrug*

More smileys?
