Would a Co-op Mode Help?

Section:

I didn't buy Doom. I don't know that I will buy Doom. I've never been much of a FPS fan and I never played any of the previous Dooms or Quakes (or even more than an hour of Half Life). I'd certainly like to watch someone play or check out the demo, but I think I'll save my money for something else. I did, however, buy the latest installment of something I have a love / hate relationship with. The screenshots weren't much to look at, but it promised some improvements that I simply had to take advantage of. I haven't put enough time into it to give any first impressions yet, but I expect I'm not about to beat it anytime soon.

I hate Quicken almost as much as Turbo Tax. I'm one of the loyal customers that got screwed by the DRM they tossed into Turbo Tax two years ago. Installation failed after registration during program update so Turbo Tax wouldn't start. Tried installing it on another computer and it wouldn't due to the fact that it was already registered on my first computer. Tried getting ahold of tech support, but it turned out I would have to pay them for it.

Nuts to that, tried Tax Cut and I couldn't be happier.

Dude, get the walkthrough.

Someone needs the Quicken Quad Damage codes (I believe its "Wife.Kids.Car.Mortgage")

P.S. Sway can sure draw cute chicks who know how to tear a man down!

Interesting story about Quicken..

One of the guys here at my company has the largest documented Quicken Database. Just a tad over 130mb.

Verified with their top programmers/tech guys at Intuit. One of our good friends is a VP at Intuit.

The previous largest DB they've seen in the wild clocked at just under 70mb.

They actually are amazed that Quicken still "works" on his Laptop..

awesome comic.

I'm waiting for the "infinite deposits" code before I buy the new version of Quicken. For some reason gamefaqs hasn't posted it yet.

Ha! I have a game like that too. It's a MMORPG called "Banking Online." Kicks my ass every time I boot it up. I try not to play it any more than I have to.

What was the old Sim City cheat? porntipsguzzardo or something like that?

130MB is HUGE for a Quicken DB. I can't imagine how many transactions one would need to document for it to be that size. Maybe if I used JPGs for each of my Payees.

I actually don't mind Quicken too much. I've been using it for about four or five years now. Supposedly 2K5 provides an even easier interface for downloading transactions directly into your accounts. I haven't gotten it to work yet, but it seems like it'd be handy. Between paying bills online and downloading transactions directly into Quicken, I might actually be able to tame the paper nest I've created around my desk.

Haha! QUICKEN ROXxORS!!

I have Quicken 2004 and it's simply great, it's really helped me keep control of my spending. I need a program that can contact my bank, collaborate with what I put in it and still manage to come up with some sort of realistic financial record.

Though I quite frenquently get my asskicked at that game, it's better than the oldschool boardgame.

I remember that, it was before I was using Quicken. They've backed off that completely because of their completely irate customers, it was nice to see it was actually affecting sales. I think they're not going to try that again, either.

Great cartoon

I use MS Money. I know the whole about trusting MS with data, but I like it much better than Quicken, the interface is just easier for me.

Yep, I'm all about MS Money. It's super easy to use and info presentation looks good and is easy to read whether looking at account transactions or stock performance.

Cool, I get to say it this time! They should put that comic on a T-Shirt!

I need someone to teach me how to use Quicken 2004 since I got in for Xmas last year. :O
